it looks great Karrie. I built custom furniture and upcycled old things for years, so if you would allow me to chime in here. The actual correct way for the top would have been to trim down the edges of each board so they were straight and square (table saw or circular saw with a straight edge clamped on). Then join together with wood glue and clamp together tightly. (leaving no space to fill) Remember to always wipe off glue that comes out before it dries. Then when the topis one solid piece, attach to the top and screw from underneath-not through the top. Using filler is for small issues, not for a replacement for the wood in large areas. You have learned alot- look how far you have come!
I can truly appreciate your honesty sweetie. However, I hope you know that you do great work and the majority of your subscribers love your projects. In general I guess I'm saying that you need not be so critical of your hard work. Give yourself more grace! You truly ROCK! BLESSINGS ALWAYS ❤
I dint lyje the legs bruin
Paint them the same collor pebbel
On a piece like this Karrie, try screwimg in from underneath the top, from inside the cabinet below the top instead of through the top where you will see the screws, the holes even if you use wood filler and sawdust. It turns out alot better from screwing from below. Learned this from my husband. Hes a carpenter and handyman.
The way I learned in school (did a woodwork class all through lower and high school) was to use wood glue and sanding dust now saw dust as its finer, then when you sand it it sands smooth and also stained fine from what I remember. The saw dust is rough so that's why there's extra texture anyways, but seriously Karrie, it's amazing. All of your projects are!
So I actually used to be a mechanic for big cranes and I had one of the little rolling stools and always called it my roly-poly. They are GAME CHANGERS!!🤣🤣👏🏻👏🏻
There is no way I would be giving thos piece to anybody. Definitely keep it for your dining room. It's beautiful.
I love it! You should keep it for your dining area. I know it’s bigger than the one you have but this one is so beautiful.
That color 😍
Just beautiful, please keep it give your sister n law yours in your dining room!!!
Gorgeous!!
Thank you thank you
You are an inspiration above all inspirations. I shopped my house and found a great shelving unit being wasted in a closet. Now it’s being utilized in my kitchen hallway and I can’t thank you enough for your wonderful personality and great jobs and ideas.
Have a wonderful, blessed day .
For the top you could try using glue and a clamp to pull them closer together to minimize the void between the two pieces. Also, adding a sheet of veneer would be an option for someone that wanted a seamless top. Or they could use a table runner to cover it up very affordably. I don’t mind character in a piece personally.
what a genius idea with the hydraulic lift!!
You should watch the furniture flipping teacher she really does get them perfect and doesn’t really use fancy tools. I think it’s because she does spend a lot of time on a piece as she sells them. I know she sands quite a few times going down to a really fine grit paper.
I've watched her a few times. I think the biggest thing is she's able to sell her pieces for a lot more than I can, so she's able to put a lot more money into them. I think the market for use furniture here is not anywhere near where it is by her. I totally wish I could make a living flipping furniture because I would all day long . But the unfortunate truth is, this cabinet would probably only sell for fifty to seventy-five dollars in my area. And just time and materials alone, it's not even worth it.
It turned out soooo pretty! I couldn't help but think the entire time that this buffet would make an amazing aquarium stand! I love my large fish tank and this is so much prettier than the wooden stands I've seen!
Oh my gosh it would 😍
Wow a hundred times WOW
I would keep it and put it in your dining room. It’s stunning 😍
Love watching you flip furniture. You need to invest in a cordless caulking gun, it is a deal breaker. The motorcycle lift was a great idea along with the stool. You are fabulous !!!! ❤❤
I know it's been four days. I was wondering about the top. It turned out just beautiful. Awesome job.
Karrie Lynn. You did a great job. It looks great. Love it. 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I absolutely love your makeover videos. When my son’s bunk bed broke I took it apart and kept the built in dresser. It needed a new top and I was able to take one of the steps to make it but it needs some type of stripping around it to make it over. Thank you for your knowledge. This will help alot
Hi Karrie, just a suggestion when using the framing lumber that has the rounded edges. If you do a cut the lengthwise of the board on your table saw on each of the pieces you want to join and then join then together with glue and maybe some pocket holes or clamps it will most likely eliminate the seam for you. You might have to use a planer or sander to blend the top out but it will help a lot.
With your caulk gun maybe you need to push a bigger hole into the product bottle. I always use a nail or screw backwards to maximize the hole for product to come out. If it’s warm enough it should be a struggle keeping the product from going everywhere not the opposite. Looks great!
I love the cabinet. You should keep it it would look great in your house
re: the top- just use a runner on it!!! She’s a beauty!! 🙌🏼😘
It’s gorgeous colors specially with the legs
I like the top as well. Rustic works for me.
Beautiful cabinet. Top gives it character.
Hey Karrie 👋
The buffet is beautiful! You should put that in your dining room !
Turned out beautiful, putting on legs really set it off amazing work ❤,you should trade off this one for the one you have in your diniing room!.
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!
Turned out so beautifully. I would keep it for myself, lol. I’m positive your SIL will love this! ❤
Very nice. The top has charm with the imperfections.

I think it's beautiful it's very rich and classy looking but any ways really good job you're perfecting your craft !😊
The buffet turned out so nice.
