I honestly think that in these games where everything seems to go wrong is when EA decides that you have to lose this match.
Play since FIFA 06 and scripting was always a thing since FIFA 13 but we just speculated at that time. Everything got worse since FIFA 20 and i am real if i say that EA FC 24 have like nothing to do w skill anymore. The game decides who win not the skill. How could it be that i know in so many situations (10-20 seconds before it happens) that i will score or concede a goal. I understand u need to protect goofy players but if skill is useless u know the game did everything wrong they could
I’ve also always been talking abt the game being scripted but in ea 24 it’s literally impossible to win sometimes and this happens a lot. last fifa I was a consistent 16 champs wins, division 3/4 player and never had difficulty to qualify for champs but in ea 24 the first time I tried to qualify I couldn’t even get the 4 wins and I find myself in bad situations against rly bad players, sometimes I cant even take the ball from the other dudes feet or I make 30 shots on goal and dont score a single one and the guy makes a shitty trivela with frimpong and it goes in
@@FacTzZiiqexactly, your inputs don’t matter during games where the game decides the outcome, you could play terribly and still win because the game wants you to. It’s so so boring lol, takes all enjoyment out of the game

Scripting this year is a whole other level
One thing is too noticeable when the bad gameplay occurs is player switching. You literally can't switch to the player who stand in front of the opponents, leaving them unmarked and conceded easy goal. That's frustrating tho.

You have to use right stick switching but even that is still a bit dodgy
@@user-cz1pk8ru2jRight stick switching is very frustrating . You switch to a play that can cut off the player you’re chasing and it just switches back to the player chasing the opponent. It’s actually ridiculous , as you can do it over and over again, it just switches back and allows the opponent to go in on gaol.
You keep switching untill you get to the right player. I mean the ai isn’t fucken professor X to read your damn mind
Literally happened to me today. Was up 4-1 at HT and my players just stopped responding to right stick switching and 2nd man press. Which resulted in my opponent walking past VVD and Blanc. He scored 3 goals and it felt like I couldn’t do anything to stop it. I won 6-4 but i should never be in that situation in the first place.
The best thing you can do for bad gameplay is to go into your games list, pull up options tab for ea fc and click uninstall. I did this yesterday and since then ive had no problems whatsoever. Playing this game on a daily basis makes zero sense and you can do so much more better things with your time. I wish you all a happy new year
Just did it right now thank u, ive been truing to complete eusebio but since two weeks the game has been unplayable with delay, i cant even defend properly, i tought to myself its unacceptable i paid 100$ for this game and they arent even arsed to invest in better servers. Hopefully another worthy company makes football games because ea have blood on their hands
Can confirm this as the best solution! I uninstalled in November already and will not touch this or any EA game again.
The inconsistent input delay has been there since FIFA 18 or so. No focus on that whatsoever from EA, but at the same time year after year they’ve made content more expensive and hard to get in Ultimate Team. Enough is enough.
Did almost the same, i stopped playing UT and took a break since last week. I ll definitely play it again since i love football but career mode it will be like the good old days, UT is just unbearable.
I uninstalled it back in October and have been feeling better. I regret buying this game, well my girl bought it for me but yeah. Last good fifa was fifa 18

Sometimes when you experiencing bad gameplay your opponent is having good gameplay , bad gameplay doesn't apply for both at the same time which is crazy , sometimes your player are slow and unresponsive and your opponent team is moving like prime Barcelona 😂 this shit happens all the time , it's so frustrating

do you focus on trying to acquire players that have high pace and agility, if not your opponents might be and that’s the reason they’re burning your players, not because they’re unresponsive

It is called momentum. Once they remove that from the game only then you can enjoy a game of football. But I doubt it because it’s been in the game since the beginning.

The whole EA dev team is incompetent. The Frostbite engine is holding the game back. This game can never be fixed.
I knew frostbite and hyper motion are the cancer of this game today. Despite having a ps5, I've stuck with the ps4 version of the game and it is a 1000 times better in both gameplay and visual appeal.

