So glad I stopped playing this shit in Feb, find it funny that if there's something wrong with the store or packs they fix it instantly, yet if there's something broken about gameplay they just leave it

Holy shit, I thought that was just me, The night before yesterday I was on a winning streak keeping clean sheets or only conceding 1 or at max 2, then yesterday night, I'm doing the same shit and I keep conceding 6-7 goals, I put tactics to drop back since I was conceding on the counter and still my CB's would push themselves to beyond half line, This game is fucking ridiculous and I'm glad to find out this this happen to only me.

Hate to break it to all of you but Fifa is never going to fix their problems. The reason is to maintain extreme dopamine levels. For example, when you go through a “losing streak” you want to see if eventually you’ll win, if you go through a “winning streak” you gamble to see if you can win more. This is to keep players in the game and spend money. It’s scripted

Not true, maybe the triple A, online multiplayer, yearly cycle industry is, but there are loads of great games that arent that.

The biggest issue we have as football fans and football game players right now is this... There's no competition. Until there is competition, and I mean real competition, not eFootball competition, we won't see EA make any drastic changes because the truth is, they don't care. They know people will come back every year because there is literally nothing else.
All games have been stagnant since there are no competitions. NHL, MADDEN, NBA LIVE, UFC, even EA SPORTS F1 since F1 22 and LoveLive Rhythm game series on SCHOOL IDOL FESTIVAL 2 MIRACLE LIVE are some of the examples of game being stagnant.

Agreed, EA have a monopoly over sports games. They have the rights to basically every sports person and organisation, and people wanna play as their favourite players/teams. I stopped buying fifa after fifa 22 and downloaded fc24 for free and wow is it awful.
This guy is such a voice of truth. Like I've never seen in this BS community. I grew up on FIFA 14, 15, 16 and found my prime in 17 when the game was its BEST... FIFA was always filled with some issues, but it was good. I was always miles ahead of all my friends and my community in FIFA, using ball knowledge, unique and creative technique and ACTUAL football to win. But the game has gone into a Meta haven and I completely spiraled. I have a deep HATE for a game that requires meta to win, that lives on being cheesy. I rather play my football and lose. And that's what I did, my friends would say "I fell off" whilst they just spam and abuse stupid metas every single game. No one seemed to understand that this is a meta simulator with LITERALLY at least 20 issues every game. This game rewards BS, and punishes good football- what? To hell with this game & this company, stopped years now, not worth my time. I would give anything for good gameplay back.

Fifa 17 and the introduction of weekend League was actually the Start of the downfall EVENTHO the gameplay was great there
Especially the attacking AI is basically dead without a million different custom tactics loaded into the players and you also have to MANUALLY send players to make a run while worrying about the million defenders that are purely just AI.
It's possible to beat the defending AI, but you have to play a specific 'META' way. But really is there even a point to the football in a football game? Might as well call yourself a robot.

I haven’t played Ultimate team for years, it’s a scam.
I only play Pro Clubs and this is a manipulated mess. You can feel the scripting dynamic difficult assist helping each team aggressively. Sometimes you’re on the good side of it and all the AI players make great passes, actually tackle, make up runs and the keeper does their job. Our players feel quicker, strong and more responsive.
Then you’re on the wrong side and you can feel it happening, your players become sluggish, slow, weak and at time button inputs are ignore entirely. The AI can’t or won’t pass, they allow they play the opponent onside and refuse the tackle, in some occasions they actually move away from the ball to allow the opponent to gain or retain the ball.
It’s a joke and frustrating. We continue to play because there is no other competition on the market currently.
EA need to remove the scripting and allow us to play the game.

Words can't describe how much I hate the gameplay in this game. It's so bad that it made me pull the copy of PES 2021 I bought on a whim on clearance from Amazon for €10 three years back and play it for the first time and the gameplay is superior in every way. How does FIFA go from FIFA 15 to what it is now? How has it regressed with time? The FC in FC 24 might as well stand for Fucking Crap at this point as that's exactly what this game is.

In my opinion, trying to salvage something like Ultimate Team is lunacy. It's the original sin and there is nothing that can be done to unrotten something that is rotten to the core. Pay to win is an abomination.