Wow Karrie! That piece turned out so beautiful!!! I love the two tone and the braided front. I wouldn’t be able to give it up if I were you. Thanks for sharing ❤
The buffet turned out so beautiful. 🥰
That is gorgeous, Karrie! I love it! 😍♥️-Joanna
Glue boards together first , then fill it. It looks more smooth and finished
This is my favorite project you have done
I would definitely want to buy that buffet. It's gorgeous!
💙💙💙Oh my sooooooo pretty! Whoever gets this piece will be so happy! Great job!!!! Thank you for sharing!💙💙💙
The cabinet turned out beautiful!
OMG! You've got to keep it!!! Its stunning 😍 Swap it for the sideboard you have.
If i didn't live in England, I'd be begging to buy it off you.
Sooooo beautiful! ❤❤❤
They make specific drill bits that are for sinking screws. Plus the seam in the wood would be eliminated if you put the board together with biscuit joints.
GREAT JOB KARRIE!! 🥰👵🏽👍🏾
The piece turned out beautifully. Would love to have it for myself! 😊
It's beautiful! Honestly, I am always a sucker for wood tones, not paint (unless the wood is really ugly). This looks gorgeous though! Great job!
We need to get Ryobi or Dewalt to sponsor Kerrie for some new tools!
I love it!!! You did a great job! I love that the top and legs match! You have such an eye for this and the ability to make it happen! ❤
Gorgeous, I would love that in my dining room ❤
Wow! If I didn't live in California I would have bought it in a heartbeat! Just Beautiful Karrie! Wish you we're my neighbor.
MAN, this one is fabulous!!!! You have "the touch" LOL, really....
You need to get a table saw!!! U can remove those rounded corners off the wood and butt those edges up together and its smooth! I have not a doubt that u could do many more awesome projects with a table saw. Actually surprised u dont have one yet. bc u can do it girl. I always love your projects. love this piece! keep them coming
Love this piece! It would actually look great with your new headboard and footboard. But I know your on the hunt for a desk. Great job thou!👏🏻
I love this cabinet! Top and all. It looks antique! So beautiful!!❤
If the top was in good shape, you could of refinished it as well as a separate piece by adding legs. I've done this and it turned out beautifully! ❤❤
The buffet is beautiful! Nice job.
Knocked it out of the ballpark. Great transformation, Love it. Peace!
I wonder if the glue would still keep it's holding ability if it was soaked in warm water before use to help with easier application 🤔Just thought of this as I was watching! Literally adore you Karrie!!!! Like FOR REELZ! Your channel makes me happy and inspired everyday!!!!!😘
Amazing job as usual. Yoy are my favorite channel. Watching sonce yoyr little boy was toddling. Your daughter is beautiful. Husband is also so talented.
Oh wow Karrie!! 👍 Good for you to get that equipment!
Beautiful job can't wait to see your next furniture flip
You have a piece of Drexel Heritage furniture, which us a high quality line of furniture. I enjoy several pieces in my own home. It turned out sooo pretty the way you painted it.
There would never be a section of the corner trim sticking out from under the top in this quality of piece, just make your tops deeper with more overhang.
Karrie, keep it it's beautiful!
I hope you kept this piece! It is stunning!!! 😍
Absolutely gorgeous Karrie ❤ I would have a hard time letting it go.
Nothing that is made today is good quality - the older pieces are great - we have a dresser hubby and I bought 40 years ago used - he sanded it recently and refinished it cause one of my kids was using it - it’s back home now-it survived my three kids and my grandkids - quality matters- I think it would look great in the dining room😊
Love the step by step video thank you for showing us a great transformation!
Girrrl keep that for yourself it’s beautiful 😍 you’re very talented and patient I must say.
Karrie that buffet came out beautiful Great job !
Great job! Definitely a French country vibe. I use a belt sander on tops with wood filler issues. Going from rough to fine paper. I’m with you it’s hard to get that smooth finish.
Carrie I love your channel you are so good at what you do you are to hard on yourself and your project is beautiful as usual ❤
Oh WOW That really came out great. I think the top just looks aged. Very nice job once again 🥰🎨
it turned out beautiful !!! Great Job Karrie !!
Looks amazing 😊 you should keep it for your dining room
I think the cabinet looks beautiful! I love it!!
Beautiful job, you are getting better and better.
Karrie your hutch turned out so beautiful. I too hate using wood filler . I use drywall compound . It’s so much easier to work with

It turned out beautiful.
It turned out beautifully
I love older unique pieces like this with cool details. The paint color is really soft and pretty. You did a great job Karrie!
Wow what a transformation I love the color combo on it .. If I lived closer to you, I would buy it in a heartbeat, but I'm in Canada... You have a talent..
You do an amazing job om everything you do.
That turned out so nice. I love it. It looks so different. You made it look so much better than it was. You know what you are doing. I would definitely keep that somewhere in my house. The top can be covered with a runner. That’s no big deal. And you can decorate it with a lot on top. If I had rom for it I would buy it from you. My house is too little. But we’re wanting to move somewhere.
Oh my....stunning!
Aloha Karrie, your buffet cabinet looks so awesome!!! Love the colors you used!!!
