This is really funny

This Legion lore series was where it started, it's still unique, and some of the best easy listening you can find on the internet. Thank you.
I enjoy most of Arch's work too, though in recent times I think he has put in a little more humor than he should.
@@joshuafischer684I can’t watch his stuff. He gets pissy about dumb shit like a tech priest being non binary.
@@joshuafischer684I'd rather listen to the LGBT-positive Oculus than whatever the fuck Arch has become.
Arch isn't all that bad. As long as they're making 40k content I'll keep supporting em. Although I think Oculus immersive writing and the character he portrays is really well done, and that is something the honestly no other channel has done. We may wait all month for 2 videos but Oculus's content is ALWAYS worth the wait.

If Oculus wanted to do another interview vid like the Iskandar Khayon one, "The Anchorite" is a Word Bearer who repented on Calth. He's still in an Imperial prison cell, sometimes giving advice to the Ecclisiarchy but mostly praying in solitude for the Emperor's forgiveness.
Oh, and a suicide attempt also got him put in a Dreadnought.
He should Collab with with Baldermort....
Baldies got a Word Bearer character that's elite levels of cruel incarnate
Would be sick
Oh I would KILL for this
Inquistor Calendra be itching to condemn Oculus but she's helpless as no famous heretics would entertain her, let alone interrogate them without the help of Oculus.
Splendid - it woud be race between Custodes and Ordo Hereticus who'd get him first.
Love the way Oculus ponders his choice of words, at points.
So immersive
Big E: "For the last time! I am not the Messiah!"
Word Bearers: "HE IS THE MESSIAH!"
They weren't completely wrong...
He's a very naughty boy.
Big E: "You're all individuals!"
Lorgar: "Fine Dad I'm gonna go start my own church with beer and chaos! You know what forget the beer."
I should know, I've followed a few!
If my dad smashed up the Lego project I'd been working on for weeks I would have turned to the worship of Chaos too, I really can't blame the man.
Russ: "Dad, that might have been a wee bit excessive."
Emperor: "Lorgar is a big boy I'm sure it'll be fine."
Russ: *sighs and checks to see if they're done with repairs from Angron's therapy session*
I think this was it, unless I miscounted that’s all 18 Astarties legions. Congratulations Oculus that’s a hell of an accomplishment.
What about [REDACTED]?
I just watched a Majorkill video talking about 40k content creators, specifically long form, and Oculus wasn’t mentioned. How do we fix this? This channel easily lives up to the mantle of Lutien and Baldermort. It irks me that shorts creators get tapped but the glorious Oculus isn’t getting the proper nod in the larger community. I MUST fix this somehow.
I do not challenge the accuracy of the great lore master's record lightly. However, if my knowledge proves to be correct, this thrice cursed legion was humbled at the city of Monarchia on Khur, not the world of Nuceria.
Let this be tested against your records with the hope that the integrity of your great archive is maintained.
Regardless, may you continue to bless us with your extensive knowledge for you truly have a gift, and it is an honor to receive it.
perfect time, coffee is ready and I've got time :)
And so ends the Legiones Astartes Series. Praise be to Him on the Throne 🙏
Some of the older Legions videos likely need a redo. Especially the Iron Warriors and Salamanders.
Gloria in excelsis, Terra.
Thank you for your amazing work and dedication. I have been listening to your work on the Orks from last year and have done several passes I find it so compelling and brilliant.
Excellent video today. Liked and shared.
Godspeed.
🙏🏼🌟
Was searching for a Word Bearers lore video, and low and behold one of my favourite 40k lore CZcamsrs delivers the goods! Great work as always!
Highly recommend Oculus's many other videos. It's the "Good Shit", as they say.
Only Oculus could make sharing a body with a Demon sound like homework for future students
Kharn? Lorgar asked in a soft tone. Have you heared about the Word? (Who Killed Argel Tal)
An unexpectedly early addition to the lore, much appreciated. Phenomenal content. ❤
Hydra maledictus.
SYMBOLISM, SYMBOLISM, SYMBOLISM!! Say it with me Occulus... symbolism.
Regards, Adeptus Grammaticus
No, he's using symbology correctly, here. It only looks wrong because we're more used the meaning of the symbol as opposed to the application of it.
Ave, Dominus Nox.
My ears are assaulted by people's emperor forsaken habit of misusing the word symbology.
I must admit that I failed to notice a rare and I do mean RARE correct usage.
@@ctfireinsky9554 Have you seen Boondock Saints?
@Deridus yes, yes I have.
Attention all Arbites be on the lookout for a reported Huge Freakin Guy he's wanted for serially crushing many innocent citizens.
Thankyou for being, for me, in my triumvirate of best lore channels on CZcams ❤️
Finally, the legiones astartes playlist is 100% complete. Pending any potential remakes, of course.
And thus the capstone is placed on the Legiones Astartes record stack. And what a record! Thank you once again, Oculus. It was worth the wait. Looking forward to Calth :)
Finding your content in my subscribed feed is like a Salamander finding an artifact of Vulkan. Such happiness
The art for the Gal Vorbak is absolutely beautiful!
The idea of early Imperial Heralds resembling the Inquisition appeals.
Who knows. Perhaps one of the Second Founding chapters to operate in the wake of the Heresy were Loyalist "Word Bearers" who never wavered in their faith in the Emperor. Having proved this loyalty during the conflict, were quietly renamed and folded into the bewildering array of Imperium assets during the Scouring. A group regularly employed, in relative secrecy, by the Inquisition for their unique talents.
Bear witness to the grand lore master
Spelled it wrong. Loremaster.
May you rest in the Emperor's light Oculus. Regain your strength so that you may continue your exemplary service.
Maybe my favourite Traitor Legion. Great stuff as always.
Yay! My favorite Traitor Legion. Thanks Oculus!
The bit at the end with a glimpse at how emotionally taxing all this is on him reminded me of how much I love the way the character seems to hate what the Imperium has become but also recognizes that every other option is so far worse for a human in his era. Which in turn reminded me a quote of a character I included in a Warhammer 40k TRPG campaign (used a homebrew instead of any official game) based on The Oculus.
"The Imperium is the best we have, but it can be better. It should be better. It has been better and if my life's work can make it even one iota better then it was all worth it. That is why I look towards the past. That is why I share what I have learned, and that is why I will continue my work until the day my corspe is recycled into starche for the parishoners at the Palace gate."
Thanks for starting and finishing the Astartes Legion series. Its how I found your channel.
And that's it....a week/two week binge of your excellent channel has me completely caught up. Thank you for every video, and I look forward to all the new ones in the future!
Your service to the Emperor is duly noted! The Emperor protects!