Totally I think fifa 17 for example was nice if it had gone after in the right direction we could have now a great game but they went the road of the money only making kids happy which invest with parents credit cards

Going back to games like Fifa 12,13 and 14 feels like taking a gigantic leap in terms of gameplay enjoyment and quality. If those game had LAN or P2P servers I'm 100% convinced people would still be playing them.
Even FIFA 06 PS2 and FIFA 07 GBA are way more fun to play unlike FIFA 18 to FC 24.

I remember back in the day searching for silver beasts on CZcams, buying them and actually winning in division 1 with a Brasilver team or something fun. Even against people using "Meta" premier league teams back then.

Good times man, started with 13 and played religiously until 17… 18 started falling off I took a 3 or 4 year break and it was good again but now It’ll never be the same. Gone too far

Stop giving EA money?
I used to play a lot of FIFA back in the day. Had 500 hours of playing time back in fifa 16 and 17. Stopped playing after 18. Now I saw that the game is free to play on PlayStation. Played it on career mode and noticed how broken it is. Defending became so shit and the momentum side of it is very noticeable. You score and all of the sudden the AI goes into god mode, while the players you don’t control just do what they want.

If ea actually cared about the competitive scene
1.the scene would be accessible as possible, not locked behind a paywall(cards)
The format would use 2v2, 2 people controlling 11 players would require more skill than 1 player controlling 11 players, there would actually be a skill gap if the competitive scene consisted of teams of 2.
2 v 2 would be horrible and would sure as hell not work. Can you imagine the toxicity of your team mates, how many people would never pass to you and would just hog the ball. Also there is obviously a huge skill gap even now. Some people struggle to get Rank V while some people get Rank I without even trying that hard.

I think so many of us are going to be 150+ yearly hours regardless of how bad the game is… just go play pro clubs or online seasons instead… just boycott ultimate team
I stopped fut on fifa 19 because I was just not able to accept the scripting anymore and the terrible gameplays since then I was on pro clubs played so many games but this year I can’t even play pro clubs anymore it also just sucks way to much
I was a sweater back in time (FIFA 2013-2018), but it was also much fun - then I stopped until 2020 and now I just play casual. No more rage, no weekend league, just rivals, 7 wins and play for fun. I'm still in Div2, what is okay for me, but I don't want that toxic/rage stuff again. The gameplay changes every time and EA let the player win, who they want to win - when you accept this, you still can have fun. I never bought FIFA points btw, just to players picks and dupe exchanges, where I got a ton of good/solid players. I don't think EA will fix this mess in the future, but since I love football and there are no other games/gamemodes like this, I will stuck with FIFA / EA FC.

This game is only running down the line , corner glitch, bounceback and cutback simulator, no skill required, there is no space in middle
I remember when TOTS first came out on FC Mobile, the same UTOTS glitch for exchanges that happened last year repeated itself. 15 mins later, the exchange tab was gone (I missed it). And what did EA do in response to all the backlash on reddit? Give players a free 90-99 OVR TOTS pack. So what EA is saying is the compensation rewards vary in RNG so it's not even fair for anyone.
The copensation ea gave last year was reasonable but this year it wasnt fair i was lucky to get 95 card from it but it should have been a free 96-99 ovr player and fc mobile has a seperate currency for packs in the form of gems which are easy to obtain and the power curve is reasonable this year and there are also better events in mobile than 24. many people should switch over to mobile for the f2p players.

Just so terrible this game, have getting worst year after year skill gap is soooo small in this game, fifa pro players only better in this game because they get directly the super cards and can play for months with these cards and then are ahead of the other people in terms of experience with these players, since most of people only getting them more to the end of fifa.

EA24 and Efootball both suffer from the same problem. They are no longer trying to make authentic realistic fun football games. It’s all mass marketing card selling centred and the gameplay is an afterthought
I downloaded the trial before purchasing it and I’m so glad I did. I saved myself from spending $70 on a garbage game. FIFA 23 isn’t perfect but it better and I just decided to play that instead

I’ve played FIFA since FIFA 98 (I’m 32 now) and I loved FIFA 23, but I got very tired of the gambling issues and the lack of decent players out of packs. In all of my years playing the game, I only ever packed 1 player worth 1mil+ which was TOTY VVD. I decided to boycott EAFC 24 and I’ve not regretted it once, I’ve been really into single player games this last year and this video has just reinforced my decision. One additional thing - weekend league used to make me so grumpy if I didn’t get 14 wins and I really don’t miss that!
Even career mode is awful to play sometimes. they only care about the cash they could get...
Of course career mode isnt beeing improved because it doesnt make them money :/ i mean they literally added one single new feature to that mode and it didnt even work properly on release😂 also the straight up copy pasted this mode for the past 4 years because theres still the exact same bugs like there was in career mode fifa 20

