I played 5 games yesterday and conceded 3 pens in 1 match from holding l2 and my opponents runs straight into me. I got 4 red cards from this in 5 games.
fifa is a game full of kids playing, game play is made for kids... fifa always made dribbling more meta than passing...is that simple. You can run dribbling from central filed but you cannot pass normally from the central field....makes no sense

The gameplay on PS5 is honestly like watching a blind person trying to cross a busy road it's tragic like passing doesn't work, defending is wank and the menus are laggy and really slow to respond, some people might love the gameplay and people like me who don't like it.
At 5:25 its worth mentioning as well that you literally cant defend cutbacks because of the assisted passing. Even if the lane is blocked, the game will correct the pass to avoid the person cutting the lane so it still goes through. Not sure if youve mentioned this but i havent watched the whole thing yet :)

even so, blocking off the passing lane will 9 times out of 10 just result in them getting a corner, which is a guaranteed goal if they've got a player with aerial+ so whether you're conceding from a cutback, or conceding from the corner they get out of an attempted cutback, they're still getting rewarded for doing the same thing over and over

BUT go watch my old highlight videos of me playing 15 and go watch some of the nice attacking plays I was able to do. I’ll BE LUCKY to score 1 goals like that in 5 games for this game.
I agree with everything you said here, I could tell after 1 week the gameplay was even worse than 23 in my opinion. No team on the planet can mark every player and hunt players down in the opposition half and not be punished. Also it’s easier to score a trivela from 35 yards than finish a 1v1 from 10 yards sometimes, make it make sense 😩
Spot on video. I played 2 FUT Champs, so around 40 games and in around 37 of them, the other player was doing the exact same thing. Sprint on the wing to the corner line, go inside, pass in front of goal. Over and over and over again, with the occasional controlled sprint through the middle. I don't get it honestly, it's not fun to play like this, and it's not fun to play against this. 0 brain meta and gameplay.
This sums up why I’ve been struggling so much, I try to play proper football and can’t string passes together yet people do a speed boost step over and leave you for dead 😂

Only played FUT in Fifa 13 and 14. Man those times. 75 rated Esswein, the Nigeria connection, Draxler IF, fkn Butland the best goalie to exist in this game, Brazilian silvers with 5 Star skills. The times man.

Bro I swear the game didn’t even have a honeymoon phase. The game has built in Auto press and auto drop back. Majority of playerbase regardless of if they know it or not has this auto overload ball side press bumble bee swarm on by default. 45 depth triggers it and the farther up you go the more insane it gets. There’s nowhere to go but down the wings. I’m a narrow merchant but I can’t play down the middle this year it’s impossible. So it takes away different avenues and styles that people would use typically. It’s just all wings and cutback play. Lob balls and thru passes have been nerfed to make way for playstyles. If you don’t have a lobbed ball playstyle good luck with ur long passing! There’s no variety and the game auto presses and auto drops back for people.

This game makes no sense. Regarding the AI attacking, I run into so many situations where I have an open run, and then my teammate runs into me and brings the defender rather than running into open space. So frustrating

Passing to my midfielder isn't just an option because the AI ist pressing the man with man coverage. So i need to wait till i get a bounce back or wait for a mistake of my opponent when passing through the middle. The addiction part you talking about just nails it. Rats just want their cheese.
I relate so much to the scenario where you see you can make a pass then the defender somehow someway turns around your player to get the ball. This shit makes no sense. AI-wise, your never comes short. Absolutely ridiculous 🤦🏾♂️

He needs to combine player's instructions, work rate and custom tactics, and perhaps the formation also, in order to have his teammates making runs and powerful attacking combinations. I'm also a fan of 'joga bonito', tiki-taka, and I can assure you, without the proper tactics combinations, your team will not move. But if you nailed the tuning between these elements, your teammates will move like a charm, attacking spaces, making combinations, almost instantly.

You need game volume, mass your opponent's defenses, create havock in third field. TOTAL FOOTBALL!!! If you're in a equal game match, the chances that it will be decided by a bounce back bs from a tackle at 90+ are great. And by his own comment, he is talking exactly about playing style. He needs to sort it out tacticaly to accomplish that, and of course, it's not only about your team, your attack is also influenced by how the adversary is set tacticaly as well. e.g if your attacking is 30 wide, and opponent's defense is 30 wide, you'll have a frontal direct confront, no spaces for your offensive AI move or exploit forward, therefore, no runs to create spaces or whatsoever. But not only that, the positions also influence, you need to create numerical advantage. 71 depth pressure or any pressure will work if you have numerical advantage on field. How to obtain that? I have felt the same. I am not the type of guy who do skill moves often. When i get the ball to my CMs, i get stuck. I dont know whom to pass as my attackers are not at all making any movement or run. They are simply static. I simply give away the ball to the opposition out of pressure.
But when you go watch content creators they have a complete different gameplay! They can build up from the middle from the wings, pass the ball in the box etc…I know what you talking about brother we are in the same boat

