GenX kids were always left alone in the summer and we were always bothering our parents to tattle. #carmenqgollihar #originalcharacter #bothering #80snostalgia #brothersister
My mom told me to call only in an emergency. I called because I couldn't find the scotch tape. It was important to me because I wanted to wrap a gift for her 🎁 🤣
I was Mike and my sister was the tattletale. She constantly called mom at work just to get me in trouble… and it worked! When I should have been the one NOT in trouble for NOT calling because it was NOT an emergency. This was SO spot on! I was 14 in the summer of ‘85, so yep. It maths.
I can remember having a fight with my big brother and I shouted to him out the kitchen window as he was waking away and I slammed that window so hard it shattered it was at that moment we knew we fucked up lol 😂 I had to call my mum at work and tell her I smashed her kitchen window she was so mad boy did our backsides sting for week😂 and I was grounded for 3 weeks with no tv along with my brother haha good times 😂😂😂😂😂
My mom said we had to be sick, bleeding or dying to call her at work. I asked her, ‘what if we are dying and you don’t make it back in time?’ And she told me to call Jesus before I croak 😂😭
Oh my gosh! Yes! The prize in the cereal box was everything! When my older sister had to watch me, she would take the baby food jar lids for our younger sister and would pretend to crack her knuckles using it. Would scare the crap out of me! Lol, oh, how she used to torture me. Now when I bring the stuff up she'd do, she has amnesia. 😆
They definitely existed, big time... but everyone smoked so much we weren't waiting for 1 of our 2 10 min smoke breaks to light up. Everyone was basically in a constant state of cig-in-mouth at all times anyway, sonics not like the customers minded. No health code rules existed for restaurants except not to do it in the kitchen or as u brought the plates over (but half the people didn't listen to that anyway). Lol.
Lol! Our 13 and 15 year old daughters are still doing this! And on a landline phone even! They don’t get to have a cell phone till they can pay for it themselves, so we are old schooling it at our house. And I have gotten phone calls about petty stuff like this man many many times, and multiple calls in just one hour too! 😂
How are you so good at writing videos? You're just the best I've binge watch your videos all the time. So much every time I binge them, I know what's gonna happen.
Kind of funny how my '90s upbringing was so similar to the '80s up bringing because I lived out in the middle of nowhere tiny town North Dakota 😅 We As a family didn't have internet until 2003 when we moved.
Literally me and my big sister I was five in 85 and I would call my granny and my mama for everything she did "wrong" to me my sister hated summer lol I cried when my sister got dropped off to college the next year lol
My parents would only call them if someone was hurt or dying but I got a sibling who is disabled and will run away from home and the day I needed my parents they wouldn't answer the phone after trying multiple times so I ended up yelling for the neighbor to help
How can you be soo amazing you are my idol you put a smile on my face i love you soo mutch.
