Still waiting for Pentium Unobtainium edition.
I know a guy that told me he has a Honda Civic with unobtainium cam mods.
Pentium Itanium
U-tec just kicked in YO !
Pentium Australium
be a Pentium with AVX turned on
Not a fan of these "gold, silver, platinum" designations, CPUs aren't luxury brand loyalty memberships.
especially hyperpenium
That actually made it sounds like 90s products
@Wrecksheeps uh...
Perhaps Intel likes segmenting segmented segments... ;-) Sorry, couldn't help it after seeing that chart.
Segmentception
To differenciate products is important to absorb the consumer surplus. The more you differenciate the more you absorb.
segfault error
This was a foregone conclusion...this isn't 2017, this is 2018, and while Intel did business as usual for them, AMD is truly innovating and put out the incredible duo the 2200/2400G that redefines what "low end" is. As I keep on saying, competition is a good thing...one wonders though if Intel actually cares enough at this price point to even bother to compete...time will tell.
Can we finally declare dual core CPUs dead, please?
They might still be enough for school systems
Sterling Pesso or ht or office use, so long as theyre hyper threaded
A lot poor people that can't afford an i3 and hate AMD because AMD is for poor people will still buy these dual core processor for gaming. So Intel still want to make money from these buyers.
Aron Lee i feel like they should just save up. An i3 offers much more value in gaming
I know, poor people who can't afford core i3 but hates AMD because AMD is for poor people, get it? lol
But yea, unless some poeple are delusional, there's no sub $100 CPU+ GPU combo that can come close to AMD's 2200g by its own. Even using a dGPU, unless you are getting a real 4 core cpu (Kaby Lake i5s or Coffee Lake i3s) 2200g will still beat any dual cores in modern games due to dual core choking the shit out of the dGPU... especially when considering Intel didn't release any overclockable Pentiums this time around and even if they did, spending $200+ for a Z board just to be able to OC a dual core processor also seemed pointless and unnecessary.
G5400 = i3 6100.
EDIT:
G5400: 2/4 3.70 GHz; 4 MB SmartCache; 8 GT/s DMI3
i3 6100: 2/4 3.70 GHz; 3 MB SmartCache; 8 GT/s DMI3
Just get a used 6/7th gen i5 or i7 if you have a decent enough mobo, you can save the platform cost that way.
=i3 7100
Obviously no, the i3-8100 is a true 4 core CPU.
Ryzen is love, Ryzen is life

Look, up in the sky... its Benchmark Man!
Is it a bird?, is it Superman? Nope, it's Steve from Hardware Unboxed
The benchmark for benchmarkers!
Don't know why people disliked this video, why hit the dislike button? It was a good video, good content and was pretty unbiased. Good video Steve and team, keep up the good work.
Cheers mate.
D!rty k!rty fat fingers mane
You have to consider the price difference between the two platforms, which is rather sizeable for a budget system. If you had the money to spend that Steve budgeted for the AMD system, you would obviously go with an i3-8100 quad-core on the Intel side, too, and still have $30 left to go towards a better graphics card. (which may very well be the difference between a 1050 and a 1050 Ti.
I don't know how that i3-8100 would ultimately stack up, maybe an idea for a follow-up video, Steve?
Actually realistically if you are buying a 2200g, you are using the mini Vega iGPU, which is very close to GT1030, there's no Intel processor that could offer such gaming performance using it's iGPU, even a 8700k OC'ed to 5.3ghz let along at $99 price point.
AMD is releasing it's lower end 2000 series CPU soon which will probably boost/OC into 4.1 to 4.2ghz like their bigger brothers and at lower price point that 2200g's $99
+proesterchen he's mostly talking discrete GPU, CPU workload, and a major thing that most people didn't comment on is the upgrade path.. That's a huge deal for down the line performance upgradeability.
2200G is definitely better value, 2 more physical cores and double the graphics power, definitely worth the price premium.
More like 3x the graphics power, or even 4x in more modern titles that use advanced shaders. HD 610 is an utter disgrace.
Oh right, I forgot it used the HD 610. Yeah, I mean it's only meant for desktop work...
the cpu power alone is worth the extra money as it breaks the line between smooth and not smooth with some more recent titles...
Intel aims to be cheaper, not faster here - this cpu is for buisnesses. The price tag difference of 30$ matters here and they dont need the graphics power.
