Your recent video about rats in Fifa was brought up in a Fifa podcast that I listen to. Many podcasts recently have discussed the high pressure, drop back, over the top balls to Haaland, and players not manually controlling defenders ever while letting the AI do everything. It's a known issue and is discussed in the community. @FUTCoaching decided to try the rat tactics to see if he would have better results. Which he did end up with better results and didn't feel as stressed out since the AI did most of the work. FUT In Review podcast even labeled the episode "To Rat or not to Rat". There is a theory that EA purposely made pressure work well to help cut down on players who pass around in the back for the whole game once they get a lead. They go more on this topic and it's worth a listen.

The clip you showed of nicks pes goal. You can still easily score nice buildup goals like that in div 10-5 in fut or div 10-3 in online seasons. After that the rat tactics takeover and thereâs no movement, constant pressure, park the bus, counter attack etc
Imagine the amazing fut game ea would make if they only hired Inception to oversee gameplay!
I've watched inception since fifa 15, he's probably the only creator that's been consistent with gameplay analysis and correct every single time. This guy deserves more and I have no clue how EA doesn't put their game through this guy before they release it every year. Big ups to both you and Nick. You guys are the best in this community!

Itâs funny how different peoples views on what is ratty are different. Now to me itâs about the WAY you use things. 5 back can be ratty or not. I love 5 back because I fell in love with football watching England in Italia 90, running wing backs. Iâve loved wing backs ever since. But I play them attacking. Personally I consider spamming skill moves ratty, cos it doesnât happen in real life and yet over the years of watching you, you do that, but donât call that out. Thatâs not an attack, you do you and enjoy yourself, Iâm just pointing out perceptions are different.

Inception living up to his name
Being one of the people who search for custom tactics, I for one go there because it's the only way I discover how to even play against those constant pressure tactics. This is my second FUT and the first time where I am actually playing consistently, tell me how someone can even win a single game. I went from division 6 to 2 in a span of half a season just by discovering something called custom tactics being so OP, I used to make my own formations and drop two goals with build-up then there you go constant pressure 100 depth every opponent player inside my side. As I always say, as nick confirmed here, the PES skill gap is the actual skill gap and better than any FIFA skill gap ever. wish we had pes with FIFA UI.

I was playing 4-3-3 almost full year since fifa 2019,even if I was losing games. sometimes was changing it for variety, but always start with 4-3-3
the major diff btw constant pressure in fifa and "op mechanics" in other games that there's not mechanic in COD that physically alters the behavior of your opponents players/mechanics in a way that's completely out of your control. There's no setting or command in COD that one can press that makes all your opponents' reloads slower. When you turn on constant pressure in fifa, your opponents' offensive AI literally runs away and hides behind defenders. That's not just "ratty," that's a physical cheat.

The amount of games I lose with 3-2,2-1 or whatever when I have 15+ shots 4+xG and my opponent has 3 shots and scores every one with a trivela causes me to LOSE FULL

I think the only difference compared to other competitive games is people tend to use these tactics because most of us know that this could be the only way to pack something without spending money on the game.

I donât like the meta play style or tactics I just play with my formation Iâve been using since fifa 14. 41212(2) it just works for me. Once I got to division 4 Iâm losing interest to play I just want to get my 8 wins for upgrades weekly rewards. I disagree with your point on Apex. Aceu is entertaining yes. His movement, aim, and trick shots are top tier. Game sense and when to rotate avoid 3rd parties not so much.
I consider playing Apex, a battle royale game, is to win or getting as close to a win as possible in ranked finishing top 5 at least. Where game sense and rotating early to zone and playing the zone is important instead of rushing blindly to get kills just so you get 3rd partied or you be the 3rd and get 4th partied. Then get stuck in zone running the whole game to catch up. What makes Apex a good BR in my opinion is that you can play in any different play style and not one is overly ratty or OP. Unless if someoneâs teaming or cheating obviously.