Nice
If you think this is nice, I worry for you. I approve wholeheartedly, but I am still worried. 😅
In all seriousness, it is always nice to see Occulus drop lore.
Can't wait for what comes next! Thank you for your work!
Yet another excellent product of your labor, sir.
Good to hear from you again chronicler.
This was a masterful lore video on the Seventeenth. I applaud your precise work and depth of knowledge.
Another great vid from Occulus!
Wonderful work
Thanks for the video!
Thank you, Lore Master.
It's so hard to find good lore videos on Word Bearers. No one takes them seriously so half of them are just dismissive rants about Erebus or Lorgar. Still the best legion to date
Ooooo. Our dear scribe needs a vacation.
Better double check those wards. Wouldn't want Baldermort's Word Bearer to find an easy entry.
I am rooting for you!
Amazing video! Your 40K lore videos are 🔥❤️🙌🏆🏆🏆
Been waiting for this for a long time
Praise be to the Oculus
Many taunt Lorgar and the Word Bearers players but you must remember, they were able to grow to the size rivaling many of their contemporaries in both legion size, amount of armor, as well as the size of their fleet.
Another great video
Very much looking forward to how he portrays the Calth Battle
Which names are cooler for Lorgar's Legion? Word Bearers or Imperial Heralds?
Heralds, by a looooong marging
Word Bearers. It just feels more important than the generic name Imperial Heralds.
Word Bearers for sure, it gives a much deeper sense of conviction and zeal
I kinda like Word Bearers personally
Having a bad day anxiety wise due to ptsd. The heavens answer and oculus butt stuff loads a video.
I just finished the book with the furious abyss in it and man those Word bearers were some evil people
Yeah they took a running dive down the slippery slope. Went from pious Emperor botherers to the unholy fusion of eldritch cult with the Covenant.
The Progenitors of the roles of Chapter masters and Chaplains to the Codex Atartes
Thanks
Praise be the Urizen!
thanks
Love my boys
I wonder if the Word Bearers were meant to be the mirror of the Blood Angels, leaders of the Imperial standards as the Hearlds before falling where the Angels were the fallen monsters of the empire before rising on the wings of their primarch to the heights on Imperial perfection.
Last time I was this earlier Thunder Warriors were still a thing
The Emperor protects
So, anybody in say the Custodese or the Emperor stop and think "man those chapter names sound awfully familiar in a really bad way?" I'm getting the impression the Emperor fundamentally underestimated or didn't understand what he was up against in regards to the Dark Gods, or he was massively distracted and or not paying attention to some really crucial stuff. Especially if he knew Colchis had only just been liberated from a chaos cult. I know secrecy was the Emperor's bread and butter, but of all the kids you need to have a special talk about the warp giving you a bad touch the one raised by a chaos priest would be the one that needa it!
18:00 'humbling of the legion at NUCERIA' what?

Most Legions: *bringing many worlds in compliance with the Imperium at efficient pace*
Big E: "Good."
Word Bearers: *takes so very slow in bringing worlds by building up a lot of giant churches in worship of Big E and making everyone to convert*
Big E: *brings out the Golden Paddle* "Lorgar, I just want to talk to you..."

I'm not really going to be overly critical about using a language that doesn't even follow its own conventions... It outright ignores them more often than not. Just be glad the man knew what the word meant and used it correctly.

Would it be possible for you to caption your videos? I know it's a lot of work to ask, but auto captions are sketchy at the best of times and it'd make your videos a lot more accessible to a wider audience. Thanks so much for the hours of entertainment you've given us

Word Bearers, more like traitor bearers huh? HUH? yesssss
Pretty slow crusade/Imperial expansion

The whole razing of monarchia and the leadup to it is some of the most horribly written lore of the heresy