Passing seems to be getting worse. I need dribble my way through which is "realistic" but really stupid at the same time.
Passing has gone downhill so much the past couple of fifas. Go back to fifa 22 and see how great the passing is compared to now
Passing for me is amazing, I'm using a 83 celtic evo mcgregor with 4/5 passing playstyles and can say its a skill issue 😂
The fact that EA has never acknowledged it over all these years just shows that it's intentional. It is intentional to make you feel like your players are insufficient, so you go buy and open more packs.

The reason why a lot of people don't experience inconsistent gameplay is, because 10-30% of all created accounts are, for the lack of a better term, unlocked. It's similar to alpha accounts, the only difference is that alpha accounts have unlimited amount of coins and points. EA literally wants their customers to feel as confused as possible. One example I can give you, when you're talking to their customer support about having inconsistent gameplay, lags and so on, they will always tell you "Oh, have you checked your internet connection, or are you using lan cable or wireless?" They will always blame you, your internet connection/provider, literally anything, confusing you even further. They have never addressed the issues with inconsistent gameplay, because it is a mechanic that EA has intentionally built in to confuse the players. They hate self confident non-pro (casual) players. Balls that go through body parts, like through the leg, feet, etc. is also a mechanic, intentionally implemented into the game. One of the chief designers admitted that two or three years ago. Have you ever experienced jitter during a match? I bet you have. The jitter effect occurs when the dynamic difficulty algorithm has been "activated". Perks, playstyles, archetypes, is part of the DDA's implemented into the game and EA doesn't even hide it anymore. Compare the source code that was leaked a few years ago, with the descriptions of each playstyle. Momentum and some playstyles, the only difference is momentum is a hidden DDA and playstyle is not. I could go on and on, but that's enough for now 😅😉
For a 5 day time period, around 2 weeks ago, the gameplay felt great, everything was so fluid and responsive. But since that period ended, the gameplay has been HORRIBLE. It’s so sad man. I would gladly spend money on the game if the gameplay were enjoyable, but unfortunately it’s just not enjoyable whatsoever.

Personally it's the opposite for me, a few weeks ago before the patch I couldn't compete due to the 71 depth. But now the game is actually playable

I remember back in fifa 17 when inception FC got some traction behind this he was told he was crazy and CZcamsrs such as Nepenthez and AJ3 said that “it’s all in your head”. It quite literally isn’t, I knew I wasn’t going mad when some days my players felt like trucks and some days I could actually move them. This is from someone who just went 19-1 in ea FC champs, and inconsistent gameplay drives me insane.

I can’t believe people even argue there is no DDA. Just look at how your players behave when you have a good lead, they COMPLETELY stop moving. The amount of last minute goals I’ve conceded in this Fifa alone are more than every Fifa I’ve played before COMBINED. And I’ve been playing since Fifa 11
DDA is simply a term which all comes back to referring to inconsistency due to bad net coding. If you say there is no DDA then clearly you dont play the game because if EA is consistent at anything; its being inconsistent

DDA is a myth lmao. the guy literally explained it in this video, its all due to the netcode and imported animations from old engines. they literal gave the game code for people to confirm 2 years ago, and they found nothing...

This deserves so much more views I’ve never struggled to enjoy a fifa as much as this one even in the worst ones I’ve found ways to play nice attacking football but this year it’s a roll of a dice weather I can play good or not it’s completely out of my control
This happens in career mode too, and it's crazy. There's a clear difference between playing at night than day. At night, like if your team are full of vampires they'll become light and responsive, you'll feel your whole team playing correctly; and dureing the day of course, everyone will feel awful

Funny you mention CAREER MODE for this. On Legendary outside Career mode the game is balanced. But in Career Mode Legendary difficulty is RIDICULOUS. The AI is Super Human. Your players dont run, stuck in mud, slow, NPCs, etc. Its that bad.
And Seasons. First Fifa in which I cannot get remotely close to Divison 3 let alone 1 and 2. Uninstall and requested a refund 2 weeks ago.
Frustration is central to the business model. Has someone tested player performance consistency over time? Notice how good your cards are when first purchased? You can’t miss. See how they drop off? An empirical study would be useful.
Yeah that's true. I too notice that new cards feel good at first and become bad over time. I too know there are power curve but this is "card performance" in general we talk about.

