    I hated the track pad in my 1st month... after a month... i developed muscle memory... I could navigate the screens effortlessly--at most times, without looking at the screen. After 3 months, I prefer it over my Highlander's touch screen and my older RX350's joystick. It's just a matter of breaking old habits and adapting to the new.
    What is a major flaw for me is.... there is no where to conveniently store my sun glasses....

      ya, it doesn't fit my fat sunglasses. I put my regular glasses there.

    So here in India, the car's a full Japan import. However, on the F-Sport variant we only get front seat heating & no cooling. To compensate we get a panoramic sunroof, the largest in a car I have ever seen! covers almost the length & breadth of the interior cabin seamlessly without any physical roof. The sad part is the pricing though...Just over 100,000 USD for it.

      For that price you could buy a super car, don’t bother with Lexus, buy home grown cars!

    The 2018 model looks mor sportier at front bumper. The headlight follows the LC500. I almost bought NX but instead the RC350 caught my eyes and been almost my daily drive.

    (2.45) Saw a woman in a tight upmarket shopping centre subground carpark in a rich part of our most livable city with a Lexy SUV like you've been testing, and re the auto-hatch, said driver did big $$$ damage when it smashed into the roof. Schadenfreude? Well a little. I see that some recent 'cars' have adjustable rates & heights, & even hear that sensors can detect roofs or obstacles in order to obviate 'clangers' similar to that I've just described. Not sure if Toyo/Lexus have it yet, but if not, now pretty soon is my best bet.

    That removable pad in the centre console is a MIRROR, which should have been mentioned as a feature given the nature of these reviews. Answer cortesy of Google.

    Lexus IS not alone in having a restricted rear view out the back window in their suv. Maybe one day the manufacturers in general might replace the rear view mirror with a full time rear view camera.

    • @KidKingdomHearts

      david lawton Cadillac already did that. And it works much better then a traditional rear view mirror

    it's nice vehicle but I think that little overpriced. very reliable and comfy seats with nice exterior design but 48k for f sport nx ? limited rav4 is 34k so question is what's worth 14k in the car ?

  • @Darkender1988
    @Darkender1988 Před 6 lety +23

    Wait wait wait, there is absolutely no way this competes with the Velar or the Q5... it's much smaller... and not in the same price bracket either. Not even close

    • @vkdlvkdl
      @vkdlvkdl Před 6 lety +12

      Darkender1988 It doesnt compete with Velar, I agree with you there but it does compete with Q5.

    • @bickerin
      @bickerin Před 6 lety +11

      you're right with those points... but you'll look and feel 20 years younger driving the NX300 F Sport than a Q5. My brother-in-law has the SQ5 and when we both show up to parties... My NX gets all the attention...

    • @dr.w4670
      @dr.w4670 Před 6 lety

      Darkender1988 Yes, it does compete with the ugly Q5, but not with the Velar, thats right! Easy to look it up
      Velar = 4,80, Q5 = 4,65 like the NX 😉 and also the X3 and GLC and so on, QX50 ...

    This is an impressive vehicle but I also don't like that grill and sadly it is a design element on many Lexus vehicles. It reminds me of an overgrown goatee. On the Toyota side of things I was really impressed with the styles and gill options on many of the vehicles in 2019 line up but the Lexus side is really lacking. You would have thought it would have been the other way around. Thanks for the review but this car is not for me. I guess I am not the target market for this vehicle anyways and I am more than happy with my C-HR besides it is expensive enough living in Southern CA without having to deal with a car payment for a luxury SUV like this. You do get that legendary Toyota quality though.
