  • 1 month in Japan went by so fast!
    But i came back with many valuable lessons about myself and anxiety management, which I wanted to share with you all. Solo travelling can foster a deep sense of presence and relaxation, but it did require some initial planning beforehand, and especially practicing self-compassion.
    I hope you find this video comforting 🍵 & thank you to the viewer who gave me the idea for this video 🥰

    Congratulations on solo traveling so far away from your home, it is truly impressive. Also, how surprising is your conclusion, that traveling alone reduced your anxiety... so cool that you found that out. Thank you for the video and for your inspiring reflections 🥰

    I travel along a lot by choice. I love it. It's challenging, but I love being alone, and I'm introverted so that helps a little. I bring small books like 30 Days to Reduce Anxiety by Harper Daniels (teaches mindfulness meditations) and a journal. You are the main character in this book of life, enjoy it :)

    Thank you so much for sharing, lovely video :)
    I have moved around Europe a bit but never left the continent. It feels scary. If something happened to me in a European country, it would be quite "easy" to get back to Spain or Germany. No need to worry about insurances much. But going so far away? I know it is doable but it just makes me feel a tiny bit anxious.
    Anyway, I wanna try to do a no/low spend challenge for the first 3 months of 2024 with possibility to extend it until the end of the year because I want to save up to go overseas in 2025 for a month or two. This video has motivated me even more :)

      Hi love, thanks for sharing your experience! 💕 I completely understand the anxiety, it's definitely scary to travel so far away. From my experience, nothing bad has ever happened to me while travelling so I don't get scared so much, mostly because i chose countries that were "safer" to travel to (e.g., Japan, Thailand...) or was part of volunteering programs. But of course, like anywhere, anything could happen so it's important to be careful when travelling. And you're right for planning to save money ahead of time -- having some "emergency savings" will ease your anxiety. You can also get a travel insurance if it's not too costly. But overall, travelling abroad is definitely worth it, and i'm really excited for you! good luck with your low spend challenge 🥰

    Hello, I got my vertical labret yesterday and the bottom is pierced too low, what do you think I should do? Should I take it out and repierce it?

    • @teawithromy
      @teawithromy  Před 7 měsíci +1

      I’d recommend asking the piercer for their opinion, also to check if its possible to repierce it. But i understand its very frustrating.. if you know its gonna annoy you everytime you see it, then i would suggest removing it! Mine is crooked but it’s not too noticeable so i managed to let go of the imperfection… Its really up to you 🩵 good luck!

      @teawithromy thank you for replying! I went to the piercer like an hour ago and he told me it is supposed to be pierced there but I really think it's low and could be pierced a little higher. He also told me to wait until I downsize the piercing and then make my decision. I'll wait and see!