@@paulvhs yes you just outlined the revenue model. Degrade cards so you spend money to *potentially* upgrade them on a crap game that will screw you over in multiple ways. The solution, “invest” in another type of card, which is another lottery.
What’s absolutely insane is this thing isn’t connection related, it’s net code and coding so deep within the game I don’t think they even know how to fix it
Im an older gamer and have had the misfortune of playing Fifa since 08.
I can tell you that the game changed around fifa 13 and got progressively worse.
Most times the result is determined, im sure you have all had it when you batter someone only for thier AI defenders to block shots, keepers save everything and your passes and shots seem delayed.
Only for your opponent to hump a hopeful ball long which your defender has covered but inexplicably he slows down and his player nicks the ball to score in the 89th minute.
And i recognise (unlike toxic players) when its in my favour too.
A lot of the bad and inconsistent gameplay and bs is there to aid lesser players win more games against the better player in order to maintain their interest in the game.
Ea is only interested in increasing revenue and intentionally manipulate gameplay, nothing will change until they are challenged (as they were back in the pro evo 6 days) by a football game that lowers their gamer base.

So for me aswell I started seeing alot of thing's wrong with fifa ever since fifa 13 aswell, remember that slogan they used for that game "feel the game" yeah always makes me laugh that because that was literally the downfall of fifa as a whole.
The inconsistent gameplay is 1000% a thing people can deny it but its there and its the main reason I just stopped playing completely.
3 years I think now without playing any fifa and it's great, I still remember getting banned from the ea forums 2 times because the brain dead idiots on there couldn't handle the truth 💀

I predicted the downfall of the Fifa series after they FORCED MANUAL defending. AKA TACTICAL DEFENDING in FIfa 12. They didn't implement this new manual defending. They forced all players to use it Online. And this was the beginning of the end. Why ? Because they never FORCED MANUAL attacking. AKA MANUAL passing. MANUAL shooting. MANUAL crossing, etc.....
This is why the Gameplay got worse and worse thru the years. You can't have MANUAL defending with AUTO attacking controls. This is the key reason why the Game is AWFUL now. But nobody wants to hear it. Especially all the FUT players.
I got the feeling that sometimes ea thinks my opponent needs the win so they let my players move like trucks and my defenders move wrong ways and selecting the wrong players
Imagine being able to only play during the early hours of the morning or late at night to get the best possible gameplay experience. And holy shit never play at 6pm content.
Why do people not talk abt it? Why do Pros keep mum abt it? They keep talking abt content, SBCs, 71 depth and other stuff bit ignore this fundamental issue. This has been the main reason behind player frustration in this game. Wait, no, there is one thing that is even more infuriating - that is when someone tells you it is a skill issue
Pros play on their own specific server, one of them messed up and he had a separate menu on fifa where he could literally choose his server he connected to. The list was Amsterdam, France, Germans, London and Irish servers. When people mentioned it he refused to comment about it. In a nutshell pros/content creators don’t play on generic servers hence why their gameplay is amazing most of the time and they can cook 20-0 with relative ease

One more BIG issue you forgot to mention is invisible shild around ball or around opponent attackers , when ea decides you get bad gameplay . It's so frustrating sometimes, I have videos of that ,where my defender run around the opponent lost ball feels like ea forcing away from it.

The biggest problem with EA is that they manipulate the game play to get you to go to the FIFA/FC points menu to get better game play.