This is a much needed break down on everything that’s been driving me crazy. Also have to mention the insane DDA that gives my opponent the edge every single time I’m up 2 or 3 goals. Buddy will come up with goals out of nowhere like my players freeze or forget their positions. I don’t know what to think anymore 😅
They need to fix the menus. They crash constantly. I tried to play matches and for a good while it kept saying that the opponent had left and then crashed. I tried it 6+ times in a row having to restart the game repeatedly. When gameplay is good it’s great. But when the servers are full the gameplay quality drops so much.
Even when the servers are not terrible gameplay still is not skillbased at all. Just everything feels responsive but all broken gameplay is still in it.
I've been playing since fifa 14, i have even uploaded content before on FIFA rtg. I rarely comment, bro you are right. All I do is swing around the back to just run down the wings each game. Its brain numbing

it is very true about the addiction towards rewards. my nephew(12 years younger than me) begs me to leave my packs for him to unpack, he runs down all game and just cut back passes, they do this not for the sake of playing proper realistic football, they just want to win the rewards to pack lol

No one can beat EA on this because most people do not care about the gameplay, people care about the Ultimate Team concept, the packs, the sbcs, the rewards etc Efootball is a much better football game as of now but its not enough to make people play because it doesn’t have the addicting packs, the casino sbcs, the “thrill” of getting a big valuable player. In Efootball you can get an amazing team in a week and to be honest their gamemodes are lacking a bit

I think the referee also sucks this year, its so easy to get red cards inside penalty area but i didnt even press any button. And some times they just ignores the foul, i think its even worse than the last year.

Pretty much done with this gameplay. Just played a game experiencing this exactly. The guy is up 2-0. I some how get it back 2-2. I’m about to score a 3rd goal to take the lead guy tackles from behind, penalty and then he pauses and quits. He is doing the shitty mechanics and I’m still somehow going to take the lead then he quits before I get a chance too. Best part is game ended up being stuck on loading then I had to close the app and it counted as a loss! Great game EA

This champs weekend, i played Was just bs, i went from 7-1 friday to 11-9 sunday, bs game play and I lost numerous games cuz of No penalty indicator for all My pens.

The attributes haven't mattered in over 8 years. You could put a 6'7 striker and still misses the header or get out jumped by 5'5 player. Or out paced by 56 pace back... vs. 89 pace

Back in the day you had a bunch of good midfielders in the game. The issue nowadays is that even midfielders have insane stats, which deletes midfield play, too fast too many plays.. same applies to cdms. Every card being insane just pushes all plays to the striker AS FAST AS POSSIBLE.. sad reality
10 hours of rivals is unimaginable. This video is the conclusion of the rivals effect on a person. I'm dev 2 and I'm already concerned and worried about how to get 7 wins for next week's rewards only because of these rats and BS gameplay that we are facing. It's just sad
I'm actually impressed how detailed you can go to precise how broken this game is. Can't break out pressing with 4231 possession slow build but as soon as I just do 2 stepovers I'm in front of the goal.
Everything in this game relies on how good the connection and the ping is, you can see the differences immediately when the gameplay is fast and smooth you can defend and switch right, your attackers run with you while building up, but when its slow you literally can’t do nothing I always message my opponents when the gameplay is trash most of them are playing on 5-10 ping and I’m playing on 30-40 Ping i have a 200MB internet btw .. the way how this server thing works is retarded literally not fair at all.
Manual goalkeeping is such a travesty. It’s like once you’ve broken down a parked defence. You have a random chance of scoring depending on whether you aimed at the right or the left of the goal and whether the keeper moves or not (which most people do). It’s not football.

I've played career mode more than FUT this year so far and I beg you, if you've got some free time, give career mode a go on any difficulty higher than legendary and watch how the AI attack. It's literally hug the touchline, dribble in a superhuman way, fish for a penalty or a cut back and then goal. It's genuinely embarrassing to play, it's like the AI itself knows how broken cut backs and by-line bashing is. Pathetic game.

ive already reduced my number of play hours, its better for me to study rather than playing it for more than 1-2 hours daily.

No team on the planet can mark every player and hunt players down in the opposition half and not be punished. Also it’s easier to score a trivela from 35 yards than finish a 1v1 from 10 yards sometimes, make it make sense 😩

Spot on video. I played 2 FUT Champs, so around 40 games and in around 37 of them, the other player was doing the exact same thing. Sprint on the wing to the corner line, go inside, pass in front of goal. Over and over and over again, with the occasional controlled sprint through the middle. I don't get it honestly, it's not fun to play like this, and it's not fun to play against this. 0 brain meta and gameplay.
This sums up why I’ve been struggling so much, I try to play proper football and can’t string passes together yet people do a speed boost step over and leave you for dead 😂

Bro I swear the game didn’t even have a honeymoon phase. The game has built in Auto press and auto drop back. Majority of playerbase regardless of if they know it or not has this auto overload ball side press bumble bee swarm on by default. 45 depth triggers it and the farther up you go the more insane it gets. There’s nowhere to go but down the wings. I’m a narrow merchant but I can’t play down the middle this year it’s impossible. So it takes away different avenues and styles that people would use typically. It’s just all wings and cutback play. Lob balls and thru passes have been nerfed to make way for playstyles. If you don’t have a lobbed ball playstyle good luck with ur long passing! There’s no variety and the game auto presses and auto drops back for people.