The worst thing for me is the insane DDA in every match. You can tell when your about to concede a goal and what your opponent about to do because they all play like bots and just score cut backs but you cant do anything to defend, the ball will just bounce out of 2 or 3 players and then the goalkeeper will just let the ball in. This game is broken
Still don't understand, what the fun from grinding for a digital cards? I try FUT and never enjoy it. Play online only for seasons or regular friendly.

Seasons are horrible and there are no stakes. There is a reason UT is the only mode that makes EA any money, it’s competitive. People love competitiveness. Also you can’t play seasons with Ronaldinho or the og Ronaldo. Not defending this horrible game but UT is the only mode in it that has potential to be fun.

I enjoy competitive game but only for fighting games, because its pure skill based (1 vs 1, no mistake/help from AI) and has better character/players balancing than any football games (its impossible to win football game with 65 rated team vs 95 rated team, where in fighting game you don't need to use high tier characters to be competitive).
Note: its back on personal taste to play which games. Where I personally, can't enjoy football games on competitive scene.
Ima be honest, the algorithm brought me back to the FIFA corner of CZcams with this video after like 5 years. I quit back in 2018ish, haven’t looked back, haven’t given EA money since. That’s what it’s gonna take to fix this game. It’s been this way since FUT was introduced and will continue as long as they keep making money off packs. I was hoping to see videos saying FIFA has gotten better but, seems like nothing has changed…
One thing I always found annoying was how fast your defenders were when they were running away from the ball and how slow they are when running towards it. It’s like the game has already chosen a player that must get the ball and it’s impossible for any other player to get it, especially when it’s rolling out of possession
EA needs to do what 2k games did with WWE, when 2k released WWE2k20 it was so bad it was labelled the worst fighting game of all time, then 2k didn’t release WWE2k21 and instead spent an extra year to make sure that the next game would be perfect, and of course it wasn’t, nothing’s perfect, but WWE2k22 was a much better game than WWE2k20 with less glitches, better gameplay, and more game modes, so this is what EA should do.

They have blatantly been manipulating pack weight at the beginning of promos to generate interest and then dropping the rates behind the scenes all year. They just got caught twice tuning it too far with the TOTS and TOTY messes.

The manipulation is so blatant this time around than it has been on previous releases. Everything is designed to push people towards the store and make them part with their cash. Pretty sickening when you think about it when gambling is such a concerning issue and then you have impressionable young kids being tempted. EA should show more responsibility.

Good video but why is no one talking about the menu glitch’s? Literally everyday I play it i just get a menu which freezes, sometimes I go into squad it freezes, or when I go to select a kit it freezes and if I search a player through the market it freezes

I bought fifa 23 near the end of its game cycle. Played 1 season of career mode and haven’t played it since. Didn’t buy FC24 and it marks the end of the streak of buying every fifa from 16-23. It kept getting worse after fifa 17 and none of us noticed until now
I played a match last night, was winning 3-0. Dominant both attacking and defensively. However, in the 85th minute, my defense decided to stop getting the ball when i tackled, leading to them equalizing in the last minute (with who else? TOTS Saint-Max). I am so fucking done with this shit game.