For the people wich want to play on a budget the G Ryzens are an ok option - however you woud be still cheaper to just buy a console. (even on the long run unless you want to play online than its more expensive after some years).
ppl might do other stuff then just gaming on their PC's even rendering/editing some videos of their kids, webbrowsing, coding, graphics design or whatever, a console is kinda useless for that
I'm currently on a Pentium until I can upgrade. It's not good. Dual core CPUs no longer have a place
If its pre-hyperthreading it'll be pretty average, especially in games, but I use a G4560 chip in my second system and the performance for the price is hard to argue with. Plus, I picked the chip up for $50 and a used board for $35... can't go wrong there!
What about your RAM it could be a big bottleneck if its got slow speeds and doesn't overclock well?
Yeah i was just curious as you jumped from budget intel to high end amd. Some people wouldnt upgrade their ram and would loose performance.
Well unless you want to game and have absolutly no money you need to go with the Ryzen G2200. However I think thats a bad comparisson at all - its actually 30$ more expensive then the Penrium, and the Pentium - as every generation - is basicly the cheapest cpu you can get and clearly want to hit schools and buisnesses not Gamers.
I woud every buisness for office stuff and co tell to get the 60$ Pentium, since its cheaper and uses less power. Thats basicly all what matters for these type of users.
Unless the last generation where a Pentium basicly was an I3 this here is not targeting gamer at all.
in many tasks these days though, a Quad Core for a little bit more makes a huge difference.
I am happy with my ryzen 2200g's performance.
I am using the iGPU Vega 8 OC'd @1500 and GPU @3.7 on all cores only with the Stock Cooler. And still get great fps in low-med settings 1080p
I mainly use it for DOTA 2 and CsGO , and its over 120fps on both games . So no complaints there.
I will be buying a gtx 1060 or rx 570 which one will be cheaper after the prices are settled down.
So finally my suggestion to all is-
If you wanna game now! While waiting for the GPU prices to settle down then blindly go for the ryzen
NB: keep checking for bios updates regularly for bug fixes
Could you please let me know what motherboard and cooler you are using? Thanks.
i am using ASUS prime b350m-k mobo
and Stock cooler (you dont really need any external cooler, stock works wonders, even when overclocked temps never go over 70 degree celcius)
I know it's been 3 years but I just got a 2200g with a MSI A320M-A Pro mobo, 16GB DDR4 2667 RAM, what settings did you use to OC both cpu and apu?
buy rx570
Rainbow Six Siege benchmark! Hadn't noticed that before. Love that game. Great stuff as per.
Steve, you're the man! I love these budget oriented topics, even though my own pc isn't exactly budget build
Mr.Benchmark at it again. Such a delight.
That being daid I know the Pentium is just a dual core. But damn it got crushed. The last gen Kaby Lake Pentiums atleast hung in there with the i3 chips but my god what a fall from grace
HotRodX I doubt that. It seems more that the era of the dual core is just coming to an end. With the launch of Ryzen we saw even the i3 go up from 2c/4t to a true quad core. And with more and more games being made to support 4 cores or more the old dual core just cant keep up. Even with hyper threading.
niki75 its about time Intel got shown the door..dual core for any PC now is a joke!
I agree. Dual core CPU's may have been revolutionary 13 years ago with the Athlon X2 and later the Core 2 Duo. But much like single core CPU's... It's time to let go.
Dual cores are fine for browsing pcs and media streaming boxes however ryzen at 99 with that igpu it's the budget king in my book
laern to spell idiot
Hardware Unboxed you read my mind, thank you for great content!
As always, in depth content. Keep it up mate!
Good test Steve, As always, in depth content.
Yes its true .. for budget powerful build, would consider Ryzen G series cpu .. as it's onboard gpu is far better than intel's onboard ..👍
Noodle Confusion
What do you mean by that, Intel and Amd's Collaboration for Integrated Vega gpu in Intel Cpus ?🤔
I think that's not going to happen for Desktop Intel Cpus .. as Intel is planning for Discreet GPU line.
I may be wrong ..🙄
I think it'll still be a little while before we see Intel's discreet GPU line up to release. If so, then I wouldn't be surprised if they put out an Intel chip with Vega for the desktop to hold them over.
Always find a quality content in this chanel Good work
MightyBeast I hoped there would be i3 8100 in the video, benched on the same platform, it's kinda same price as 2200G for the whole bundle.
Nice! One question, though: was the power consumption measurements performed with the IGPUs disabled? Not sure if that is possible on 2200G...
