I don't understand how you can have such good quality and the YT algorythm hasn't hit you yet.
literally. like this is easily some of the best video and sound quality on a classic car channel
I thought the same, his videos have an incredible camera quality, angles, sound... He deserves much more attention.
100% been thinking this since the moment I saw the in car footage of the 2.1 RSR Porsche or the 935. Freakishly high quality, ultra rare footage.
i always wibder the same, Robbert takes some of the best footage of the automotive in youtube.
Agreed
Probably one of the most aggressive "vintage car" driving styles I've seen, dude was really working it, not just touring it around the track... Looks like a lot of fun.
Search... Kenny Brack GT40 Goodwood.
You're welcome.
These cars aren't as sophisticated as modern race cars. Much more primitive handling characteristics, it took a lot of driver skill to go fast with these cars. To wring out a lap as fast as possible, you have to drive like this. It's not a choice
@@danielandrews5315 Sure, no question there was more driver input required into going fast in the past, but when dealing with expensive vintage race cars, it is rare to see a driver actually push the car to it's limits... most of them "tour" around the track as if its' more of a novelty.
@@TheWestAspen I suspect the reason is twofold; number one the absurd amount of money that some of these vintage race cars fetch, most of them of course, in terms of actual parts and build value, and reproduction parts so more expensive to produce nowhere near unobtainium prices. Unfortunately the perceived values are manipulated to an extent. It's no different than art collectors who purposely bid high on certain pieces of work to drive the value up. They get their dick buddies in a circle jerk and decide to increase the perceived value at auctions by colluding, this is nothing new this goes back centuries) The second reason is that most of these guys are not really experienced enough to push the limits of the car, they can drive good enough but they don't have that next level ability. I can speak from experience while I was a decent Club racer and fared okay in the expert class, just to get to the next level in the expert class was above my paygrade, never mind the professional class... it's all relative...
@@danielandrews5315 exactement, c'est d'ailleurs du vrai pilotage 👍🏻
The sound is magical I bet after an endurance race you would hear that sound for days as the driver.
Traction control = accelerator
ABS = Brake pedal
Stability Control = Steering wheel
Masterful car control.
Wow!
The whole thing is a masterpiece but the downshift and even more so the overtake just at the top of Eau Rouge... Damn!
I felt my balls tighten with that overtake. Absolutely mental.
@@brett22bt crazy! Live for moments like that 😎
Harder than it looks too. Those gearboxes are fragile
@@cameronmmj9291 I bet.
Eau Rouge is the curve at the bottom of the hill, where he masterly overtakes the Chevron is called Raidillon
These videos are amazingly high quality, it's such a pleasure to watch. Thank you!
Give them a shout they really deserve it
This is the most critically underrated YT channel of all time
Incredible work! Everything about the video is truly breathtaking. Looking forward to the future of this channel
Lola T70s are absolutely my favourite. Wow, what a ride, thanks for uploading!
Mad respect to the driver!! 🤘 😎 That is a wild ride, it almost floats around the curves, right on the limit, and the quick pass after eau rouge was sick
Love watching these videos. I love watching old ones of SENNA and others
Judging by his helmet, I think the driver is Olivier Hart, son of the owner David Hart. Both father and son were brutally quick historic racers!
ironically what you just described is exactly how it drives in forza horizon 5
I was driving down to Le Mans (2018 or 19) and in the distance in the rear view mirror I saw a green and white outline, I said to my Dad “I think a Lola t70 is coming up behind us”. A second or two later a thunderous roar then a Green T70 with white toe to tail stripes passes us then disappeared into the distance. We caught up with the driver at the service station at the Somme. The driver & passenger were good lads, we had a good chat with them. They were in a right mess, the Lola only had a vent window and the temperature in the car was about 40’C , they said they’d had enough and they were contacting a friend to organise flatbed to take them the rest of the way down to Le Mans.
The T70 was a GTD T70 built to 100% original blueprint FIA spec, the two guys were the owners, they’d had it built to full original specifications to go classic GT racing.
The excitement that I feel every time I see a new video from you…I immediately press play with the sound way up. This video touched an emotional string in me during this “ride along.” Thanks for giving us this experience.
