- This is my video tutorial covering how to make homemade duct tape Nerf pouches. These could be designed to hold magazines, darts, tools, or anything you need to carry while you're Nerfing. Duct tape pouches are great because you can customize them however you want and they're WAY cheaper than buying airsoft pouches and using them for Nerf.

I made a couple today. A case for mags using velcro to hold the lid closed & a Firestrike holster with a velcro strap to keep the sidearm secure. Both have loops for belt attachment too. I recommend at least 4 layers of tape to make it more robust.

Love these old vids, the cardboard used to package the guns combined with duct tape proved to be the best for mag holders and even gun holsters, but this video is a pioneer.
I don't like using cardboard as the primary material as it's not water proof. It may be better initially, but this method is great for long term use.
Duct tape is stronger than paper, the paper is mostly just as a template. However, the paper does add some thickness and structural integrity to the component, which is nice for this application.

I'm not going to insult anyone's intelligence by telling them how to wrap duct tape around paper. This is as in depth as I'm going to get.
I made mine using my cardboard box of my nerf rapidstrike,using cardboard really saves you a lotta duct tape

I use cardboard on some projects. I wanted this holder to be more flexible. It varies on the purpose.

I find that a cardboard base is well suited for pistol holsters due to its rigidity, and it holds up well too so long as it's completely encased in tape. I also prefer the look and feel of matte black electrical tape over shiny duct tape, but that's just me. Great vid, I'll have to make paper/duct tape and cardboard/e-tape versions and test them both out.

Thinking about making a version of this with cardboard instead of paper for some rival mags. Figure two ranks of mags stacked in staggered formation (second rank fills in gaps from first) with each mag having it's own slot. have a dump pouch in the back for the empties, and with the space he uses for the elite mags, could fit two rivals in roughly the same space, giving me 'bout 15 mags if my rough estimation is right.
Nice vid. Timelapses are always cool, I like the music, and it's a nice finished product. I might have to buy a few more rolls of duct tape myself and make some cool stuff. I need some sort of quick-draw scabbard for my Vendetta swords, because it's kind impractical to carry them as is but they could come in handy (especially in HvZ).

Hey coop, I reckon you could do some loop holes on the bottom half and have a belt running through your legs and it won't move around as much and it would be more quieter. Just an option.
reduces noise and slightly improves durability since the weight is then split between the top and bottom loops. However if you make the pouch too stiff it can hamper your movement

Awesome! Never seen anyone use this much duck tape for Nerf! And I like the paper idea, I would have never thought of that. And is the paper strong enough? Or is it just the thick duck tape? And I've found out that if you use Foam Core PosterBoard instead of cardboard (If you ever use cardboard for this kind of stuff) because It's stronger and easier to cut. I made a Vulcan Ammo Box out of Foam Core and I knocked on it like you would a door and it kinda hurt, and it only has duck tape around it.

Also, I'm think of doing a vest. 4 pouches, the outer ones for 12 round stick mags and the middle 2 for 18's. It would looks tacticool, and be practical since the twelves won't get in the way.

For mags, I wrapped a piece of paper around a mag and taped it shut, and then taped it shut a few more times, and did the layers of duct tape

Yea, I always used to just fold it on eachother (Noob Me), and thats a bitch to do. You should do more of these tutorials. I enjoy them. I used to make duck tape everything a while back. But yea, a very cool, inexpensive way to hold your nerf stuff. Genius!

i taped 4 together, measured it, and left a 1/4 of an inch gap and it works pretty well, the gap should be smaller, they keep falling out :/
