Hi,,I use coriander and mint leaves lastly, no spring onions,,mint goes well with mutton dalca, try it out
Yes, coriander leaves. Definitely not spring onions. Never, not in dalca.
Hi there! Wonderful recipe but I'm wondering if more than 1 standard cup of dal was used cause that yield looks like it came from more like 2-3 cups of dal...
It was a large mug i guess.... oops!
Thanx for the recipe and your narration is epic. I want to try this out this weekend for my family. Did you say 8 tablespoons of garlic and ginger paste? And what kind of lentils please (is it thoram paruppu?)
Hi there.... we used Malawi paruppu. Also, yes, 8 tablespoons. Thank you so much for supporting us! Cheers!

Malavidal means
Malawi Dhal/Lentils... its a type of dhal.... you can use Tuval dhal, i think its called pigeon pea in English! Then again, whatever lentils you wanna use, go ahead and experiment.
Love your narration. I'm gonna make your grandma dalca today. I use chicken instead coz that is what I have thawed in the fridge right now. I've watched quite a few dalca recipes on CZcams. This one looks the best and is easily followed by beginners. Thank you 😍
Thank you so much. Yes, it would work well with chicken. All the best!

5 small green chillies (spicy) are u refering to cili padi?
yes!
That is not cumin but its fennel seeds
Sorry for the mistake...
Too much work can I come over to your house please
It surely looks delicious but lol it’s the first time I’ve ever heard spring onions in dalcha let alone in Indian cooking!
Thank you! Living in Malaysia, we have our unique style of incorporating local Malay and Chinese ingredients, especially when the results are amazing! Do try it!
