- I tried to make each image somewhat related to the lyrics and also to express the key moments of Christ's life, all enclosed within the infancy narrative.

Every time I hear this song,it always leaves a tear in my eye.
My Church is in Red Bluff,Ca. Sacred Heart Church is a 120 year old Cathedral. My wife Suzie and I sing in the Church Choir. We have a large Church Choir. Every Christmas at midnight candelite mass we sing this beautiful song. The Church Choir hasn't sung and will not be performing our beautiful Candle light Concert since the covid has kept us from doing so. It brings tears to my eyes. We all miss singing to our Lord.
I'm literally crying because my uncle died and never got to at least have a Christmas Eve with the whole entire family. Also I'm in a church choir and we had to sing night of silence while the audience, people were singing silent night. And my favorite priest father Agustin was leaving to Alaska the next day and he even came to my uncles funeral and did so much❤️😭😰😍☺️😊😃😄
Krazy Bunnies I'm sorry for your loss so is my grandmother she died last August all my family I was in Mexico puebla I stayed there since July and came back to Washington almost the end of month in September and I kept crying the whole time and I miss my grandmother so much R.I.P Grandmother Guadalupe I miss you so much now I'm about to cry right now If only I can get a hug😭😞😢
What is your uncle's first name and I will pray for his soul.😇
Same I’m in the church and school quior and I sang this while the others sang silent night
Sending you many thoughts and prayers this holiday season 🎄
Going to be singing this on christmas eve 2023. Cant wait. Anyone else?
Every year. Still makes me cry when we perform it. It's such a beautiful song.
I didn't know this was on youtube... I sang in this choir :) I remember singing the song last year :)
You would probably like to hear child of the poor also. My church choir sang those and many other great psalms. I havnt been to church in a long time but my soul still loves hearing this wonderful music
in middle I attended a private school and at our Christmas service, we would sing this. brings back so many memories
Perfect. Praise God! 🙏🙏🙏
We sing this at every Christmas Eve mass. I anticipate it for the entire year!

We sing this composition every Christmas Eve, and the congregation sits there enchanted by it. It brings me to tears singing it so much that I can't see the music! Good thing I memorized it. Making me cry right now just listening to it.
I sang this with my 5th grade class back in December 2013. It was at the Blessed Sacrament Church in Warren Ohio, I was only 10 and I remember that night clearly, we used this video for the music, I’ve kept this video and the song in my heart ever since. Every time I listen to this particular version, I get chills, it’s such a amazing, incredible, god-like version that always amazes me! 🙏🏻
Touches my heart every time I hear it. St Olaf Choir is great too
Yes!

We do it every Christmas Eve at our church. It doesn't get any easier! Tears flow every time I hear it or sing it. It's such a beautiful song.
Our church choir and congregation sings this at the midnight (11pm..) services most years. Some years we sing "Peace, Peace", Thank you for posting such a nice performance. Nice pacing, nice recording, nice instruments and the slideshow (with words!) help deepen the experience. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Just learned this at church choir. The new lyrics are amazingly beautiful and your singing too. The images are wonderful , thank you so much for compiling this.
It’s September now, and I love Christmas so much! I just want it to come so I can go to mass with my family and have a lot of fun!!!

Awsome!
I'm Anglican Catholic and I fell in love with this piece when a Roman Catholic friend introduced me to it. I introduced her to "Mary" ( by Patty Griffin- the one with the beautiful art). Where is this Gonzaga Chorus? Being in the season of Advent, I hope to introduce this beautiful music to my other other Orthodox and Anglican friends. Sure beats Devo any time!
Gonzaga University is a Catholic college in Spokane, Washington.
Great slideshow! :)

Absolutely beautiful! My eyes are spilling with tears! Both the music and the imagery.
Would you consider giving permission to share this amazing slideshow you compiled?
Tried to find and message you on FB.
my school choir is gonna sing this song
Gotta love all of the weird images - especially the ascension and assumption. WEIRD!
What is weird about those images?
@@crazycatlady7295 what do they have to do with the Nativity?
@@jimmybuccini7377 you are right------technically, the Ascension and the Assumption DON'T have anything SPECIFICALLY to do with the Nativity...... what I believe is the message here is that the Nativity, or rather, the birth of Jesus, started eveything----- had He not been born in order to die at the age of 33 for mankinds' sins, there would be no reason or necessity for either the Ascension or the Assumption. These 2 events are part of the history of Jesus. In the collage of images while this beautiful song is being performed, there was also the Annunciation---- where the angel appears to Mary to tell her she is to be the Mother of God. That would come BEFORE the Nativity, obviously, but it's all part & parcel of our Savior's history.
Im singing this song at school
Lel it's like every choir is going to sing this song
My school choir is going to sing this song
same

same here! it sounds awesome

What time does the second verse end? I know it's a dumb question but I really need to know!!
Around 2:06
Richard Grablin ok thank you so much!
Love this song, but the choir is a shade flat and not on top of the notes thru most of this song.
Who's arrangement is this? I want the sheet music!
let's see if you could make the like uneven
This is a very pretty version
But a Christmas program that I went to recently
did much better than this
like I was on the verge of tears
You didnt even do the harmony and this is a university level choir???
Person coughing/clearing their throat at 4:14 couldn't wait a few more seconds for the son to end? Thanks for ruining the best recording of Night of Silence.
Allan Jussaume I never noticed...