Yes, a discrete graphics card was used.
is normal 2200g have more system power consumption because pentium bottleneck a lot gtx 1070 and so consume less
I am curious what settings you were running for siege... I run a 1060 6GB with custom settings and get about half that frame rate. Did you have T-AA on?
Its nice to see that you are getting sponsors.
Uh! What a difference a year makes! 2 core 4 threads just doesn't cut it anymore!
I'm toying with changing my platform (currently lga 1155) and the B350 looks to be the absolute best value and longevity so far. It's only ddr4 ram pricing that's holding me back.
Wait untill the B450, better ram OC and better VRM for OC
Hey, Steve (and Tim).
*Can we have a short 'Ultimate Gaming Benchmark' (UGB) video featuring the 2200g and 2400g?*
I think it would be interesting to see the impact of SMT in the future of a build where you would slot a future GPU in there and would benefit only of the CPU part.
If you think that older videos as the R3 UGB and others were enough to answer this question, it's okay, I know you guys put a lot of work in the channel ~s2~.
In any case, if anyone want to discuss, feel free to share your opinions.
Very good comparaison and really well explained. Keep it up!
Hi Steve, I was wondering if you can do a comparison of these cpu when the G5400 w/ GT1030 vs 2200g w/ vega 8. It will be somewhat the same price then.
Read my comment about pricing (if you can find it), but G5400+1030 vs 2200G would probably see the Intel/Nvidia side win by a small margin, though at greater power draw, complexity (easier to set up a CPU than CPU+GPU, especially for beginners who would buy that), etc...
But as my comment above states, it's actually only 16% more for overclockable 2200G vs non-OC G5400, so there's hardly a price difference anyway.
Overclocked the 2200g will probably beat the intel/nvidia combo.. You can check tech epiphany's benchmark videos
The G5400+ gt1030 would probably be ~5% faster than the overclocked 2200G using the iGPU, but in productivity tasks, the 2200G will still beat the G5400
This won't be the case, the cheapest GT1030 on newegg is $82, the 2200g is $99 the Pentium can't be $17 and is in fact $64.
So realistically a Pentium 5400 + GT1030 will be almost 50% more expensive than a single 2200g and probably still lose in every modern games out there due to the dual core bottleneck.
Matthhew Alex ^^^ what this guy said
Ryzen 3 2200G vs i3 8100 next!
Quality content continues !
Awesome video as always :D
I just want to ask a little bit:
1. As a former G4560 user paired with a GTX970, main concern with the Pentium was its maximum CPU usage on playing on some games like R6 or GTA. The problem with this is due to MAX cpu usage, other background application is not working very well, especially Discord or Teamspeak where you couldn't hear what the others are saying. This is detrimental especially you are looking to play competitively in R6. Does this also happen in the newer G5400 as well?
2. Some youtubers showed a document leak about the allegedly new Z390, where the newer B360, H310 boards etc in the 300 series chipset, which is usable with a new generation of upcoming Intel processors post Coffee Lake. The Z370 was in other hand classified as a 200 series chipset which prohibits the upgrade to the next gen intel processors. It would be nice to know whether this situation is true, because this could means that buying the Intel package is not a terrible deal after all
Steve we need some more unboxing boxes please been a while
Hi Steve, Can you be a little more consistent with %age comparisons? I notice that sometimes you use the higher scoring chip/gpu to draw comparisons and sometimes you use the lower scoring chip/gpu. What this means is that on Cinebench you note that the Ryzen is 50% faster (using the higher score) it would show 75%faster if you referenced against the lower score but in PC Mark you reference the lower score and compare with that instead.
I'm not sure what you're saying, I've correctly calculated the percentages in every instance when going 'to' and 'from'. The 2200G was 48% faster in Cinebench's multi-threaded test, the G5400 was 32% slower. There is no other way to put this.
I glad to see the you have sponsorship, but it would be nice to move to the start or end of the show. The sponsor part was too long for the middle of the video. It seem to me that alot of first time visitors who dont really know the channel will just go to something else when the add starts? Great actual content.....,.
Steve at 10:30 are you certain that a r7 370 is performing less than a gtx 750ti, or perhaps is it a r7 360? I find it hard to believe as I own a r7 370 and compared to a gtx 750ti I am sure that it is the better card by far. That aside good video and hope you keep it up!
In the titles where overclocking the R3 had little to no effect upon framerate, was the system being bottlenecked by the 1070?
If not, what was the likely cause of the performance ceiling?
Steve, im planning to build a website. Which do you prefer, squarespace or wix?