He needs to combine player's instructions, work rate and custom tactics, and perhaps the formation also, in order to have his teammates making runs and powerful attacking combinations. I'm also a fan of 'joga bonito', tiki-taka, and I can assure you, without the proper tactics combinations, your team will not move. But if you nailed the tuning between these elements, your teammates will move like a charm, attacking spaces, making combinations, almost instantly.

If you're in a equal game match, the chances that it will be decided by a bounce back bs from a tackle at 90+ are great. And by his own comment, he is talking exactly about playing style. He needs to sort it out tacticaly to accomplish that, and of course, it's not only about your team, your attack is also influenced by how the adversary is set tacticaly as well. e.g if your attacking is 30 wide, and opponent's defense is 30 wide, you'll have a frontal direct confront, no spaces for your offensive AI move or exploit forward, therefore, no runs to create spaces or whatsoever. I have felt the same. I am not the type of guy who do skill moves often. When i get the ball to my CMs, i get stuck. I dont know whom to pass as my attackers are not at all making any movement or run. They are simply static. I simply give away the ball to the opposition out of pressure.
But when you go watch content creators they have a complete different gameplay! They can build up from the middle from the wings, pass the ball in the box etc…I know what you talking about brother we are in the same boat

This is a much needed break down on everything that’s been driving me crazy. Also have to mention the insane DDA that gives my opponent the edge every single time I’m up 2 or 3 goals. Buddy will come up with goals out of nowhere like my players freeze or forget their positions. I don’t know what to think anymore 😅

They need to fix the menus. They crash constantly. I tried to play matches and for a good while it kept saying that the opponent had left and then crashed. I tried it 6+ times in a row having to restart the game repeatedly.
When gameplay is good it’s great. But when the servers are full the gameplay quality drops so much.
Even when the servers are not terrible gameplay still is not skillbased at all. Just everything feels responsive but all broken gameplay is still in it.

Efootball is a much better football game as of now but its not enough to make people play because it doesn’t have the addicting packs, the casino sbcs, the “thrill” of getting a big valuable player. Player lock is needed tho. Because it creates skill gap and atleast you can get a normal simple run forward.
I think the referee also sucks this year, its so easy to get red cards inside penalty area but i didnt even press any button. And some times they just ignores the foul, i think its even worse than the last year.

Just played a game experiencing this exactly. The guy is up 2-0. I some how get it back 2-2. I’m about to score a 3rd goal to take the lead guy tackles from behind, penalty and then he pauses and quits.
He is doing the shitty mechanics and I’m still somehow going to take the lead then he quits before I get a chance too.
Best part is game ended up being stuck on loading then I had to close the app and it counted as a loss!

This champs weekend, i played Was just bs, i went from 7-1 friday to 11-9 sunday, bs game play and I lost numerous games cuz of No penalty indicator for all My pens.
I just can’t believe we have another year of cutbacks, it’s amazing how desperate this community is, funny thing is that people have been non stop spamming these for the best part of 2 years if EA somehow patch it where cut backs are harder to do the community would be completely lost because they rely heavily on easy tactics
This game is literally just 90% of your games being exactly the same, against some bum sitting at 71 depth and running down the line for 90 minutes
The attributes haven't mattered in over 8 years. You could put a 6'7 striker and still misses the header or get out jumped by 5'5 player. Or out paced by 56 pace back... vs. 89 pace
After watching this im done with this game. I’ve spent 2 days wondering what I’m doing wrong and it is EA leeching off my anger to spend money. So on that note I’m done with this company. I'm actually impressed how detailed you can go to precise how broken this game is. Can't break out pressing with 4231 possession slow build but as soon as I just do 2 stepovers I'm in front of the goal.
Everything in this game relies on how good the connection and the ping is, you can see the differences immediately when the gameplay is fast and smooth you can defend and switch right, your attackers run with you while building up, but when its slow you literally can’t do nothing I always message my opponents when the gameplay is trash most of them are playing on 5-10 ping and I’m playing on 30-40 Ping i have a 200MB internet btw .. the way how this server thing works is retarded literally not fair at all.
My game just stops working whenever I have to defend in the box or whenever I get into the box or breakaway on offense. It’s ridiculous.

Manual goalkeeping is such a travesty. It’s like once you’ve broken down a parked defence. You have a random chance of scoring depending on whether you aimed at the right or the left of the goal and whether the keeper moves or not (which most people do). It’s not football.

I've played career mode more than FUT this year so far and I beg you, if you've got some free time, give career mode a go on any difficulty higher than legendary and watch how the AI attack. It's literally hug the touchline, dribble in a superhuman way, fish for a penalty or a cut back and then goal. It's genuinely embarrassing to play, it's like the AI itself knows how broken cut backs and by-line bashing is. Pathetic game.