The only thing that will get EA to lift their game is competition in the football space. They have a monopoly at the moment so will do the bare minimum.
It's the poor Netcode FIFA has been built on for decades. They wont bother to sort it out bc the vast majority of players either wont ever notice the difference, will blame things like DDA and scripting regardless or dont stay playing the game online for long enough to realise. EA truly are the worst company around
DDA is said due to the inconsistant gameplay. When you lose a game because the ball rolls past your clueless defender because of netcode issues, you say DDA and you were meant to lose etc. If EA fixed it then there is no more DDA...

attacking AI movement in fc24 right now is probably the worst it has ever been...
I confirm it's not a net issue: I've stopped playing online because of these inconsistencies and I have the same issues in kick offs (worse: there's a nearly 1 sec delay after your sprint input which I didn't see in any other modes). (FIFA 23 tho, I'm not buying a new game until inconsistency is fixed).

Once in a while, my players with left stick dribbling are just stuck. I input the same commands and sensitivity on the stick and I am quite used to it. 15 wins player btw
The actual biggest problem is that community don't talk about this at all. I wonder if 90% people even notice this and they are gonna "skill issue" you.
The biggest problem is that footballers are selfish morons that love winning. They'll never admit they were being helped and so the cycle continues.
Inconsistent gameplay is probably the reason for my enjoyment of FIFA is also inconsistent. Nice video, I've never seen someone go so in-depth about this issue.

I have been losing my mind over this stuff for too long and barely heard anyone ranting about it even though we should do that we paid 80$+ for a game that's not really polished and that's a disgrace. we are now 3 months in and this problem still has not been worked on. Been battling this since Fifa 19 and i feel it gets worse and worse :(
I'm sure morale is still in the game. After a few games of rivals, i go into squad battles and smash the AI for a few games making sure all players get a 8+ rating. then my players feel good again in rivals... No cap 👍🏾
Is this manager? Or multiplayer game 🎮? That should not have affect or even exist in game but probably you are right it exists, but more of that is scripting, DDA and I hope EA developers who made this year's edition bankrupt or even worse.
@@liqzEy. Squad battles. I know thst this shouldn't be in the game but morale was in the game back in fifa 09-17 and it's still using the same core code... So it still probably exists.

Fifa players deserve this gameplay until the day they learn it's a bad idea to fork out 80$ for a broken game where half of the things barely (or not at all) works.

we def deserve the gameplay that we payed for since day one i dont know about you but back in like fifa 09, 10,and 11 wher you have this never crossed our minds as an issue cause everything just seemed fine and beautifully playable on an old xbox 360 and lcd tv, but this started to happen to me mid 2013 and i still buy the game every year like an idiot lol. These ppl at ea clearly did something maybe they didnt like toxic players or something and listen in to game chat i dont know, because those days cherping ppl was on a diff level coming through their tvs im guilty of that to. it comes down to its unexplainable on our end but i know they know something up with it they just dont want to fix the issue unless its literally them causing and putting out this issue to certain accounts

FIFA is insanely over animated. It’s been their main selling point for ages but it actually makes the game almost unplayable.

And I only play offline to have fun in my career, or at least I try even though I uninstalled the game yesterday.
What you call Tippy taps are a shame probably due to this new hyper motion with all 11,000 recorded animations. It very often happens that players touch the ball with little force and it remains not in front of their feet but in the middle, slowing down any movement or play you want to make.
Normally the management of the space between the players and the ball they are controlling with their feet is something that should happen, largely automatically, with this new motion system it often happens that contact, control, direction of the ball, the speed with which this happens and the space needed for each player to move naturally with the ball is never right, natural or up to the task and players often end up having to make extra touches to try to follow your commands and also correct inadequate contact with the ball, terribly slowing down your idea of the game.
Hyper motion has messed up the gameplay so much that even making a tackle is a miracle, with the fact that it happens a billion times that you want to take the ball away from an opponent or make a foul with a standing tackle and see the joints of your player deforming and flexing on the opponent's legs, registering a "sliding" of the body segments over each other without any effective blow that causes a fall, a tackle, a foul.
Thanks for talking about the missing inputs during the switch. You're one of the few who actually talks about the REAL problems with this game. Maybe thanks to the fact that we are talking about tangible problems, this game will have time to become decent before the release of EA FC 25, although I doubt it. EA will certainly already be working on next year's game

