- Here's me building my PC
Sorry for the long video, tried to shorten it the most as I could without excluding the process. Lost some footage as well but I hope you can understand what I did anyways.
This project took about 2 weeks so that's why there's no finish on the wood because I wanted to get it usable as fast as possible.
I don't have a lot of fancy tools so I make do with what I have. This is also my first "real" you tube video, enjoy.

It is perfectly safe to have the HDD located where it is since the operating temperatures of the HDD is greater than the heat coming from the radiator, so the radiator is actually cooling the HDD since the air from one CPU is split up into three 120mm fans. Plus, the radiator has plenty of air to breathe because it is mounted on 30mm motherboard standoffs and that gives the radiator more than enough air to breathe.
You should think about some rubber padding or foam to dampen the vibrations.

@@WebbstR which bolts you use?
Can you give us plans and measures for the project
Met this dude in VR on bigscreen. Chill dude, hope you've been good man.
Yoo broski, been good my guy
Wow, I was fantasying a wooden build until I watched this video..great job man
This is so therapeutic. I would love to have a case like this. Thanks for making this video!
Can't believe i sat through all that, awesome job dude! Thought you were gonna add a plexi window at some point but still open case is cool!
thank you dude! yeah my plan was to do that but I fell in love with the open air case.
@@WebbstR plus better cooling
Really love the concept of this. Though granted I would have left my hard drive open and easy to get too in case I wanted to upgrade or it had a failure. Though that's what I love about making it out of wood. You can make it however you want. Good job and hope to see more cases in the future from you!
He mounts the hdd from the back side. So he can get to it whenever without having to remove the cooler. Im not seeing an issue here 🤷♂️
Hey bro! this was a really great idea! I'd love to see more! I think you did a kick-ass job with what you had.
thank you man
From a carpenter turned system administrator, absolutely great job ☺️ I think I'll give it a shot after watching this!
This video is an inspiration. I've had a rough couple of days, and somehow this video is exactly what I needed.
I've been thinking about wooden computer cases for a while now, and I've just bought a bunch of tools and started learning how to use them. I don't see anyone else doing stuff like this, I think it's super cool. I'm going to start my first wooden case today. I hope you enjoy yours, and I'll send you pictures or something if you're interested when I'm done.
This made my day dude, I would love to see your progress.
How much the tools cost?
Incredible work! Congratulations...
When you're wood worker but also gamer 👍
Awesome job keep it up cant wait for the next one
notices this in recommended
you deserve more then 33 subs and i love your work!🥰
That honestly means so much to me, tyfam
Great Video. You custom made your own case to fit your own needs and thats awesome! Granted I'm sure a metal computer case (depending on who makes the case) could have been cheaper (wood is not cheap) but instead of waiting for a case manufacturer to fit your needs you did something better and made your own and thats one skill I wish I had. Great Idea and video.👍👍👍👍
This costs more in time than materials actually - A decent price point for a case is $150-250 ish. I don't think he spent that much on wood, but definitely spent some time on it!
I believe these kind of projects cater to those people who 1) like custom stuff and / or 2) already have these materiales hanging around, left over from other projects
*Your Choice of Music is Commendable!* 👍👌
this is the FIRST open case design i actually like, well done my guy
Eeeey thank you my guy
Awesome work dude!
Good video plus I like the soundtrack!
Soundtrack is the best
Hey man, its just great... keep going with this job! Waiting for more builds like this.
Thank you man, it means a lot
Awesome build! It's satisfying to build and challenge yourself, and that great feeling when you are finished. Can't be bought.
Thank you man! One of the best feelings in the world ;)
One of the best cases, continue bro💪
actually earned a sub i love this
Cool!! And where can I get the medal pieces that hold the motherboard?
20mm motherboard standoffs I believe they're called. I'll look in eBay 👍
Exactly ;)
Dude- that is some serious woodworking skills! Bravo!
Thanks Paul, I really appreciate it :)
Your Amount of Effort...Skill, Time and Passion. Great Stuff Young Man. Impressiv!
BTW guys the PSU dust filter is no longer taped on, it's now stapled on.
Well that makes it easy to clean..
you could have glued strips of metal to the filter and used magnets to keep the filter in place :) or used staples on the wood and magnets on the filter :) that mite work as well
just saw this video

@@kennethdeguzman6588 Thank you for showing me.
Bravo.
I was going to put dislike, but after I red your intro I changed my mind. You know that you have to put a cover. Even if you didn't know it then you know it now.
All the dust seats on your precious built and components. So much effort and so much imagination is really sad to be covered by dust.
I think glass or plexiglass cover is a must.
This is awesome, I'm a tech nerd and love making things with wood so this is a perfect video for me.
Awesome Bud!!! I know it's just plywood but it needs 17 coats of varnish, that is a master piece
Bom trabalho!! Abraços do Brasil ❤️
For one so young, you have some slammin' woodworking skills !! Great job :)
Hard job! Great result!
u are amazing bro, congrats for the case, your work is awesome, i hope to do something similar some day, i enjoyed the video so much!
I have one when my game crashed . Then somone in the game typing "WOODEN PC" 😁
01:37 min, what are these screws called? and where can I buy them?
those are motherboard standoff screws, u can find some on amazon i believe
Awesome build! Now all you need is some good LEDs!! You have inspired me to build my own! Thanks!
hahahhaha yup, dude I'm so happy to hear that, that was one of my goals with this build. you made my day
very cool, inspired
Great idea, execution on 10 out of 10. Well done, keep it up.
Thank you man :)
Nice! Beautiful machine! Makes me want to make a wood case! Looking to build with a fan cooled Ryzen 3400G APU.
Do it man! One of my goals with this build was to inspire people, and you saying you want to make your own makes me so happy dude. Nothing is stopping you!
Thanks. Great idea on how to install the motherboard standoff screws size!! I needed it
nice build and good effort, i enjoyed the video
When i streaming and so lag to play game