Steve! Please compare it now to the 2600 with the same gpu. I am really curious what extra headroom 2600 gives compared to 2200G/2400G
I would like to see a Ryzen APU tested on an X470 to determine if there are any noticeable benefits using a 400 series motherboard over the older 300s with the Raven Ridge APUs.
The results would certainly help to see if it's worth waiting for the "budget friendly" B450 mobos to be released later in the year for an APU build... or, just go with a B350 now and call it a day.
There isn't.
Interesting to see how the gap have widened (compared to last years Pentium g4560 and Ryzen 3 1200 test). What is the reason? Better optimization for Ryzen? Or games finally needing and using 4 real cores?
dude i like your video but can you tell me the spects of that tower behind you?
Waited for this after seeing your G+ post
I used to use INTEL, until they took an AMD to the Knee!!!
Hey Steve, any ETA on that Ryzen video with the memory settings tightened?
This Saturday.
Great job, any chance of a mega test -> Intel single core performace from G5400 to i7-8700K ? :)
Steve if u can then please upload another comparison video of these CPUs with 1050/1050ti/1060 3gb.Also if u can please Include the i3 8100 next time.
Will be looking forward to see this video.
Great benchmarks as always. One interesting question with such entry level CPUs is: When do they start to bottleneck?
The 2200g can easily support a GTX 1060 6 GB afaik. But it starts to bottleneck with a GTX 1070 depending on the games and the settings.
I remember, that the G4560 did well with a GTX 1050ti, but started bottlenecking with a GTX 1060 6 GB. Not a serious bottleneck, but it clearly lowered the FPS a bit.
Do you know, if the new G5400 is strong enough to support a GTX 1060 6 GB without (serious) bottlenecking?
the g5400 is basically the g4560 with 100mhz higher clock speed so i do think it'll bottleneck a gtx 1060 in certain games
Hey Steve... Is the article on Techspot the same as you said here? Just wondering if you're the one who posted it....
Yes, it's the same Steve.
I think that the upgradepath of the Ryzen platform also is rather important, you can always put in some extra RAM and a nice hexacore or octacore CPU later. For Zen2 and Zen3 such an upgrade is going to be sweet.
Please test some higher end chips on the h310 motherboard as well to see how they fare.
Thanks!
will there be any new cpus comming for the 1151 socket?
Would have loved to see a couple of integrated graphics comparisons too!
Man, your tests are the best!
Just to think that entry level CPUs/APUs can pull this off...
Great comparison but it got me thinking. So the 2200G is about £50 ish more expensive - what graphics can you get for that and how do they compare to the Vega 8 on board the 2200G? I found a GTX 560Ti on ebay for £50 and research suggests it's better than Vega 8 for games. So looking at overall cost I wonder which one comes out better in a cheap gaming system like that? Would love to see that video. As always love the channel and almost everything you do, my most watched tech channel.
Great benchmark and video as always. I've been a bit curious about how the 2200g/2400g stacks up to other cpus with a while using a graphicscard, since it has replaced the non-apu R3/R5? lineup from amd.
"Edit: it was in "Ryzen 5 2400G & Ryzen 3 2200G Review, More Benchmarks Than You Can Handle!" Silly me. Ofc Hardware unboxed had already made it!
I've done boat loads of videos on the APUs mate and I've made the video you are after. Search the channel for 2200G and 2400G.
Damnit :D I knew i had seen it somewhere, and actually spend a good 2h looking through all the footage I could find in your channel about 2200g last week, still couldnt find it. The only video i skipped was the "Ryzen 5 2400G & Ryzen 3 2200G Review, More Benchmarks Than You Can Handle!" because i was sure it wasnt in that one.... And that is where it where! Silly me, and thanks for the answer. Keep up the awesome work =)
Considering that the Celeron is below the Pentium, do you think that there is a gap in the market for something like a Ryzen 1 2000G?
Hey Hardware Unboxed,
Thanks for the rock solid Benchmarks again.
May I suggest something:
Most gamers sitting on low end machines focus on playing competetive Games - however you only use CS:GO and Overwatch as a benchmark for these people, while basicly at this price point it rly matters.
What about: Fortnite, League of Legends, Dota2, Heroes of the Storm, World of warcraft (or other relevant mmo's), PUBG, etc.? Woudnt that make alot more sense, specificly on the budget series? I see the problem, you have basicly no exact benchmarks in these games - however some kind of indicator woud probably be good.