I don't know if it's part of the inconsistency stuff but I also had this issue on FIFA23 when going for an air ball/duel, the game decides which of my player is going for it and there's no way to switch it (I use manual player selection ofc). Sometimes it even selects a player which doesn't seem to be the nearest. It looks like the game already considers that the player is possessing the ball because when I use the RS+LS switch, it goes into locked player mode.
OMG, and here i thought i'm schizophrenic because i swear to god sometime everything in this game just doesn't make any sense
The shooting mechanic and it’s inconsistency drives me nuts.. because it kills my chance of a green timed shot as I always hit it too early when the player decides he has 2 left feet

I love how every fifa is always great for the first week or so and actually feels different from the last until they release the first patch and then it all feels the same again
My biggest issue is goalkeepers and goalkeeping. Why are goalkeepers allergic to the ball this game?

Ea loves adding sh!t mechanics like player error which feels like its at 70%
Playing single player there rarely any lag, but the moment I play online, rivals friendlies or champions the connection deteriorates. And the button lag is detrimental to the gameplay and momentum at certain moments of the game.
I can tell when this happens and the gameplay becomes fluid. When gameplay is good in my favor I'm like "oh shit, the game wants me to score, it wants me to score", and I often times do! You cant make this stuff up..
this seems to be an issue with the insane amount of animations in the game, theese "tippy taps" are the game trying to line your player up with the correct animation, which is so annoying
I can’t even play the game because every time there is a free kick / goal or corner, my game’s brightness bugs out. Happens in career mode and online.

Does anyone know why the speed of the gameplay in the evening changes to 100mph on career mode. I always play SLOW PACED. I’ve tried customising sliders but when I bring the sprint speed down it doesn’t make a difference what so ever. Then in the following morning it’s back to normal???
Inconsistent gameplay is so worst. Also the DDA when game decides to help ur opponent to comeback in a game when you have dominated him and scored 2, 3 goals. Suddenly gameplay becomes shite.
i got consistent 18-2 (rank 2) the last three weekend leagues before this one. However, the delay in this wl was so bad i could not even defend and was helpless against players i usually beat. Long story short… gave away most of my games and got 11-9

THIS STARTED IN FIFA 19!!!! FIFA 18 was the last good gameplay where the dribbling, passing and shot animations made sense, FIFA 21 IS WHERE THEY COMPLETELY TOOK IT FROM 1-100%!!!

This started in FIFA 13 actually. That was the game where they introduced “bad touches” and then things exploded from there.
actually its the hypermotion that's affecting the responsiveness of the game, at this point fifa don't dare touch the net code because of big and messy its gotten however they add in new code to try and integrate the new stuff with the old stuff, if they tried to actually fix the core issues with the gameplay that would mean going back to the old code, which is the entire backbone of this whole game, sadly no one knows how long doin that would take and worst case scenario would end up with them having to throw away the old outdated code and rewriting the intire game, which in my opinion is kind of a tall order. My conclusion here is that gameplay will continue getting worse not until people stop buying and playing the game

Regarding the completely ignored or missed inputs, I simply can’t ever shoot first time, my player will always take a touch even when the keeper or a defender is closing in fast. The game always ignores me pressing the shot button to shoot first time to force the player into taking a touch instead. Super frustrating.
I ve got so much experience with this... i know from the menus when i have bad gameplay...the menus are heavy too...its from the aervers i think...

Switching in this game is honestly a problem, especially when I trying receive a header but the game does not even switch or let me switch to another player that is closer.
I genuinely believe that this is real. It feels like some games I am constantly getting fouled and not a single one is called because the entire other team has 999 physical. Other games the other team has is trash. It makes no sense and has honestly made this game even less fun than it already is

I noticed from the jump p how player switches is atrocious in this game. Every time I try switching to a defender to hopefully stop the attacker, it freezes my defender for a second and the defender next moves a bit and is stunted so in the end my opponents striker just breezes by my defender.