The sound! The sound! The cinematography, the art direction. It feels like an IMAX
This guy isn't messing around! The driving is immaculate and the the way the car handles an sounds is perfection. This is the first video that I watched from this channel and I subscribed immediately.
Lola T70 one of my all time favorite race cars!!
Had a slot car t70 back in the day!!!!😀😀😀😀🚘🚘🚘🚘🚘🚘🏁🏁🏁🍺🍺
Robert, I feel amiss for having not yet complimented your work. I have no found no other content that truly captures the emotion of these classic racecars like you can.
Beyond the heroic drives and incredible tracks, your production lets the cars speak for themselves with minimal music and a lack of over-editing. You present superior video and ESPECIALLY audio quality in a way that I have simply not seen done. Please keep sharing these beautiful cars and historic races with us.
As myself an American, I'm thoroughly impressed with the *vigor* these vintage cars are driven at by the European drivers; as it gives a good indication of the noise, vibrations, struggles with the steering, and the speed of the cars going back in their heydays over 50 years ago.
Whereas in the US, similar or the same cars are, from most of the videos I've seen on YT, driven at speeds just a tad above parade pace on the US race courses.
Wasnt for lola you wouldnt have the GT40
Brutal! This is race car driving. Manually shifting by sound and feel, braking at the edge of lockup, sliding the corner, tirespin on acceleration, etc.
Speechless at 52 seconds he's on the grass!!
That pass on the outside on top of Eau Rouge!! Best onboard I have watched in a long time!
Absolutely on he edge insane, probably no traction control no abs, nothing but balls, and the art of driving in cars that seem so much more , real, much more beautiful, better sounding, than any of todays cars,
One of the best on-boards I've seen, like I was in the car. I could feel every shift. And as always, it's hard to beat that V8 sound. Great stuff.
This era of racing cars are just the most beautiful. Raw. Functional. Raw. And not to forget: Raw.
Awesome, simply awesome.
That is a race car, loud, mean, brutal and absolutely beautiful. I envy the driver.
instantly saved to my favorites ! beautiful video
Blast from the past - real work on the wheel, without computers and all that crap today. I'm glad I was part of that era. Thanks for sharing!!
Beautiful car! Great video, great audio, and great driving...
Thank you for sharing!
love the raw sound. hard to find such content elsewhere. keep it up.
What a sound.... Glorious!
Drove like it was built for. Well done sir!
I literally cannot describe how mcuh I love this videos♥️♥️
Those in-car sounds are amazing!
What awesome driving skills. What enormous power. I have goose bumps. Thanks for this experience!
Excellent work! Incredible how much steering movement there was!
Every one of your films are so alive!!! Such a visceral experience just in viewing alone. Superb quality, as seems to be the case with all you produce
Glorious!
That 2nd to 3rd shift looks like a handful! 😄
your videos are art. everything about this is so perfect.
What an absolute joy to watch. Great quality.
Sir, I thank thee for blessing us with this gem. Once again, you absolute legend. 🙏🏻
The most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen!
Absolutely mind bending the way these cars perform and so so amazing to see someone absolutely pushing it with a great camera. Kudos to you, hope your channel really blows up! If you consider some content talking about your collection I know I would be checking in constantly!
That car sounds incredible. Loved it.
Amazing driving.. the fearlessness through the dip and that pass on the right up the hill... insane.
Absolutely Amazing!!! Thank you so much for making and sharing this!! Man, looks like an absolute handful to drive to get top times out of this car.. Again, absolutely beautiful!!
Every video on this channel is just a gift. The quality of sound and video is insane. Nice work on the gears by the guy, gave it hell.
Always loved the T70s, what a beast! Great video!
The car sure is a handful to drive! Looks like almost no aerodynamic grip, only big fat tires doing the job. Awesome video, thanks!
I'm glad your channel is slowly but steadily growing! You make great content and that's not to mention your talent in driving. Keep it up, I know you're going to find major success off your passion for driving.
A stunning car and an amazing driver, perfect combination.
Your skills, beautiful cars, an amazing circuit and that fantastic sound track. Love the minimalism and letting those simple components do all the talking. Cracking stuff.
Goodness.. your vids are always Hollywood level of quality!! not just the video but the sound too!
