I have been struggling with lust for years, and been seeking assurance. There have been times that I’ve felt like giving up, but I kept going because I thought “Since Christ didn’t give up for me on the cross, I won’t give up on him”.

Thank you Jesus that you are my shepherd. Thank you Jesus that you make me lie down in green pastures. Thank you Jesus for leading me to still waters. Thank you Jesus for restoring my soul.
Thank you Jesus that lead me in the paths of righteousness FOR YOUR NAMESAKE. Thank you Jesus for preparing a table for me before my enemies. Thank you Jesus for anointing my head with oil. Thank you Jesus that my cup runneth over.
Thank you Jesus that goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life. Thank you Jesus that I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
This is how we rest in the Lord. Praise Him for all that He has already given you. When we take our eyes off ourselves and onto Jesus we are instantly wrapped in His love no matter what our condition.

The deception here is that most of us don't struggle, for example I always use the gluttony sin. Most followers and pastors are overweight for years and years being deceived that they have repented of this sin and genuinely have not. That is just 1 sin of many that will cause us to end up in hell. How can someone go on for years and not repent of something like that as a follower? It's because they have a false sense of salvation. I believe this is what the spirit is revealed to me recently. Many will say on that day Lord Lord. . ...

When Jesus died on the cross for our sins, he made a new covenant for his true followers. He was able to send the Holy Spirit to transform us to righteousness and conquer the flesh nature to set us free from the practice of sin, and it's desires. I think it is possibly even blasphemy against the Holy Spirit when people deny the power of the Holy Spirit to transform us to righteousness.
The Apostle Paul said that we are not in the flesh if the Holy Spirit lives in us.
2 Corinthians 10:3 Paul also tells us that we have been set free from sinful desires: "For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh."
    Isaiah 53:5 says:
"But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds WE ARE HEALED."
Before Jesus came, the law that people lived under could not conquer the flesh nature. That is why people had to sacrifice animals repeatedly.
The cleansing that God provides is not temporary. It is permanent. When he cleanses us from ALL sin, we are made righteous.
    Hebrews 7:27 says:
"He (Jesus) has no need, like those high priests, to offer sacrifices daily, first for his own sins and then for those of the people, since he did this once for all when he offered up himself." When Christians repent of their sins daily they don't have the Holy Spirit. They are still living under the Old Covenant, because they can't get clean.
Many Christians mock the Holy Spirit by saying it is impossible to conquer the flesh nature and stop sinning. They don't believe. They are watering down and diminishing the power of the Holy Spirit in their own minds & in the minds of others. They are mocking the miracle of transformation that brings us Salvation.
People flock to false religion due to the corruption in their hearts.
False Christians will dilligently search their bibles looking for loopholes to sin.
1 Peter 2:24 confirms that it is possible to stop sinning:
"He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” When we are healed from the bondage of sin, it is permanent.
"If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed."
Scripture describes false converts as continuing in sin, because they deny the power of the Holy Spirit.
2 Timothy 3:5 "Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away."
Scripture gives a strong warning of eternal damnation to those who reject the New Covenant by sinning:
    Hebrews 10:28-29
"Anyone who has rejected Moses' law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace?"
God's grace does not free us to sin. It does not cover continued sin or future sins. It does not forgive deliberate sin. It frees us from sin. Ungodly Christians reject the gift of righteousness that God offers. False Christians cling to a doctrine of demons that tells them they get to keep their sins, and there is no penalty. This is much more appealing to false converts than the thought of giving up their sins.
John 3:36 jesus said, "Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him."
If people can't understand the clear language that Jesus used, perhaps their hearts have become hardened.
God, in his wisdom, does not leave us in a sinful condition, because over time, sin destroys the human conscience. When this happens, they are lost.
We can see evidence of a darkened conscience and a hardened heart when people mock and ridicule the precious gift that Jesus gave up his life to bring to us so that we can recieve righteousness that is required for Salvation.
When Christians reject the New Covenant, Jesus will reject them, and they will have to pay the full penalty that that the Law always required for disobedience under the Old Covenant. That means eternal damnation.

Technically, the sin against the Holy Spirit is to attribute the work of the Holy Spirit to the the devil/lucifer/demons.
And, you’re right that we are to obey Yeshua, which as he tells us, is to “do the will of the father who has sent me”. People who are Christians should behave accordingly and not as though salvation is a license to sin (which I have done) “but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.” 1 Peter 1:15-16. Before I was saved, I had a friend who said he was a Christian, who went to church on Sunday but, sinned to a degree that made me look like a beginner. I asked him if he felt badly about the way he acted and he said that he said the sinners prayer and, then got baptized. He told me that he’ll just the sinners prayer again and, God will forgive him. Deep down, I knew that wasn’t right…it couldn’t be. That was many, many years ago and, although I still struggle with sin, I will feel horrible guilt about it, confess it to God and, ask for his forgiveness. It’s one particular type of sin that I do constant battle with and, I’m not alone in this struggle.

I agree with what you say but what about, 1john1:8 if we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us, 1tim1:15 Jesus came into the world to save sinners of whom I AM chief (not was), Paul wrestles with his sin Romans 7:14 for we know the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold under sin. for I do not understand my own actions, for I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate. Rom7:17 it is the sin that dwells within me.

Got to be honest, the joke parts at the end are great but can you not remove that one. I feel joking about eternal damnation is a bit classless. I've done it and I hate when I do it. Surely I'm not the only one that thinks this

There is no fear of God, that is why. These people are wolves.
      They won't teach this...
1Jn 3:6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
1Jn 3:7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
Nope. Just sin, sin and more sin.
Jesus taught, "go and sin no more." Not these wolves though, it just more sin with a deceptive assurance thrown in, ie. ye can sin and not surely die. No fear of God in that, none, zip zero.
      None of this...
      1Pe 4:1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
1Pe 4:2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
      Nor this...
1Ti 1:5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
Nope, just sin, sin and sin some more.
      Never will they say...
1Jn 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
1Jn 5:19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
No "as He is so are we"...
1Jn 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
1Jn 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
      They preach...
Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
...and the people love it so.
      2Ti 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
2Ti 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