It’s like playing call of duty and your gun only doing damage sometimes or reloading will put bullets in the gun 30% of the time. It’s insulting.

Skill move cancel is one of the worst things to me , it barely ever registers for me . A lot of times my skill move don’t register or it’s the wrong one .. sometimes the skill move (rainbow flick) has crazy error when I’m not even under pressure

8:07 Squad battles clip is a prime example that its not the connection, its EA's crap game.
If you like playing tiki taka/possession/passing style game, this game is not for you. It has not been for a while. At the end of the day, if you have the right players who are fast and can shoot well and you set the right tactics, you can sprint away to victory.
This is my problem, i play possession and tiki taka and it’s absolute annoying that my players with the incisive passing playstyle can’t make a 5 yard pass to my player who are unmarked
@@Oregeja-cu7em exactly. And even if you do make a good pass forward, somehow the opponents track back on time without experiencing any form of fatigue. Some times I wonder if they move faster than the ball lol.

i also notice when gameplay is bad my players stamina is less then half going into the second half and by the end of the match they have no stamina

I've deleted the game because of this. I've been playing football video games since 1991 (yes, I'm old) and I've never been this frustrated when playing online.
I might return to FC24 and just play career mode. Off-line game play is actually decent.
EA all saw this coming but they know how much effort it takes to fix... They just hope we dont break the game as much for the next 9 months
For some reason it’s like I hit certain thresholds in champs or rivals. I find it hard to believe that as soon as I go up a division everyone is all of a sudden way better than me. I’m not he best but defo not bad usually on Fifa, however going from 11/14 w last year to 2/6 wins this year and also it would be about 1/30 games at most where it was impossible to get a single chance in 90 Mins. I have a huge sample size in the amount of games too. all I will say is before I could recognise better players and my team was bad but decent and would beat a full gold team. Now I always feel cheated when I lose and feel I have cheated someone when I win. My team this year is pretty good too
I can feel you. I was elite in fifa 23, usually got 11-14 wins with ease. But then in ea fc I am struggling to just get 9 wins and stuck in division 5. It's hilarious 🤣
I can be stuck in say div 6, then promote to div 5 only to sail through and find the higher div actually easier.
Its laughable though how many times you play that final game for promotion only to get that inconsistent gameplay or come up against a guy who is a Fifa* god for some reason in div 6.

I don't like the term inconsistent gameplay. It overshadowed the real issue. The DDA is what causing rhe problem. We experienced the same playing offline.
Along with the sluggish slow dribbling the worst thing is the defender animation where the defender runs away from a potential threat when you are trying to switch defenders and your opponent gets in to score it feels cheap or seeing the spaces the attacker is trying to get to but your defenders just can’t get there in time and when they do they lunge in and miss even when you time your tackle creating more space for your opponent or better yet the ball bounces everywhere until it falls for an attacker for an easy tap in I could go on forever!
I also know when I’m shooting outside the box finesse shots, the tippy taps start to ruin my green time. I’ve never seen passing this bad in all of fifa.
very true about the shooting, i was about to score an absolute banger of a goal from half a yard his goalkeeper was out of the box the shooting amination takes wayy to long and the gk got the chance to recover and save

Guys I’m not frustrated or anything since I completed mbappe yesterday and my team is good and I had a good performance in champs but damn I played a few rivals games and it was literally impossible to win even tho my opponents were all either worse or at the same level as me… and I felt exactly what he described in this video
the game on pc is full of performance problems everytime i enter the store or the sbc the game freezes and i should restart it
THANK YOU. Heavy gameplay is the number one culprit. It makes you want to stop playing the game altogether. I could live with not having R9 or some other top player than have R9 and during the the game, he feels like a truck. All those stats at that point will mean nothing. EA forgets that most of us just eant to have a good time, and that becomes impossible to accomplish with this broken gameplay.
