10:20 pm in Queensland, Australia and once again I found joy in watching another of your videos. Humanity could learn some fine values from you sir Buckin Billy.
BE KIND! (I keep that written on my truck visor) Needed to remember to be nice, real bad day today, friends. I came back for this. Thank you for this video. Your craft is inspiring. Your personality is engaging. I'm glad to be here. I could pick any video and have this reaction. You're a gem and I am grateful for you. Thanks.
Been along time since I use to split wood by hand but I burnt wood for heat over 20 years. That is alot of wood over the years but those days are gone just not able to do it anymore. Almost 62 years old and have had 4 surgeries on my back. Seeing this sure brings back memories of those older days though. It's nice to see someone that still knows how to care for and use axes.
That wedging trick works wonders and can really save you hide in a pinch! I’ve done it on loose heads on old handles and it tightened right up! Love to you and the family❤️
BBR, that Axe is simply wicked! All natural that you are doing the flick w an authentic HB out on Van Island. The life Sir! Well lived! Thanks for all the positive vibe!
Buckin I just wanna say thank you for all you do on this channel you bust your ass for everyone that watches you it really seems you want to share your knowledge and you are very thankful for your subscribers you have changed the way I look at a lot of things buckin that means a lot keep em coming buckin
Beautiful man, beautiful soul, beautiful way to start my Thursday. Happy day army! Love the tip for cutting off the sides to allow the wedge in deeper. Could have used that trick on my 4lb Evansville Tool
Good day Billy bucking Ray. Like you stated in one of your videos. I’m not to good with technology also 🤣. I’ve been watching your videos along side August’s. and I’ve been trying to leave a comment. Well hopefully I’ve made it. I just wanted to say . It’s absolutely fantastic to watch you and your videos ... for a young arborist like myself, ( 55 ) your information is awesome and let me tell you, it’s greatly received. The chainsaws the climbing the little tricks of the trade learned over years experience is just awesome. And the axe videos. Truly awesome. You and August are a great inspiration to me here in 🇬🇧 UK. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK. peace n love.
Thanks for the show this morning Buckin. Sweet axes buddy and man I miss you and your moms music with the videos. Sometimes I hope back to some of your other videos and just listen, the words are so peaceful. Thank you so much Buckin and hope all are well in the Buckin Army. Rock on Brothers and Sisters Rock on. 🌲❤🌲✊
That Ash handle looks amazing. I have thought this for a while but Buckin' you make splitting wood by hand look so easy however I think it is all because you know what you are doing. Love the tips on hafting axes you have an abundance of knowledge to share and are honest when you do not know the answer
Buckin thanks for the great videos keep up the good vibes and great content, the world needs more guys like you brother. Love your friends Willis, Hernandez and Whitehouse from California.
Very positive channel, subbed for sure sir! I was a Asplundh man for almost 5 years, loved and hated it. I wouldn't trade the experience I have now for nothing.
I did a little axe splitting when I was younger but now rely on the wood splitter as the old shoulders do not take to axe splitting any more. Good to see the axe splitting survives.
Sadly, NOW I’m too beat up from 22 years of Rugby to safely use even a small hatchet, but in my day I was death on maul & axe handles! I sure WISH we’d had CZcams & BBR, back when I was spending every available weekend, camping all over Arkansas, and enjoying real wood fires for cooking and just sitting around, batting the “stuff that’s not shinola..” So, understanding that different members of YOUR army like different content, please keep on with the hanging, hafting, de-rusting, and etc. ALL the different tools! (not to pay short shrift to the power-saws, they’’re fun too!) Anyhow, peace, love, & kindness to ALL, espec. the newbies! Thanks for the great tips, BBR, keep ‘em flowing!❤️😁👍❗️
this is great an i know folk like this content even tho it doesnt make sense view wise for me .. but i have always said i am a man of service .. love wins
Hay buckin I was cleaning out my garage yesterday and found this motor it says eagerbever by McCulloch not sure of the cc but it looks like it all there except half the carb I don’t know if it was a saw motor or a weed Waker do u know where I can get parts to get it running I’m in Monroe Michigan
Hope you soldiers of kindness are well in your lives. Buckin today i’ve watched this video on my way to and from work and really enjoyed it 👍🏻 Then..... i gets home and the first thing that’s pops on my instagram is you toootin your harmonica 😍 my day can’t get any better 🥰 Thank you for all your love you send to the Buckin Army ✊🏻 Drift on brother
End of the work day for me but not the end of the day. A few minutes to relax with our buddy Buckin. Well friends, it's time once again to enjoy the longest days, summer solstice. Celebrate whatever way you can in whatever fashion with whatever music and whatever delectables you enjoy. Be kind to yourself during these long days. Some of us have a tendency to over do it. Love wins... And I'm grateful to alive. The urban jungle of Pittsburgh has many beautiful trees. I'm praying the greeness of the leaves reflect peace into the hearts of all those who witness their glory.
If you see this Buckin, House Handle out of Cassville MO is a pretty darn good handle manufacturer. Not sure what shipping runs, take care, thanks for all you do
GCarter is right! Thanks for putting some of your music in the video! I think Mama Buckin taught Grace Slick a thing or two! Whoever recorded you guys should get a shout out too! Well done!
