  • New additions are coming into the shop. A new 10x54 mill and a sheet metal shear with some associated tooling.

Nice score! That looks like a great mill, and that shear is awesome!

Thanks. I am excited, however I have to wait a while to play with them. The concrete is getting poured for the new workshop tomorrow, so I am still a month or two away for the final home for this. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Awesome, too cool. If you ever get around to the shear, I have a back gauge and a set of support arms that may fit.

Thanks Scott. The shear came with a pile of parts that I didn't show, and it appears that the support arms and back gauge are there. However, I don't know if they are all there. I may hit you up if I get it running, since I have never run one of these before. Thanks.

Congratulations, RJ! That's one heck of a haul you got. Maybe check with Adam or Stan about that pump shutting off like that. On a machine that heavy the only thing I would be worried about with those leveling feet would be stability if you have something really heavy on the table. Interested to hear what the general consensus is on that though.
    Best wishes,

Thanks Tom. I have always seen them in catalogs, but everything that I have ever run has been 'solid' mounted to the floor. I just don't know if they will introduce any chance for vibration or anything? I am sure that the mill was running before on them, so who knows. The shear is just a distraction for a cheap price. It will be very low on the 'to do' list for a while.

    Sweet deal on the equipment.