There is nothing good about EA studios, least of all sports. I remember playing NCAA football as a kid and I cannot tell you how concerned I am for the return of it. I’ll be skipping FC25 as well, I’d get more value just burning my money than giving it to EA anymore
NCAA 25 has me cautious too. I want it to be so good (i won't be playing ultimate team so that will help), but with EA making it, i'm waiting for the reviews first
Lmao the literal same thing happened in EAFC Mobile where packs were stat full of hallands and Pat Vieras and whatnot and then they fixed it so that the ones who missed it could go cry in the corner
I only bought this fifa for women in ultimate team. I’m a big fan of women’s football, regularly going to WSL matches. I was amazed how many people will go out their way to almost kill any female player on the pitch I use and how many quit when a woman scores. The toxic community plus the many bugs and awful gameplay led me to quit back in December. I picked up FM24 in January and haven’t looked back
Can someone call out EA for not updating the draft rewards since FIFA 16 while the prices of players drop significantly throughout the last 8 years? 75% of the times a player wins the draft, they get 2 rare gold packs and 2 gold packs. This has been the case since FIFA 16. The thing is that then, when you packed a 87 rated player you would make at least 100k. Now if you pack a 87 rated player you do not even make your 15k back. It is impossible to make profit from winning a draft!
Also on the mechanics that benefit people who abuse them. Tackle spamming is the worst culprit! Some players tackle over 100 times per game and it actually works as even if they don't win the ball they either made your player fall or give wrong passes. Whey EA does not put an stamina penalty if you press tackle multiple times?
With 2K now getting a FIFA licence, the casino part of Ultimate Team will be nothing in comparison. Just look at the extreme monetisation of NBA 2K.
Good thing I dropped fifa after 21... Got FC24 a few weeks ago and I'm only playing career mode. Haven't touched UT at all. Having a blast like never before.

The only way ea will make FIFA better is that every FIFA fan needs to not buy or pre-order the next game and do stop buying packs that way ea will see a massive drop in sales and revenue forcing them to listen to us.
Stopped playing during FIFA 19. EA is predatory and greedy whilst making a terrible product. Yet, for some reason, FIFA (or EAFC now) fans have this insane brand loyalty to this franchise that only serves to work against them. I had some great childhood memories playing FIFA 04 to FIFA 09. I hope for a return to better days or for a deserving competitor to take over

I agree with you and your opinion, that we as the community shouldn´t buy FC25, but this year my club, Holstein Kiel, got promoted to the Bundesliga and I just want to play with these players in career, UT, etc. as an club of the best german football league...

I just can't do this anymore. Only thing that kept me going forward was the hope of EA fixing the game, but I just realized that they don't care about fixing it. Every goal I made or made against me just felt scripted. There are other games I can play.
I stopped playing FIFA effectively with FIFA 20. Then I switched to PES and singleplayer games and I don’t see myself switching to FIFA anytime soon. It’s been one of the best decisions ever and I feel like I’m getting quality again for my money. Obviously I don’t play efootball, but pes 2021 has option files and with mods is easily the best football game ever.
I remember it was a kind of big deal to football fans when new FIFA game drop many would buy it day one but at one point it was "I'll wait for Amazon price drop" or "I'll wait for black friday" now it "i would play it if it drops on PS Plus" i don't know what the knack EA has ruined their popular games rather than make it better than it was

Ive been playing fifa since I was maybe 5 so atleast 2 decades and this is the first year I completely uninstall and I have not reinstalled it and that was 6 months ago. Out of my xbox library of about 25 games the only ones I got angry playing were fifa and call of Duty, I tried to play a fromsoft game, and I realised how much time and money I waste on a game that the developers themselves clearly hate too, I'm genuinely a happier person, and if I want that football fix I play an old fifa career mode shits so fun
Been playing since 94 and I’m almost 40 now. This has been the absulute worst fifa experience ever. The people who make this game are simple changing the face but they arnt true developers and the gameplay is completely broken and the idea of having players is better than actually playing with them.
I was trying to complete the infinite repeatable 82+ player pick to pack a TOTS using exchanges as well. But apparently they have a soft ban on completing too many SBC's? Like why am I banned from literally completing a repeatable SBC, the whole point is that it is repeatable?

Dude… this game is insanely fucked up. Never gonna buy this piece of garbage again. Came back after 10 years, played and suffered for 80hrs to realize this is completely insanity.
The gaming community has never been worse. And I have a theory. With the impending, crushing reality of our individual countries economies killing the concept of the middle class, people are deeply invested in their games because they have nothing else. It's their entire thing to cling to, not because they aren't capable of doing something else but because the ability to even try new things is barely viable. We are in an epidemic of lacking purpose. And it is subsequently leaking into our hobbies and pastimes.

