Billy, your mama sure had a way with words that made ‘em sink in deep and carry with you. “ you don’t look at the color of the hand that’s pullin you out of the ditch”. Fine woman that spoke those words, the world needs more people like her these days.
Hi buckin billy ray, apologies its only today me and Elen watched this vid (were bit behind on watching your vids) been busy with nice weather we been having last week. You made her the happiest girl ever when you mentioned her a few times in the vid. So for that I’d like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Keep up the amazing content you provide for all of us, I’ve learnt so much from you as well! Thank you bucking. Stay safe everyone and be kind!
Folks that havent been injured in some way have no idea what a daily pain can do to a person. So much of what you said rings true. From the leaning stick to not standing still.... Im 51 yo. Work for myself. I built OVER 2,500 FT of fence laat year (2021). 90% of which is by me alone. All with no cartilage left in my wrists or my knees. You can literally hear my bones grinding. Its feb 2022, in about a week ill allready have 500 ft built. Love your message Billy Ray. I practice this daily , did so before i found your videos. Will till the day im gone. To not practice this feels so unnatural it would cause me to loose sleep. Do right Help others. Not for a reward, just cause its the right thing to do!
I guess im asking the wrong place but does any of you know a method to log back into an instagram account? I was stupid forgot my password. I would love any assistance you can offer me
Hi Buckin. I can't believe I'm just now seeing this video. You have hit home for me on the back pain, I got hurt as a young man, I had my kids young and at home. Ended up getting a full back fusion, they picked bone chips out of my spine. Not whinning just tellin the story. I was out of work for 3 years. I am blessed with a wonderful wife that took up the slack when I was down. Until you've had that pain you really don't understand how the standing and sitting can affect you., doing a simple choir like washing dishes is a struggle. I had to work hard to get back to work to support my family. I guess it's true if it don't kill ya, It will make you stronger. I'm really impressed with your stick. Gonna find 1 for someone that needs it now, and make 1 for me now. Its got to be great relief. I was blessed it all worked out for me as I retired as a construction laborer thanks to Jesus. The key is to keep moving. I love swinging axes and hammers, and I still do it as I burn wood also. Can't see myself ever stopping. Love your channel and think your a good and honest man. This old dog has learned many tricks from you! Thanks Jack.
With the age of this video I dont imagine Buckin will see this but I have been dealing with the same back and joint issues described by him for the last 24 yrs. I was 30 at the time of my accident, it was life changing to put it simply and I didnt know anyone with similar issues to discuss things with that would understand the difficulties it created daily but BBR is telling it straight and I eventually found relief in the same positions that he did. If you have chronic pain issues dont give up and try these as well as any other ideas you see since no one thing works for everyone. Keep trying until you find exercises or therapies that do work. They are out there. Thanks for sharing your ideas BBR.
We already know Exactly what Kind of Day it’s going to be when Buckin’ is Hitting the Drums 🥁 and Symbols at the Beginning of the Video. I still can’t Believe that we Don’t have to Pay for this kind of Entertainment. It really doesn’t seem too Fair for the Other folks who are Missing out. 🙄 🤔 🧐
Appreciate the pain tips with the leaning stick. Gonna try it. Felled my last firewood tree Monday. Had spinal surgery Wednesday. Mine was a bad disk in my neck. Dr. says not cutting, bucking, or lifting for 8 weeks. Blessed with family and friends who will cut split and carry any wood I need and any other chores. That said I won't sit inside watching T.V. while they work. I'll find me a leaning/walking stick and at the very least keep them company. while they lend a hand. So blessed with the people in my life. Your motivation and energy are inspiring. Thank you for sharing.
Accepting niceness as a good way of living for some is an easy thing to do but it’s harder to put in into practice and even harder to get others to do it. Goodluck buckin.
Hi Buckin really love you. I get it. When I broke my back in April 1984 the way I go through life different. I will never complain because I am just happy to be able stand on my own two feet. It didn't brake me it made me a better man. I know where you come from. Life is great, peace and kindness to all.
Heck Yeah! Been near 50 years ago that Pa taught me to sharpen the double bit for splitting on one side, and for cutting on the other side. Been an axe lover all my life.
I have started watching your videos Friend and I have to say.., you are the man BRO !!! I used to clear timber in southwest Georgia when I was a young buck, and to be honest .., I miss it. I turned 52 on April 3rd, and I may still go back to layin em down. It's an HONEST livin, with a sense of accomplishment. I love my axes and power saws, I keep em sharp, and like to swing. God bless Friend !!! Please keep the positive vibes comin !

I just seen this video. I've never had an injury like yours buckin. But I'm the sort of person that cant stand still and always feels like they must learn on something. This idea of yours is great! If for any reason I needed to stand about for a long time I would love one of these.
Hi Buckin and Friends! Hope everyone is doing well and hanging in there. Buckin you got me hooked on Husqvarnas, found a old Husqvarna 55 last week and used it for 2 days and loved it. Yesterday I found a 61 and a 371XP on craigslist. They are a bit rough but I got them running and cant wait to use them this weekend. Buckin your talk in this vid is spot on, thanks for all you do. Everybody stay safe and love one another!
Buckin hope you had a great dinner with the family. New work bench view was a nice change. But you don’t need to make it permanent. Nice sharpening job Billy. Have a great day!
Happy Birthday Buckin'! Love your enthusiasm and attitude. Watching your channel helps me bring some of that into my own life. I just picked up a Walters Black Diamond axe head to put together my first axe build in the workshop. Thanks for everything, I truly appreciate the inspiration!
I get what you say , I started work at 12yrs old , three jobs , one before and two after school , then I went on a tree nursery , that went west so I got work on the railway tracks , the government couldn't leave something that works alone , so , I went to work for a council cleaning the streets , I worked as I always did , so last year the body said ok , 50 years of what you do is enough . Knees are wrecked , the chest COPD , all from working and I wouldn't have it otherwise . I tried to do a job where when I went home something was better for the world around me. I do bits now for as long as I can but i appreciate what you're saying . You do your job cos you get a good feeling , you don't whine about how crunched up you feel , get on with it . Good video 👍🇬🇧
Buckin I took you words “BE KIND “” and say that everyday to myself when someone cuts me off while I’m driving !! I’m new to the channel !! Love it !! Happy birthday my friend !!
Happy Birthday Buckin' … I could watch you build axes all day. You have inspired me to try a build one on my own, I'm also working on a couple of saws thanks to you.
I understand! After 2 major back surgeries I am fused with rods and screws from L4-S1 and cannot sit or stand for more than a few minutes so I gotta move or lie down so thanks for the great idea!! When I go to the store I grab a cart in the parking lot if possible so it can carry my purse and I can LEAN. So here is a couple good things I learned that may help you. I use a seat cushion in the car with an opening in the back (or pulled forward a bit) so the bottom of my spine is suspended, it takes pressure of the spine and the cushion absorbs the pressure/shock and I tip the seatback back an extra notch to relieve vertical pressure, it helps lots. Also discovered a gadget called the "Low-Bak Trax" for easy stretching my spine and back of my legs (it is all connected) and it is amazing, please trust me on this, it works wonders. It only takes a couple of minutes and gives your disks a chance to get blood flow back in and re-cushion themselves, it's huge (the gadget is small, the relief is huge). Anyone with back pain should have one. Would be great for preventative measures for sure also. Your latest big fan.
My husband uses a cane after an accident ,he carves his own for the last 30 years so he has many to choose from as he walks out the door and im sure he like the way you like the way it has found you because that what he says about his , ttyl friends :)