This channel popped up in my suggestions and I have never seen anything like this before. The filmers creative eye + the talent of the driver + the beauty of the car = *chef's kiss*
I love the T70s, brutal machines and nice to look at. Seeing them driving by on videos doesn't do them justice - they're so fast and look like they take no small amount of strength to drive at speed and properly. Beautiful...thank you for the vid!
That intake sound is epic! What a car those Lolas were from that era. Small, light, big power!
Sooo goood that I found this channel!!!!!!!
Iconic car blasting around an iconic track. Can’t beat it. The T70 looks and sounds as good today as it did when it was new.
That design, that colour, that sound! That Lola is an absolute piece of art!
The effort and skill required to drive this beast is unreal. Absolutely phenomenal video. Thank you for producing and sharing. I was ‘on edge’ and loving it while watching.
Your YT channel is a real discovery. I look forward to watching your previous and future videos. A big 👍🏻s up
Damn! This guy shifts as fast as a modern dual clutch paddle shifter! Bravo for this video. Thank you for sharing with us.
Outstanding. The sound of the engine , the driver working hard on the steering wheel. Great video. Thank you. 🙏🏻🙏🏻😊😊👍🏻👍🏻
Wow! Amazing driving, amazing car, superb video footage. Sending all the love from Malaysia.
The sound of the motor is alluring! Like a symphony baby . Love the manual aspects of operating this beast! Old school power baby!
Thank you A LOT!!! Wonderful content you offer here. I had the chance to see these men (especially David Hart)drive this beast and his GT40 at Le Mans Classic… what a good pilot he is, and very spectacular!!!
Hij is weer super. Wat genieten dit!💪🏻👌🏻
Absolutely amazing!
Pure unadulterated driving with an amazing soundtrack and it's a Lola 🥰
Another great video, thanks! Man, this T70 looks like it LOVES to rotate on corner entry, getting oversteer on the way in most every turn! What a fast, but handful of car to drive!!
Sound ,sound ,sound. It´s amazing! Very wilde ride.
Driving cars the way there meant be. The true definition of performance. Incredible video. Keep up the excellent work 🏁🏁
Love the T70s! Thanks for the vid.
This is wonderful content, thank you 🙏
Dear lord this Lola. Can you imagine. Just giving it more and continues to go faster, trying to rip you out the cockpit. Merciless.
wow....his car control is exceptional...smoothly holding the line with all those steering inputs.
We'd never know how hard he's working if you hadn't posted this vid...THANK YOU
Que hermosísima máquina el Lola , es fantástico !!! Saludos desde argentina
This video is beautiful. Such great quality. 👍🏼
Thank you for this!!! My dad almost bought one of these a couple of decades ago. He has photos from the meet. Mom said, "no." Miss you pops!
Love at first sight. Instant subscription
Yet another masterpiece!
Great stuff, quality piece of film, you never see the struggle going on inside to keep the machinery between the greenery.
OMG! This doesn't even seem real at times. I wish I was there. Thank you for sharing!
Prachtig werk.. uniek en wat een geweld met de Lola van Hart
For some reason I find this content invigorating.. Reminds me of the sound track for the movie "Grand Prix" from the early 70's. Great stuff.
I could watch this all day, every day.
Still one of the best sounding race cars ever. And beautiful.
Extremely great driving sir.🙏
There isn't a sequence in automotive cinema I've seen that this doesn't beat. Visceral engine and transmission, grounded and authentic in its editing and production, it's almost like you can feel the grip on each wheel. The car, the track, the overtake all artistic excellence, good job
Still to this day one of the most handsome race cars ever.....the Bentley Speed8 being right there too.
incredible footage
That pass on top of Raidillon was incredible. Awesome video.
That in-car shot looks straight out of a film. Amazing job with the camera work and color grade!
So glad I found this channel 🤟
Thanks!!! Thank you so much! Please supply more of this thing!!!!! Mooreeee!!!!
Lovely car, beautiful video!
Great footage. many thanks for posting this
Superb, I love these!
You have just become my favourite content creator! Keep doing what you're doing!
The camera angle, the quality, shaking and blur make it look like a scene from a movie
Damn... that steering power!
If that was a sim video I would say it's played with keyboard, this is showing how violent it must be for your shoulders! Amazing driving, thanks for the show
Sounds incredible, nice driving.
Great video
This feels like I'm watching a movie that got the driving/racing right!!! Amazing footage man!!