all that effort to use a fkn hdd....my eyes hurt...awesome job though dude...i love that you took your time with it even though you were in a hurry (using the washer on the corners lol)
Good Job Mate !!!!
Yeah aint been getting that bag to often lately, so a 5 year old hdd it is... lmao. but thank you man honestly
incredible work
Nice one, looking forward to try and make one for my micro atx system. What are the measurements for the graphics card shield holder?
Sir, this is a masterwork.
You are to kind sir
What? No RGB?
Just kidding. You did an awesome job.
hahaha thank you, thinking about getting some new fans and putting led strips underneath the base to get some ungerglow action.
Wow what a build. and it looks really nice at the end :)
thanks my guy ;)
Nice job my bro. Looks sweet.
ey ty fam
Jajaja casi me da un paro cardiaco al ver esa pantalla azul de la muerte
Hahahahha got you dude
😂😂😂
10/10 for the effort. 0/10 for time and cost building it. Jokes aside, I know you did this for the fun of it. Gj.
Awesome build and dedication.
thank you man, really appreciate it :)
Great job, cogratulations!
Dad, where are those 2x4 you said we had??
This is amazing. One question...why didn't you stain the wood and give it a thick clear coat? Or just the clear? Either way I'm subbed now
Hahha thank you man, this was my finals project for school and I had to get it done asap.
WebbstR _ well you nailed the project imo
thank god i was just lookin for this kind of video
That is amazing work. Good job.
love it,. brazil love u videos
7:00 Oh Jesus, w10 again, hey wait, oh god its fine
Yeah is big work and long time
oh god not again, wait iam on manjaro. 2 min later on laptop, Mint Laptop:GRUB RESCUE . $hiT
Wow! great job buddy!
this is beautiful
Lol, dat error message. Very nice, I would have put the radiator above to vent the air away from the board and HDD.
Really cool, I'd love to see what it looks like with a nice stain on the wood.
easier Wooden PC case just take the drawer out of the bottom of your dresser and turn it on its side XD, interesting idea though the exhaust would've smelled great if you used spruce, white pine, cherry wood or apple wood
it's made out of pine plywood and yes it smelled great for a while
Awesome work mate!
This video shows if you have talent you can make anything 🤘😎🤘
I spent a nice chill moment. @mozinor you could too ;)
Nice idea, but the rad heats the hdd ... could be placed better but its nice and handmade
More like the rad cools the HDD, that's why I put it there. But thank you.
if he have the fans sucking air through the rad it pulls cold air over the hdd :)
@@MartinHamlot is that air cold tho? (its not)
@@KmcStas "cold" air as in room temp :p
@@MartinHamlot just move your hand near exhaust of your pc or lapton whatever and tell me how much it is ambient air temp ok
A 20 minute video took your 2 days
Hats off to you sir
Good Job! Congratulations!
What about the heat that produce and it's all wooden
It's not enough heat to start a fire plus everything is raised of the wood
вот это ты заморочелся...👍🤓, я даж чёт без перемоток наблюдал🤗
hahaha yeah I got confused a couple of times during the build.
Awesome! Great job!
Beautiful case
Looks good. Is a lot of work. But hmm i work professional with wood. And my heart hurt xD. Is okay man. Good work/idea.
I made a prototype case before this one with 2 layers of plywood only, didn't have anywhere to put the cables. so that's why this one has 3.
nice man - shood carve sumthing into it then oil it
Fantastic build!
thank you man honestly
F'n gorgeous! Excellent job! I didnt mind the long video though, I found it to be nice. Any other projects on the horizon for you?
Thank you James! Been planning for a new project since this video came out, I just have a few things to figure out ;)

Good job, AMAZING
so much work into something as simple as a pc case wow.
Hahaha yeah, gotta make it look good you know ; )
Seriously, wear a dust mask, or you won't last long...

What materials did you use on this build? I'd like to build one also. Thanks!
friend, it was incredible, surreal...
I want to make a wooden casemod too, and I will use your video as an inspiration thank you from the bottom of my heart
07:00 oopsie woopsie???? Anyone???
Nice, dude. Very nice.
Somebody: "How big is your pc case?"
Americans: "One and a half handsaws"
This video just earned my sub .... nice work
can i ask where did you bought those had screws for motherboard? the long ones
and btw . amazing job!!
I did similar for me, but from aluminium C-shape bars, stand is like T, but upside down. It costs 3 Euro + some screws and nuts. Painted with primer + matt black. Painted also mobo. Mobo mounted from right side, PSU and SSDs from left side. Custom LEDs, custom power button with red LED O-ring inside. Looks beautyful, it's quiet, CPU/GPU temps never reach 65 degrees. My first build, but I'm technicaly skilled. For all next gaming builds I'll always use this "upside down T-shape stand" instead of PC cases
Best cooler, awesome
Fantastic job!