I agree on the value - I think the Intel is the better deal for schools and Buisnesses cause of Price point (wich gets more and more relevant the more you want to buy) and power usage, Its probably not your target audience, but some words about value for BUisness coud make it your audience. I personaly understand myself what is most value for my buisness - alot of buisness people (and I know for sure) have exactly no idear. If you woud dedicate 30-60 seconds on them, people coud share the video in these cases aswell.
Could you do a comparison between 2200g w/ 1050ti or 1060 vs 2400g w/ 1050ti or 1060? This would help a lot of people who are thinking to buy an amd second gen and to upgrade to a dedicate gpu later.
Is there an i3 to test around Steve that would be a nice vid!
Could you include at least one Vulkan-only game and DX12-only game starting the next benchmark video? If possible.
What about cheap used HD 7000 / gtx 600 series gpu + G5400 vs 2200G without discrete gpu? I would never buy a dual core in 2018, but for some it might make sense.
Wow my i5 7400. Only get 523 cinebench thats sad
KingFTW lol how?? I think you broke your cpu lmao
how? What the i5 7400 supposed to get?
what? My i5 7400 get 712 in cinebench
Is interesting to see how up to 4 cores, each core makes a big difference at gaming, even when the dual core CPU has 4 threads.
I have to say, for it's price, the Pentium performs great, but it is limited by it's core count. Even my R3 1200 at 3.9ghz does feel like it is starting to fall behind a bit in Battlefield 1 with 64 players, and too many modern games push it to a constant 100% usage, so I imagine with a Pentium it would be much worse in that regard.
I would love to see a video on the i3-8100 vs the 2200G. If there’s already a good one out there let me know!
Could you guys make a video about the new Intel CPU/AMD GPU chips that were recently released? Thank you guys loved this vid and would love to see how this compares with the combined cpu and gpu from Intel/amd
Trevor Jennings aren't those only for oems? I haven't heard of one that uses a desktop socket
There was a plan to bring a consumer processor(from intel) with integrated VEGA, but nvidia found a way to stop it... yay...
But i think the current one (Hades nuc) is(or will be) available for public.
Amazing work as always, love this channel
"Hardware Unboxed Uploaded:..."
I watch
They uploaded an iWatch??? :O :O
Lol
the ryzen is looking pretty good but keep in mind that i3 8100's are going for 88 bux regularly and that b360 boards can be had for around 70 so that puts you in the same price bracket as a 2200g and a 50 dollar a320 or cheaper than a b350 and 2200g. plus iintel tolerates slower cheaper ram better. good to see good choices from both again though that is the main thing
I was looking to buy a 2200g with a b350 however the store told me that i needed a x470 (which COSTs twice) to be guaranteed for it to work out of the box since the b350 will not have the correct bios to run the 2200g.So this will increase the cost significantly and make it less worth the money.
Been waiting for this.
Great video as always but i really feel a i3 8100/B360 ddr4 2400 combo should have been included.
I really want your educated opinion on 2200Gvs8100 value WITH a dedicated GPU.
I predict the i3 will come out on top.
that deep cool heat sink is a hard one to get on.
I like the focus on the 1% lows for game testing.
When are they bringing out the pentium MMX and Pro versions? That aside I hope they make an OVER *_DRIVE_* Lakeᵀᴹ , I'm keen on a review of that one.
any chance we could get a video showing how the gap between the weakest celeron and most powerful i7 has changed across the generations?
Which should i buy I3 8100 or ryzen 3 2200G ??
A year ago I got a lot of shit for saying the G4560's fate would be the same as the G3258 Anniversary Edition: it'll be good for year or two before it barely runs new games. Not enough new games in this suite to really tell, but 2c4t is clearly on life support nonetheless. Also, I disagree with, but understand the reasons for using overpowered cards to benchmark weak CPUs, but claiming that using a GTX 1070 with these processors is "somewhat realistic" is a bit beyond the pale, unless I'm missing the sarcasm.
"somewhat realistic" is sarcasm but he didn't mean full sarcasm as the 1160 would probably as fast as the 1070
You were spot on man, we see how weak 2c/4t is in modern games, stutters with low 1% cos there's just not enough real cores to take the workload of well threaded games. Nowadays the 4c/4t is like minimum for a gaming build and it will also struggle next year as games use more threads. 6c/6t or 4c/8t is the sweetspot, it should have some legs for a few more years.
