Sometimes we are out own worst enemy when it comes to recovery. I failed so many times because of this mentality.
Thanks for watching, my name's Phil and I'm a former gambling addict. I make videos to share my experiences of gambling and talk about my recovery, abstinence and the challenges of quitting gambling. I also tend to ramble on about anything else that comes to mind and take great pleasure in dispelling some of the most common myths around gambling.
If you found this video interesting then check out the channel and consider subscribing (it would mean a lot). If you are struggling with a gambling problem then hopefully my videos will help but I strongly recommend getting some proper help from the guys below (I'm no expert, just someone who has 'been there, done that and got the t-shirt...(no) merch link in bio'.

Keep at it 😊 or not at it in this case (Gambling I mean 😂) we got this. ❤
I've just turned 39 and ive been a compulsive gambler since i was 14. Starting from 5p fruit machines to FOBTS then the casino. My addiction was always live roulette online/casino i decided to quit and placed my last bet on Christmas eve 2019. I was doing great, paid off all my debts and kept up to date with all my priority bills. However i recently had a relapse after 4 and a half years of no gambling. I ended up losing £5k in the space of 1 month. I'm absolutely raging about it. I took a hard look in the mirror and asked myself why are u doing this to yourself again?? Why do u want to suffer that endless pain of waking up in a mess again?? Its not worth it! I've quit before and i'm determind to succeed again! I can't change what i've done. Fuck gambling!
3 hours sober
Until you, me, whoever..
Until the person wishing to give gambling up for good truly, with the soul inside their vessel of a body.... understands what an idiot is, and that you, I, We are idiots (feeling pain, yet continues to do said activity with the same pain but hoping for different results) until that moment happens.....we are idiots.
10th Feb 2024 continues to be my last day of gambling. I plan to keep it that way.
Best of luck to you all.
Good luck mate 👍
Thanks

as gamblers we see things in utter defeat or victory. I don’t want a slightly better car or bigger house, I’ve wanted financial freedom and as much I’m behind my piers in terms of possessions they are still no closer to freedom than me especially in todays financial climate. This is the thinking that always leads me back to gambling.
4k down for 12 months dunno if thats bad or not
What was your loss over a year
I think that's irrelevant, we're here for the advice
gambling and drinking happen at the same place , kill two birds with one stone ,,,, one drink per day destroys a weight loss diet