towards the end of fifa 18, i had had enough. also around this time, I discovered this game called stardew valley. that singular game in a genre I didn't even think i'd enjoy dragged me out of the trenches and made me realise how truly awful FIFA is. If I go back, its just for the career mode (which I barely do now I've gotten into fm).
I cannot emphasise enough how much just playing literally any other game is a good idea. you're welcome to still play FIFA, but expand out of the yearly releases that never change and never will until you hit them where it hurts (money)
I stopped playing FIFA back in November and it was the best decision of my life. My weekends are much better now and I don't intend on going back to the game until they actually make a new game from scratch without all the bugs, glitches and scripting BS. They are already advertising advanced AI for FC25 and I am a 100% sure it is going to be the exact same AI we have had over the last few years.
I stopped playing UT 3 months in, I still play Clubs with the boys because it's the only enjoyment there is to squeeze out of this corpse of a game and even then it can be soul crushing watching your LB track the winger to the corner flag while the ball is still in the other half.
Are these in game bugs just in UT?. Only asking cause i don't play UT so my experience with FC24 is career mode and haven't come across any glitches.
The servers, corporate greed and the meta slave gameplay really have made this game awful

What should i pick between fifa 23 22 21 ?
As a pro clubs only player, I absolutely hate this game. The gameplay is as bad as fifa 20s. The worst part about pro clubs in the game is the AI. The AI have a ridiculous spectrum where they're impossible to get past, or they're literal traffic cones. It makes it nigh impossible to do anything as a winger or CAM as the only way to get past them is to abuse controlled dribbling by the byline and pace abuse and even then that hardly works because they'll somehow speed up and catch you afterwards.
I don't know if it is me but whenever I play the game my AI defense sucks. They're never in the right positions, they hardly ever make a tackle and they always somehow manage to plsy the attacker on by not having defensive structure.
I won't even bother speaking on scripting because we all already know that exists. In fact no let's talk about scripting. Why is it that in one game there's always one player who's stats get severely nerfed? It's like in every game one of my teammates or me gets our attributes severely nerfed meaning the same passes we were making don't work or that we cannot score open goals?
I hate how maxing out your dribbling gives you no benefits, I hate the first touches you get in the game, I hate how useless some of the gold perks are, I hate how making a taller play immediately means you can't dribble, I hate the kick off glitch, I hate the goalkeeper animations, I hate how inconsistent the passing is and most of all I hate how the AI cannot make a simple pass or must pass you the ball when you are under eons of pressure.
Every year they promise new and better things and every year I still buy this trash thinking it'll be better but nope, it never is.
I was lucky enough to have the first ever fifa game back in 93 I think....I last bought fifa 11 and ive never played it since....Im 42 now and im saddened at what games have become. If I do ever game again, it will be old school. PS2 or earlier. Maybe Xbox 360. Plenty of content to last me a lifetime.

To be honest, I like EA FC 24 and don't really care about these problems. However, the refs in the game can get very frustrating
I stopped buying the game after FIFA 22, that game was good when compared to 23 and 24. I lost my passion with every single 100 pound store content that was released. I could use IF Ben Yedder in March and decimate my opponents, because I was a better player and refused to pay real money for a stupid game. Now, you have to spend thousands to get the card you want, because the market is empty when it comes to meta players. EA caused this with all the untradeble packs they gave to players. There are no tradeble meta players to put on the market. There are no fun sbc’s and cards anymore. I used Freeze Marquinhos and Flashback Neymar all year. Now try to do that same thing with -90 cards again, you will lose every game. I am incredibly happy that I didn’t buy 23 and 24. There are no time-worthy cards like Van Bergen and Gravenberch anymore
i only play fifa for pro clubs and as a goalkeeper this game has got the worst animations i have ever seen
i play it but dont buy points, not even with the coins I get from the game unless its a 5 coins pack types of deal. I play seasons and online friendlies mostly.
I’m a gamer. Played games for over 20 years. Seen the primes of FIFA, PES, COD, WOW, SF, LOL Fortnite and more. FIFA was always my favourite ‘competitive online game’ nowadays I’m mostly done with online games. COD sbmm ruined it. Efootball dead fifa dead. Moved on.
On the other hand some great games out there to spend more time on but nothing to scratch that I beat you itch fifa used to give me. Closest I got was Tekken 7 but for me I just prefer football to fighting.
Quick one if you only play the big releases/AAA titles you are missing out, I highly recommend Hades and Hollowknight. They are big games now but for those who still haven’t I urge you to give them ago. 2 of the greatest ‘indie’ games to so far.

Listen, I know e-football is harder, but at this point, e-football is wayy better then fifa. It's realistic, and has better motion. And it's completly free. EA is basically capitalizing about the fact that people will come back to fifa / EAFC every year, so they make the worst games ever now.
