We watch a lot of Disney vloggers and they all do the same thing .... "this is great!" .... Kristin does say how she really feels and is not persuaded by the mouse, lol. Our family ran into her at the Grand Flo and she was great! Keep it up!

Don't ever apologize if you sound negative because we come to this channel for honesty and I appreciate it and I also think it looked cheap and they cut so many corners they could have done so much to that area but it did not look impressive

I love Disney but it seems like Universal is doing way better with their epic universe than Disney’s copy of a college campus and a lame show with no a/c or seats.

I went to Epcot in 1983 and was amazed, estonished, delighted and entertained. If I could use one word to describe epcot today it would be disappointment

Nah girl, do not apologize. Disney is a mess these days. I did my college program in 2013 and it has broken my heart to see how downhill things have gone since then. This is honestly embarrassing.
This makes us just....sad. we have been visiting Disney for over 40 years. They are just dumbing everything down. Anyone can go to a park in their town. People don't pay thousands of dollars to go there to sit in a park, which by the way is ugly. They have 100 percent lost Walts vision. Its not like they can't afford it but instead choose not to bring the magic! Close 5 rides and have 20 meet and greets! Outrageous. The wait times are beyond because they closed or canceled so many things. So disappointed.😢 oh wait lets charge people an astronomical amount of money and then make them buy Genie + every day so they can get on 3 rides in a week.No magic!
I'm so over the constant disappointment with Disney in the past 5 years. It use to never be like this. I appreciate your honest review.... agree 100%. I have no clue what Disney has against shade but they never include it in anything!
They built an entire land in Toy Story Land with 0 shade or place to take cover from bad weather

I never comment, but I so agree with you here. When I first walked into this new area I was shocked by the lack of shade. Who approved this? It is insane to me that this area was left wide open! We are in an area that gets a crazy amount of rain and incredible head-no awnings or coverings of any kind is nuts. I watched another vlogger give his opinion (#hosted by Disney) and shocker he thought it was amazing. Kristen please never stop being honest. It is so disheartening to see people sell out and say something that is obviously trash is amazing because they don’t want to lose their standing with Disney. Keep being honest, that is why we love you!
As evidenced by today. It legit rained all day. Not only would a covering of some sort protect us from the sun but also from the weather. I saw a video of the Encanto show being "performed" inside of CommuniCore today because of the weather & it somehow looked even worse than it does outside. It was like a bunch of ppl dancing in a cafeteria

The entire time we walked around I couldn’t get the song paved paradise to put up a parking lot out of my head

I agree with you, Kristin. Poor planning. Why do I want to sit on the hot grass to watch the Encanto show? Benches would be a better choice. But sitting in the hot, direct sun? No thanks!

Disney is too concerned with keeping everything safe and bland and checking all of the boxes that there isn't any room left for creativity. The new Polynesian tower rooms are boring and lifeless as well.

The more I see of the videos our vloggers are making at the Asian parks the more wdw parks and refurbished resorts are looking like crap. No imagination, everything cheaply thrown together lacking the theming that Disney was once known for. This new area is pathetic especially after taking 5 yrs to build. The Disney Parks in Asia are beyond impressive. Loving all the vlogs there recently as well. I hope to get over there soon!

That's because the Asian parks are not owned by Disney. They are owned by Asian theme park companies. Disney Imagineering just builds what they order.

It would be great if Disney would listen to your ideas. I agree with you and your take on this new opening and the Encanto show. Poorly thought out. It also does look like a college campus. I'd hope for more Disney!

I love your honesty and I agree, we waited 5 years for this!?! It just isn't it and not thought out at all. I REALLY hope that they listen to all of the comments about this area and add some type of shade to the stage area and fix the menu situation. I still can't believe that they tore down that building to build the same thing...

The indoor seating area is the best thing about this update. How no one thought to have shade at that outdoor stage area is absolutely insane, especially with only one food stand. No drink or ice cream carts, or at least a place for bottled drinks? We are aiming on going to Disney next year with Epcot on our list, but seeing this update was such a disappointment. Thank you for your honesty, as always.

I wholeheartedly agree with you! It looks like a convention Center! They didn’t put up a shady area, and not even benches! I’m sorry to say this, but Disney World is starting to do things as cheap as possible! I’ve been to Tokyo Disneyland and oh my, there’s no comparison! Everything is done to perfection and top quality!
Like you said, I think their excuse is budget cuts and covid, but they could at least put some nice looking benches and some sort of permanent covering over the area, in case of rain, or direct sun.
Universal isn't making excuses. They've been building an Epic Universe the whole while this mess was being built. There's NO excuse. Construction was considered an essential job during COVID.. Not closed down here!
Wait wait wait… so they tore down half of the communicore plaza, then built a communicore building and decorated part of the queue for the character meet &greet with depictions of all the memorable stuff they systematically removed from Epcot and didn’t replace over the years? Horizons, the butler, fountain of nations, dreamfinder ship…. LMAO… just making sure I understand! I can’t wait to make memories with my own kids over at Universal. I can also make memories at MCO terminal C and save a ton on Disney admission tickets for the Epcot terminal C.

Absolutely loved the honest review! With the amount of money we spend to go to the parks (almost a small fortune for a family these days) it can be so incredibly disappointing when the promise of magic doesn’t match the cost of the price tag. I believe this was a constructive review and honestly a breath of fresh air to watch!

I laughed when you said the old innovention building. I worked Epcot from Dec. ‘84 - Jan. ‘95. I worked Backstage Magic, The EPCOT Poll and Futurecom. The Innovention Buildings were a welcome change. Congrats on your bathroom 🚽 humor

Budgets were massively cut.
Budget was also waisted on Moana and the night-time show.
Only part they got right was the entrance and the lights on Spaceship Earth.

Loved the video!!! Not sure if it’s true but another CZcamsr asked about the hall and it will be used for multiple purposes. The hall will host the demo kitchen and mixology bar i believe. It’s behind the frosted glass that looks like a wall. Love to see if you can find out more. Keep the videos coming, love the honesty! ❤️😊

Now I know where I'll be waiting out the afternoon rainstorms when I don't feel like leaving epcot. It also looks like a great spot for kids naps and for lunch for families who brought in their own coolers. Otherwise it's a pass.
I’m an OG Epcot girl - I love the nods to old Epcot in Communicore Hall, I love the exterior of the building. I agree with you on the rest. Forget the Encanto show and just have various live acts throughout the day - have bands representative of all the countries, just something else. The festival favorites was not what I expected either - I was hopeful that it would be offerings of well loved faves from all the fests. Why so much seating??? As much as I want to love it, it needs more thought and detail, in my opinion. Makes me sad to say that.
