Following failed Trump assassination attempts was a hobby for me for a while. Some of them were hysterically funny for the sheer incompetence involved (would have stopped being funny if they actually succeeded, but still...).
The first week or so he was in office there was a whole bunch of them. I think my favorite was the woman who was apprehended dangling upside down by her shoelaces on the White House gate trying to break in to kill him. Mind you, this is the second time she had done this. You think after a while she would learn and switch to Velcro;-)
Then, you have the guy that actually got inside the White House that insisted he had to give a book to Trump. The Secret Service found the knife inside the book. Yeah, and we wonder why Trump fears books;-)
On a more serious note, I think the man has probably had more in person death threats than other recent presidents based on the frequency of the assassination attempts that used to be reported. In all probability, they're still happening at about the same frequency-they're just not reporting the less successful ones anymore. The most interesting recent one I've heard is the Navy SEAL who said he was coming for Trump and then was going to commit suicide by cop. That want to be a assassin disappeared after making a lot of headlines in my Google newsfeed. There is nothing funny about that one obviously. And then there was the guy they pulled a multi-state alert on because he robbed the cops of a whole bunch of guns, put up a Manifesto online, and led them on a merry chase to Washington.(pretty sure this one got caught eventually) Some more serious people are starting to notice Trump in a not good way is my point. I would be afraid of being poisoned if I were in his position too.
