- Night of Silence is a Christmas carol and Roman Catholic Advent hymn, written in 1981 by American composer, Daniel Kantor,[1] and then published in 1984 by GIA Publications. The carol is a quodlibet, the term used for a partner song that can be sung simultaneously with another song. ("Night of Silence" can be sung simultaneously with the Christmas carol "Silent Night").

3. Spirit among us, Shine like the star, Your light that guides shepherds and kings from afar, Shimmer in the sky so empty, lonely, Rising in the warmth of your Son's love, Star unknowing of night and day, Spirit we wait for your lov
