- SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - House Speaker Mike Madigan said he wants to remove two historical statues and a portrait from the statehouse because they are symbols of hate.
Instead of devoting so much energy to removing statues of dead people or changing syrup packaging, how about clean up street violence and murders of little children?
How about a government not run by criminals in both parties.
Mike Madigan needs to be removed from the state house. TERM LIMITS. Feel bad about the current state of the least enfranchised in Chicago and Illinois? Look no further than his 49yrs in office. Stack the dead and wounded at his door
Why now ? Why wasn't this done years ago? Leave it up...You cannot change history !!!
Want to make changes that are in the public realm? Put it on the ballot and we ALL decide, not the politicians.
That's right Mr Speaker, get rid of all of it. Anything that has anything at all to do with slavery or slaves should be completely erased. I don't want my children or my grandchildren to ever have to know about or have to look at anything remotely related to slavery. Let's make it like it never happened, destroy the evidence...