Will the future ASRock board model a320m hdv support new bios support R3 2300X
Great work Steve, as usual.. But, i can't help to wonder, woulden't an i3-8100 be a better contender to 2200G? I mean, considering it has 4 cores just like Ryzen, even though it costs ~20$ more... Just sayin :)
You can see how the 2200G and 8100 stack up here: czcams.com/video/FntY5rYR4cE/video.html
This was more about the new G5400.
i love the 1 to 1 cpu benchmarks but sometimes i wish you had like a better cpu on there so we can see how they stack up like have an 8700k at the top because as it is you really dont know if these scores are good unless you go look at other benchmarks or just know all the scores
You should definitely do a re-test of this once the Ryzen 3 2100 comes out
Sure, will do ;)
assuming you're aiming for budget you go for an a320 board and same ram (with the added value that you can upgrade your ram capacity and frequency later) and your platform costs become equal.
Here is a question for you Steve. If you were stuck today with running either a 4-thread pentium or an FX-8370 for the next couple years...which would you take?
Oh Steve, You never let me down!
Thanks for the video Steve. I think a better comparison would be i3 8100 vs R3 2200G, both are true 4 core cpus. I threw together a couple builds using both. I would be curious to see how each performed against one another. 8100 pcpartpicker.com/list/QKhxcY and 2200G pcpartpicker.com/list/z4NTJ8 both systems cost $600 and even gave the 2200G 3200 mhz Ram.
it makes sense though, yes the Pentium is cheaper with only 2 cores with HT, but 4 cores vs 2 will always be faster, this goes for both sides. although i dont recommend a 4T chip to anyone anymore, the extra 50 bucks goes a lot longer in terms of performance in the long run.
Could you do a comparison between i3 8100 and Ryzen 2200G plz? They're much more similarly priced.
Day one review has that data. The G5400 is a new CPU that people wanted compared to AMD's cheapest Ryzen CPU.
Yeah so true, ironic how all these channels call out fanboys, yet only recommend Ryzen where Intel does it better. I don't understand why people are still recommending Ryzen opposed to Intel for gaming. Eg an i5 8400 is value KING.
You guys can read right? Steve clearly started that he has the data for i3 8100 vs 2200G in his day one review, why would he make another one?
My point is despite the data being there showing Intel does it better than Ryzen for gaming (and sometimes for Adobe Premiere), they still say "blah blah blah, so Ryzen is really good, ". The fanboying for these techtubers is real
Wizard Koer I didn't denny that, i only said that Steve already has the data for i3 8100 vs 2200G
Thanks great work !!! =D
Should of shown a third option. with 320 mobo, 2200G and $70 range ram. (you don't have to have the overclock...) The 2200G at stock is very effective with base clock or base igpu clock. about $245+ range.
I also feel you are totally missing the point of the G5400 to G5600 product line. You can save a few dollars now, get yourself up and running in games in a playable way, and have a very clear path, depending on motherboard selection, all the way up the Intel line of current gen CPUs
Ryzen is really kicking ass lately , and it goes better and better , Can't wait for Ryzen 3000 series ! Zen2 on 7Nm ... Wow !
2019 will be a real revolution for AMD !
Good Stuff Steve! thanks.
Excellent Review!
I'm wondering why wasn't the G5400 tested with the same memory speed as the 2200G? There are motherboards that support XMP and would allow the G5400 to use the same DDR4-2933 memory as the 2200G.
This was explained in the video, you need a Z-series board, so a Z370 motherboard to use memory above spec.
You don't need to buy expencive RAM, if you go Ryzen. Every memory can overclock somewhere about 3Ghz. Every 2133-2400 stick, that i tried takes minimum of 3066, and Samsung memory can even get 3466 (original 2400) with 1.35v.
When will ryzen 2 mobos come out? Digital rgbs are a must.
Since you got both CPUs on your hands, you could do the same testes but only with the AMD on its own integrated GPU vs the Pentium on a GT 1030!
I'd rather see the comparison with as many of the same parts as possible but you oc the 2200g on its stock cooler to take advantage of the " free performance" of overclocking while not spending more on memory ect.
Pentiums does not have AVX if I'm correct. This is why blender and some other tests, which utilize AVX, does so well with the Ryzen, which does support AVX.
I wish the APUs weren't so reliant on stupid fast memory in dual channel. You'd think for the quad cores they'd only use one CCX to remove the latency 🤔 Although they might have done that and I just don't know what I'm talking about
The 2200g and 2400g only use one CCX for the CPU.
When can we see crossfire for amd apus with Vega 64&56
