Kudos to Rick Hendrick for giving Larson the opportunity to race his dream in his prime.
Yeah Mr. H and Jeff were nice enough to put this together for Larson. He's gonna win this, he's won in practically everything else.
@@SamuelDuplessis12I donât like Larson that much (bc he always wins, wouldnât really say heâs the max Verstappen of NASCAR, just the fact that whenever he wins nobody is to surprised), but if he places in the top 3 or 5 in the Indy 500, then place good in the Coca-cola 400 or 600 (I get it mixed up), then thatâll be amazing to see
â@@timezero7443
He doesn't always win in NASCAR. AFA F1 it's follow the leader/money. It's the 600 and the only person to complete both races was Tony Stewart in 2001. He finished 6th in the 500 and after starting from the back in the 600 finished 3rd.
I like the rows of bricks on the helmet. If there was ever anyone in the modern era that can do a one off IndyCar drive in the Indy 500, without prior IndyCar experience, it's Larson.
Kurt Busch finished 6th a few years ago without prior indycar experience
Jeff Gordon would have done well, wish he would have made a go of it in his prime
Kyle Busch has the talentâŠ.
@@norman9291 Kurt had the whole month. zThat was before they shortened it to a 2 week program.
So awesome to see drivers participating in many different disciplines of racing! Also, the âhighlight to interview ratioâ of this video is hilarious.
"Awesome" What an overused word..
@@wyatberp3611 thanks
lol
@@wyatberp3611and yet you couldnât stand it that someone used that word before you didâŠ? Yeh so cool đđ€Ł âŠ!
@@Dominator37 What an amazing comment, you are "awesome". đ€Ł
I love this! The Indy 500 seems even more exciting when a Nascar regular participates
I haven't watched it in years but I am for sure not going to miss this one. It could be historic to see Kyle kissing on those bricks.
When Robin Miller (Rest in Peace) was so adamant for Larson to get a shot at Indy, that's saying something. Wishing Kyle nothing but success this month. I think he definitely recognizes the 500 is all about precision and any bold risks must be very calculated. I think he'll do just fine, and hopefully keeps coming back in the years ahead. Go Kyle đ
Larson doing the double should make for an interesting race day. I hope he does well.
He actually has the potential to win both! It will definitely be fun to watch
Go Kyleđâ„ïž Stay safe.
If you give Kyle Larson 30 hours of practice, you'd better believe that he will put that car up front. He's that talented
If he's that talented then he wouldn't need 30 hours đđ
@@3120DownForceman, you really understood his commentđđ€Ą
Danica raced up front too. Lol
Yes sir

Go young money. We're a hundred percent behind you
would love to see a Nascar vs Indy car, say top 15 drivers from each series, one oval track, one track race, be fantastic
So impressive to see his talent
Go Larson! đđ
The paint job (or wrap) on Kyle's car really pops. Blue & Papaya orange is a great color combination. And he's running DW's old #17 when he raced the Tide Monte Carlo for Hendrick.
Itâs like hunter orange itâs almost too bright lmao
Ricky Hendrickâs number đ
I hope they put a good car under him that is set up right.
Think about how many miles Kyle Larson is gonna drive in one day.
1000
1100, Charlotte is a 600-miler
Same amount as the other drivers that have done the double
Wherever you end up, weâre excited in Sac town, canât wait to
Kyle is the most talented driver in America right now, and the most versatile driver in the world right now.
Shane van Gisbergen: Am I a joke to you?
â@@abinterslick when will he race in a sprint car here? Hopefully, soon as he's done that more than stock cars
@@abinterslick Yes, compared to Larson he is a joke
He is definitely the most overrated and overhyped driver in the world
@@larryhenderson2319 Over-rated, no. He succeeds in everything he does. Doubt he finishes in the top 10 in Indy this year, but given the chance to continue with Indy, he can DEFINITELY be successful. He qualified for the 500, right? Not even mildly close to easy if you've never driven an Indy car before. Over-hyped though...yeah, I guess I can agree with that. I'll tell you what though...people are excited to witness his ascension in motorsports. I know that I myself, have NEVER in my 53 years, seen talent this good, across multiple forms of racing.
