I dont think Josh or Melo realize another player wore #15 for those two years in between Melo and Jokic. Which makes Melo being offended over this even funnier.
I like Melo, but if fans watching he never at the Nuggets games, always the Knicks, so I mean I don't know he feels slighted by the Nuggets, when it seems like both sides have moved on and chose their sides.
Also Jokic was a late 2nd round pick that they probably didn't have any expectations for, was probably going to be a draft and stash pick, so I do believe Jokic getting #15 was just random.
Come on dude. Iverson isn’t known as a nugget like. Overall I really don’t think they thought jokic was gonna be who he became. Both sides are correct to me.
We were all concerned that Caitlin Clark was going to grab 15 on the Fever, and Carmelo would suffer another meltdown .... fortunately, after tense negotiations, Caitlin has agreed to wear only # 22. Carmelo should be able to sleep tonight.

It's not a big deal but it is a little shady because these teams know the significance of impactful players to the franchise. The Magic gave Dwight Howard's number to another player and they've never been as good since he left
Melo is a Denver legend. But sadly, no. 15 on Denver will be retired someday but not on his name. It will be on Jokic.
If you ask Carmelo if he would rather be remembered as a Knick or Nugget, he would surely say Knick. So don’t take it personal when you are now forgotten.
Do you see Mourning or LJ missing being a Hornet. They embraced the teams they want their legacy to be remembered for, the Heat and Knicks.
If he cared, he would have retired a Nugget like Garnett did with TWolves.
When your former team wins a chip🏆it hits different lol. 😂
Carmelo has a bigger ego larger than his accolades.
I like Melo and he was a great player for the team. I am not mad that he wanted to get traded so he could be closer to home and his ex wife didn’t like Denver I understand why he asked to be traded. But he asked to be traded…once that happens retiring his jersey was out the door. Plus, he only made it to the Western Conference finals once…not a NBA championship but the conference finals. That is not enough to retire his number since he was traded to New York.
Melo just salty that a second round pick has eclipsed all of his mid accomplishments in Denver.
You guys didn’t draft iverson lol yall petty there’s a difference
Can you please work out a deal so life long fans can watch the Nuggets during the regular season?
Melo is an entitled thrash nowhere near as good as Jokic
😅 Did he say "on something " like he wasn't on his own podcasts when he said that⁉️
🎵🎵Come on Arsenal, come on Arsenal, come on Arsenal!!!!!🎵🎵🔴⚪️
I could tell a lot of people did see what melo and went off of headlines because
Get your audio right.
Melo wanted to be a Knick…… the end
So if someone wants to wear 23 for the Cavs does that make sense ?
i dont think nuggets ever wanted to retire no15 for Carmelo. He was protesting nuggets in games on the court. So different story. The decision was shitshow but LeBron never had done such thing on the court.
Melo was talking about Anthony Randolph not Jokic.
Mr. Kroenke, you might want to go after Luka? Luka with Murray, MP, AG, and Jokic! Oh my! That lineup could win 4 STRAIGHT Championships! The Nuggets next "3" first round picks won't be worth more than Luka! Seriously TRADE 4 LUKA!
JOKIC IS REAL # 15. melo is classic player for denver. Jokic is Denver Legend
My right ear enjoyed this
If Camelo worried more about being a team player instead of a trivial uni number, his legacy would have been a lot bigger.
this is crazy the same way everyone forgets Kobe, how Kobe was compared to MJ and was called a Jordan clone was in the goat debate now he isn't even in the top 5; its LeBron and MJ and Kobe who; the people in the comment section either you don't know or forget what Carmelo did for that franchise how quick he took them to the playoffs led them to the finals that dude was monster. Now all of a sudden he was aight; y'all putting this dude on CJ McCollum level wtf
Kroenke is respectful, this chat- weirdo's
He basically told on himself in this ha, side note all the Melo basketball player slander in the comments is crazy. We know ya'll love Jokic, but at one time you loved Melo too, sheesh get over it. I'm an OKC fan and which was a worse situation imo with KD leaving the way he did, left me HATING KD for a minute, but eventually you gotta get over your feelings and recognize the person and all the positive moments they created for you and not the one negative you choose to dwell on. Dust off your scales ppl.
I’m sorry to all new basketball fans but I only know one 15 for Denver Melo 🤷🏾♂️
shoutout Masai Ujuri
As a Detroit piston fan, I just wish we had a great owner like him. Gores makes the organization look horrible despite young talent, he sucks at hiring the right guys
That's careless on the part of the organization. I mean how can this not be something you think of when players come through?
Hate to say it but Melo can kick rocks.. you can’t ask for a trade and then feel some type of way about what the team does with anything after you leave
Melo, worry about your New York career. You left them people, bruh. I'm a Bulls fan. Die hard. When Jordan returned with Wizards, I still cheered for my Bulls. So you left. You don't control your legacy in Denver. You are a NY cat. Bask in that glory.
I dont think Josh or Melo realize another player wore #15 for those two years in between Melo and Jokic.
Which makes Melo being offended over this even funnier.
MPJ has that killer instinct that runs through his veins.
When’s the last time Melo even watched a Nugget game?? Every Knicks game they show Melo in the crowd, man hasn’t watched a nuggets game in 20 years.
I respect melo for not living denver for nothing like durant did
I like Melo, but if fans watching he never at the Nuggets games, always the Knicks, so I mean I don't know he feels slighted by the Nuggets, when it seems like both sides have moved on and chose their sides.
This dude is a F*ckin Kid. Respectfully. No Jokic opinion....just facts.
Melo did more than other player there other nikola. Those Denver years melo deserved his number retired in Denver. Feelings should have nothing to do with the work he put in there
Context is key he wanted to be traded because y’all wanted to tank/rebuild & keep that trash can coach ( who wanted to trade Melo & half the team, especially the ones he hates to this day ). Also said coach should’ve have had or kept the job as long as he did in the 1st place .. He didn’t just randomly wake up say player empowerment trade me asap.
Carmelo Anthony is not hall of fame he good player jokic whole different story he gonna be hall of fame
AG should play for Serbia in paris,us dont want him but we do
MPJ is sweeter than sugar
I’m still not over the fact Melo forced his way out of Denver
Yo MPJ. Josh brought up #3. As an older Nuggets fan, to me #3 will always be Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf. Sorry J.Straw and Iverson and Lawson.
🤨 how old yall owner?
He not telling the truth if its no hard feelings and the number was just a coincidence why melo didnt get a tribute video when he came back? Why didnt he get a solid tribute on social media when he retired? Why isnt his half of the 15 in talks to be retired? Why do they not acknowledge him? And ai didnt put in enough work and was not there long enough for his #3 to never be worn again in Denver so thats not a good comparison melo did put in the work for his 15 to never be touched again Lets discuss it