Buckin' I love the song Woodman, never gets old! I love my vintage Plumb and Sager Chemical double bits on good old hickory. I have a single bit unmarked I bought at a big box store, had a rough fiberglass handle on it. Beat my hand raw for ten years, until I was 27 years old and I rehung the head with a Links Hickory fawn's foot. My favorite handle to date. I also have a vintage 3 1/2 lb Collins, single bit with a straight shafted Links handle. I have served me well. I have split cord after cord after cords, with my beloved vintage axes. That being said I wandered off a little and found the Fiskars X27 and Husqvarna S2800 splitting axes. I'm now a hybrid guy. Fiberglass axes have come a long way. They ergonomic, great functioning splitters and feel good in the hands. Husqvarna fiberglass axes are made by Gardena I believe. I like the Husqvarna S2800 with a 27 1/2 inch handle and 5.07 lb head Its a great axe. I do like the hefty ones.
G'day bucking and army hope all are doing well that was a nice looking axe crazy to think I had the exact same head think mine was a 5 pound head but i made my self a 26 hickory wedge banger . Stay well and keep spreading the love everyone 🌲
I like your personality, love the vids , I fractured my lower back and it slipped outta place but after a year I'm able to do more I been cutting trees have lots of big dead alder, from tennis, Washington, but Yea learning on my stihl 029 I'm only 26 so it sucks having weak back and hung ho like syco when in work mode worked at largest horse training center for got years till it broke my vertebra, and got addicted to ur visa cause your personality is like the horse trainers, and court system and my neighbors have harassed me constantly cause I'd ride down to dope hit on my road at one on dirtbike but haven't been there in four years and cops and neighbors still duck with me so I kinda hate humans but dam I love ur persona.......I'd go cut more but no ones home , and my dads a drunk so love being around people with sober good attitude that's not a sissy
Hey Buckin'! Great to see you hittin' the skins! Hey, what are some things to do when you're hanging an axe and things are just not going well with the hang? Are there ways to correct a hang that's not going well or is it best to ditch out and start over? Keep up the great content. Your work is a gift!
Have watched a ton of you videos, and have found that you are an amazing person. I contacted gripo to get me a splitter like you have, and they do not ship to the U.S. dagone it. I live down in Va. and have 4 tall pines in my back yard. One is a bad leaner right towards the house, and the bark is discolored from the ground to about 8 foot up on the lean side. All 4 is going to cost me over 4000.00 to just fall them to the ground. I have sawed down a lot of trees for fire wood. I thought maybe buying the equipment and doing it myself, and just taking baby steps on learning the ropes, knots, using a life line, and the right way to climb and the saftey that comes with toping a tall tree. Not scared of heights, and have repelled a lot. Im thinking do my research and take 4 or 5 mouths to learn what I need to too do it safley. What do you think? I would like to see what your take is on an oregon electric saw weather it would be just to limb out a tree. Oh, and Im giving you a new nickname that you well deserve. BUCKIN PAUL BUNYAN.
More CZcamsr should be like buckin!! Just be themself and love what you do. Not for Money or anything. Just do what you want and just say what you want.
You read my mind because I was just splitting some white oak the other day and tend to over strike. I wanted to ask if you’ve ever heard of or tried the Allagash Cruiser from Brant & Cochran in Maine? Also what do you think makes a good splitting axe? I use a cheap polymer handle maul for breaking up the big stuff but for making firewood size I think something lighter and more precise would be the way to go.
Saludos desde bs as argentina.
hey bully what angle do you use on the top plate of yer powersaws? i been running 35 deg. and it seems to do well, might try to swap it to 45deg. using it for bucking hardwood, gonna see if it makes or breaks it soon. hah. keep up the great vidjas
couple weeks back you used a metal 'ring wedge' in an axe. did you cut the wood flush with the top of the axe in that one? (couldnt find the vid again) i pounded a ring in with the shaft proud above the axe and had to try clean up some split ends. thanks
Have you ever melted a bunch of parafin wax and dipped your axe heads in it? An old guy diwn the road swears by it. Supposed to help with heads getting stuck, the easy of release and maintaining the finish. My grandpa would wax his and a few guys around hear use cooking spray because its easy to carry around and apply on site as need be. Im just getting into playing with axes, mostly due to your vids and was interested if you had heard of these practices? Keep on keepin on brother. Neil from Iowa, US.
Split some Doug fir in my time. Easter red oak with no knots splits much the same. 6lb maul makes easy work. I just wish our Eastern hickory varieties split that easy.
What a treat to hear Momma Buckin’ singing. Hope you are having a great day, Buckin’! Stay well, everyone! Be kind. ❤️

Morning everybody. A little blood pumping action and some good music to start the day. Love yas
Good splitting Buckin! Keep on cutting Buckin!

Hi buckin im 16 and I want to learn some saw tips and tricks also how to fall trees better do u ever come close to Spokane washington?
Sha-klank!! LOL - Love it!
Split some Doug fir in my time. Easter red oak with no knots splits much the same. 6lb maul makes easy work. I just wish our Eastern hickory varieties split that easy.