That firesuit is fire
Master of the patterns and cycles.
Can we get 30mins practice Highlights for every day pls. Than yall would be goated
I love Larson and am excited for him to run, but this may have been the dumbest video to put âmust-see highlightâ on the thumbnail.
The interviewer spoke of 'practice laps' being common in Nascar, Kyle did not correct him. At most Nascar races, you qualify, then race, with zero practice!
There may be exceptions, but the old days of a 'practice session' a la Indycar are long gone!
They coined a phrase back in the 1990's about some rookie being the "flavor of the month". I believe they stole it from Baskin-Robbins. There have been several. T/he first was Steve Kinser, then Jack Hewett. There have been others, like when a Danica first ran there. Even though it doesn't last the whole month like it used to, Kyle is definitely the 2024 "flavor of the month".
Gotta love the helmet!
Right on Kyleđđđđ
Good interview. đđ»
My opinion and im sticking with it. You dont make it in Racing untill you have Raced the Indy 500
Good luck "Wheel Man"!!
use Tony and talk to other racers as much as u can, that will help u the most Kyle!
Sucks it's not on tv
Yung Money...show 'em where the name came from...
Go McLaren!!
Getting enough seat time between now and race time will be the key. He can drive anything else why not an Indy car? I bet the amazing grip that these cars have is something different for him to get used to and know just how far he can push the car before it breaks loose. He will have to have a few spinouts to find that out. I have all the faith in the world in his ability, it's just the time crunch. I was there once and unless you are there for the parties and the atmosphere you can see the race better via camera. We ended up in the motorhome enjoying the a/c doing just that the time I was there! It would be historic to see Kyle kissing those bricks. Which by the way are Trimble bricks that the whole speedway used to be paved with and were made not but a mile from where I live. Only a 'Historic site plaque' remains where the brickyard plant that made them was once located. As long as Kyle is racing I will be watching with my Larson t-shirt on.
Im still worried about him.i know he races alot of races.this is very different
good to see callum Ilott back he needs a full time seat again
next shane van gisbergen in indycar đđ
Canât wait for May 26.
Go Motormouse Go!
Great.!
Dillon Welch has to let on like he is good friends with Kyle and on the
High Limit payroll.
Heâs not going to put his car up front. Driving an Indy car isnât easy
Y'all love Kyle Larson more than your IndyCar drivers.
Brings attention to
For me, he's another American in the race. Like that or not.
Would say he took couple Tylenol after last night
Weird seeing a rookie larson
NASCAR driver successfully turns left again. Stop the presses.
Although Kyle is a giant in motorsports he still looks like a little boy
"Laps?"
Kyle is way too aggressive but i think he will be fine. Not a fan of him in the cup side cause he make too much bold moves.
Me too
I think he realizes Indy Car is a different kind of racing he's used to. Bold moves going 220 around an oval will get you a piece of the wall at Indy.
Making bold moves is why heâs a winner. You win by racing, and not by taking in the scenery hoping the driver in front of you makes a mistake.
what cup guys do you like
@@keytothewall exactly, nascar is a sport where moves like that are meant to me made. People these days cant handle cars even getting near each other for some reason
Go HONDA!
Exactly!
So, how long we betting he last, 10 laps, 20, maybe 30
Donât sleep on Kyle Larson, just sayin
Who knows. People have done well doing the double
He would last a lot longer than you would
Kyle, fresh off of wrecking a privateer's sprint car worth his last $50K, jumps into a $9M Indy car the next day. I hope you left him your back up car, spare parts, prize money you cost him, and trailer, before you left the track, Kyle.
$9M for the year,, cars don't cost that much
DIdnt know he was the only driver racing the 500 this month smh....
You big mad huh?? đđ

He's the only one racing 1100 miles on May 26th. So I'd say that's newsworthy.
The Rookies are the story on the opening day of practice as often as not. Even the Rookie who isn't quite a typical rookie.
