I wish I had more of the walnut, Charlie. It is a pleasure to turn. Easy on the tools. Actually, I guess I do have more, just not this big. I think what I have is maybe 6" wide. I guess I could make the same again, just smaller. Thanks for your comment!

Phil
That is beautiful. I think the bead was a great idea.
Thank you very much, Stephen! Agreed, the bead makes all the difference.
Phil
You were born knowing how to operate a wood lathe. Your work 4 years ago is as good as today.
Haha, if you only knew, Ronnie! I spent hundreds of hours watching CZcams videos learning how to turn. Almost gave it up, so many huge catches and wood flying everywhere! Finally, one day, it all just clicked. 😊
@@PhilAndersonShadyAcresWoodshop
I start everyday watching 3-4 hours of wood turners trying to learn ya’ll’s secret.
Such a beautiful bowl! Great turning. I learn something new from you each vid. Love your work and how you demonstrate. Thank you.

My pleasure, Andre, thank you! 😊
I,m Glad you took the chance on the bead..It sets the whole piece off....I have a thick piece of Mahogany i have been saving till I got a bigger lathe(witch I just bought) to make a bowl similar to this...Thank's
I agree, Steve. I'm working on a piece now that I wish I would have left room for the bead, but didn't. It really needs to be there when you have a flat top.
Wow, a new lathe? So cool! Enjoy and let me know how you get on with it!
Thank you for your great comment!
Phil
Very nice!
😊
Another quality peace from a great

Thank you, Dave! Cheers! 😊
@@PhilAndersonShadyAcresWoodshop I have a small lathe ordered, it should be here Thursday.
It's going to be a challenge to turn wood from a wheelchair but I will adapt 😎
@@DaveSquibbSr I wish you the best of luck, Dave! The challenge is to set it on a surface that allows you to get your legs under it while still not being too high to use. I watched a video of a setup like that some years ago. The guy seemed to make it work pretty well.
Very nice job. Thanks
Thank you, Donna, it's still a favorite of mine.
