Maru can do it all 😎👌🏼 . Cheese, early game snipe, 2 base All-In, Turtle Mech, Triple Prong Drop Bio, or IMMACULATE god-like Late Game. It's magic.

That’s really odd, don’t watch enough religiously to know that but that must be a mind game or something, if Maru intentionally does that because he’s lost games where he leaves them up to raynor then that’s next level
He can also cut off reinforcements if ray or does not stream everything in at once or cover the supply lift
@@simpeljay7710 He does not do it on purpose. Reynor is well known for his runbys. He just does them so often and so well that he makes even the best players look dumb when he inevitably gets through the wall, yet again.
PiG: Maru making Blueflame Helion that can 1-shot Zerling with splash damage, Also PiG: Reynor should do Nydus and get 60 lings into Maru main base, where hes making those Blueflame Helion.
Same energy as reynor making broodlords against 3/3 blue flame hellbats, thors, ghosts and Yamato BCs in game 3

The strategy of end game mining out the farthest bases first is great because it takes away future minerals the opponent could have mined (as pig stated) but ALSO because in the late late game you’d so much rather have minerals left on the closer bases as they’re so much easier to defend. Save your closer bases for last!
When reynor played serral, he looked so sharp at Katowice. He looked sloppy and slow to react in comparison. Almost like he played down to the speed of his opponent as maru turtles, his brain turtles up when it comes to dynamic thinking and tactics
Who makes Nydus Worms and doesn’t fill them up with an army?!! He had wide open opportunities all over the series to destroy infrastructure and end the game
but instead, decided to keep on attacking again and again, the most well defended spot in all of Maru's bases..
@@inmundo6927 it’s like he didn’t take it seriously. He also GGd a couple times when Maru would’ve continued fighting. He had the mineral lead every time. If he had mixed brood lords, banes, and +3 lings and flooded those hellbats and thors that would’ve been game over. Or he could’ve just sent some swarm hosts on a one way trip with a bunch of banes into the main and that’s gg

Nerv mules! For a little bit of energy you can mine 200 minerals - that's too broken. 100 Minerales or more energy to balance that.

Analysis is spot on, and its super easy to get into a rhythmic flow of repetition playing zerg. I been waiting for Dark to pull a mass swarm host, Hydra, infestor army to break Maru. Throwing 25 swarm host worth of locus, then flooding hydra behind them, and then finally the infester orange cloud that reduces 50% incoming damage. Then just back filling with hydra over and over. You can use hydra to defend at home with just a few. You end up not needing a shit ton of Minerals so you can low econ at 60 workers and make mass spine to defend your perimeter bases, and move them out to your expansions. Easier said than done, but its my end game strat with Terran, though I lose to a lot of other stuff trying to get there a lot, im just a 38 year old casual player who is pretty slow diamond player. I cant do all the 50 hot keys and F1-F5 camera snapping around. Just really happy to see Reynor working in the swarm host because I think its not a fleshed out unit to be honest.
There is no reason why he cant have a hatch at every single base while maru is trapped on 4-5 bases. He could afford to have 5x overloads all over the map and 100 spine at the front of Maru's base.
Just finished the first game. Wow, Maru should never had won. amazing.
They need to slow the fire/recharge rate of brood lords, it's too easy to get a critical mass which is impossible to trade against

Maru found the golden terran tactic. It's overall the same build, no matter what the enemy does.

there is good reasons why other terran dont do turtle late game, only Maru Micro Macro and god like decision can do it.
Reynor is a godlike player with regards to aggression and APM, but his late game strategy is terrible. Let's look at this shall we?
1) Reynor never abuses the fact that his broodlords are flying but the thors / ghosts are walking around on the ground. He can come over the top of obstacles, and indeed he should always do so, flanking around and making it a real pain to chase him as he delivers broodlings and pulls back over the obstacle.
2) Reynor doesn't spread his investors properly.
3) Reynor doesn't raid enough / properly with ling run-bys and nydus late game. Serral and Dark are just so much better at it. Reynor kept building the Nydus in the same place, and the first time it was a fake was great. But after that, he never utilized it properly.
4) Reynor allowed Maru to continuously mine the top left when he could have been harrassing the whole time with smaller ling runbys. The threat of his broodlords in the center would have prevented Maru from being able to defend it properly. Nydus in the south, ling runbys in the north, main army center would have EASILY won the game for Reynor. Has Reynor never played chess?
5) Reynor doesn't build enough static defenses in the proper places; he was ahead enough early game he had 2 great choices: use some of the drones to build static defenses and contain Maru or transition to a huge army and try to kill Maru with a 270 degree swarm.
6) Reynor made Ultras against mass ghost, which is not effective due to snipes. He figured it out, but not before he spent all that money and effort on Ultras that just died without getting much done.
7) Reynor doesn't have good map awareness late game; I would have made a stronghold in the center of the map while I had the advantage early game, and kept the bulk of my forces there. If Maru chose to push north or south, Reynor could have met him (if side without enough static d) or pushed the other side.

Pig is better than every other commentator. Even tastosis. Yes I've said it.
I think he's the best SC2 commentator as well but doesn't mean I don't love Tastosis and a few other casters. They all have their strengths and their good/bad moments, Pig is just able to bring a level of game knowledge regarding all matchups that stands out. But it's more than just having the game knowledge, it's his clear/concise way of presenting it during his casting.
sorry but no, Tastosis is better. But it's not really a fair comparison because Tastosis is two people. Tastosis has more pure energy and passion, better casting voices.
2022 and still triying todefend a base with 1 or 2 misile towers, with all the loses, time mining etc, why dont buil 6 and have a real defence, insted of rebuilding and losing scv.s like 7 times, isnt cheaper

Reynor isn't very good at the strategy part of the game.
it seems to me that hes a macro machine, but doesnt quite know what to do with it all.. other than sending wave after wave into a wall.
Ive seen him lose like this way too many times now. He loses his fuel after mid game and has no plan B.
For how good ghosts are, what about making them cost more supply?
