Canon vs Sony With The SAME LENSES?! (7 Artisans EF SE Adapter Review)

- Until now, there wasn't a good adapter to use Canon EF lenses on Sony FE mount bodies with good video eye detect autofocus. Apparently the 7 Artisans EF SE adapter works like native lenses, let's test it out while answering photography questions.

Sony colors don’t look that horrible until you compare it to Canon, then you realize how bad it is.

The Canon lens on the Sony body has more vignetting in the corners, looks like Sony are doing some software lens correction in-body on their native lenses.
Sony skin tones are such soooo god awful lol. It’s a yellowish green disaster 😅. I’m saying this as a Sony user lol. But the features, autofocus and just about everything else is soooo good.
So, the Canon kind of looks natural and pleasing, then the Sony, all of a sudden, looks so much sharper with more toneh, but then starts looking over-produced, like an iPhone computing toneh-magic.
Crazy when you first switched from the canon lens on canon body to canon lens on Sony body I almost threw up 🤮 green tint and too many shadows in your face and skin tones ….
Your shirt is out of focus - I can't read Toneh well - it's blurry.

Integrated battery grip is for weather sealing. IF you want to send a camera to war, you need to keep the dust off all the contacts.

Been rocking the 7Artisans adapter with a Sigma 18-35 f1.8 on my Sony FX30 for over a year and it's brilliant. Has never let me down and by far the best wide zoom out there.
That lens adapter doesn't always stop down correctly in video. Also having to hold the button on the adapter down while attaching ef lenses is a pain. also sometimes video AF doesn't work at all until you remove and re insert the battery. At least on Sony a7 iii
Planar looked great when you were in that half inch sweet spot. Definitely did not stop down to f4.
