- We fell for Bacalar. Hard. Even though we’ve just started these 99 days in Mexico, Bacalar may be our favourite spot already. With amazing blue waters, a laid-back feel and delicious foods, we were just about ready to start looking for a place to live.

Felicia makes the lagoon even more beautiful!!!!!! ❤️
Thank you guys XOXO
Hellooo, I´m so glad you are having a good time in my country, Bacalar is one of my favorite places in México! It´s really great watching people from around the world enjoy the beauties we love the most! Greetings from Chiapas, México.
im Mexican and i ve never heard of it wow!!! thank you for Showing the Beautiful Mexico!!
My husband and I just got back from Tulum, Bacalar and Holbox a week ago (10/19-10/26/18) and it was the best vacation we have ever had so far! He watched your videos at least a hundred times before we left...lol! We took a catamaran around the lagoon with the same company you did which I highly recommend. The water in Bacalar is UNREAL!! It’s like a computer screen saver but it’s real. Tulum was lovely as well but it still had a bit of the seaweed issue so we only stayed there 2 days in the city part. We really loved Holbox as well but the local people everywhere we went made this trip even more special. We almost ran out of gas on the way from Tulum to Bacalar and these awesome guys saved us with some gas. We were really taken care of the entire time even with the minimal Spanish that we knew. We walked around at night and felt totally safe in all three locations. The food was also phenomenal. Thank you for sharing your journey bc it helped us plan a wonderful vacation and discover a new place on this earth to love💕💕💕
We're so happy to hear about your experiences in Mexico!! Thank you for sharing and we're so glad you found some inspiration in our videos. It's such a beautiful country with friendly people and we hope we'll be able to go back and showcase more of it again soon. Thanks again and all the best to you both! 💕
what company was it and can you share there pone number please?
Did you guys lke bacalar or holbox better?
@@amvespinosa Holbox for sure. If you are looking for a low key, relaxing vaca both are nice. But we liked Holbox better (especially my husband) b/c it's a very unique small island and you can literally walk around barefoot. The lagoon of Bacalar is one of a kind. The water is so beautiful and clear and it feels like a slightly warm bath. We actually went back to Holbox and Tulum for a week at the end of Sept 2020. One important thing to consider with Holbox is the time and transport to get there. It's a 2.5 hrs ride from Cancun Airport and another 30 min ferry to the island. I would recommend you plan at least 3 days there if you plan to go and book your transportation well in advance to avoid paying really high taxi/shuttle fees bc it's quite expensive.
Great vid u guys. WOW .. I've been to Quintana Roo so often .. the entire Yucatan Peninsula .. and have not been to Bacalar. Now after having seen many vids from travelers to Bacalar .. I will have to make the effort on my next visit to the Yucatan. I'm already addicted to Mexico, it's culture, and food .. and try to go there as many times as my budget allows. Born in the Netherlands, childhood in West Africa .. now living in Canada .. I am still a tropical boy at heart. "You can take the boy out of the tropics .. but you cannot take the tropics out of the boy" .. LOL Montreal winters are just too cold for me. Viva Mexico !!
one of gifted place on Earth, Bacalar....Buenos Diaz
What a beautiful place....the colors of the lagoon are stunning!
Bacalar has got to be one of our favourite places in Mexico!
That water is *soooooo* clear!
You guys make such high quality videos! So amazing to watch!
So glad you're enjoying them, Sarah!
Awww...the two of you are so cute, playgrounding-it...it's important to never lose your youthful enthusiasm...lots of love to you all from Texas!!! 💕
What a great way to explore Bacalar. Love the drone shots. We missed Bacalar, but need to visit it next time we’re in Mexico.
Congratulations on getting married!!!
Your homage to icons of silent cinema, Mack Sennett and Charlie Chaplin, is masterfully done. Who knows, maybe one day film historians will look on your early work, and write books about it.....
Went to Tulum a little more than a year ago after watching your videos and now I want to go back to Yucatan thanks to you :(
Love seeing you how much you're enjoying it there. It looks so nice!
Thanks guys! Love seeing your adventures in Malaysia too!

Haha - 7:19 - you guys sound exactly like me and Amanda. This is what we're doing... originally looked at Mexico, but decided to go to Bali because we fell in love with a place on Nusa Ceningan! Renting a villa and inviting friends and family :) Great stuff guys! That place looks amazing, definitely see why you would want to have your special day there
A villa in Bali sounds like the perfect spot to celebrate your special day!

Wow ustedes hacen los videos con la mejor fotografía que he visto, por favor vayan algún 2 de noviembre a la celebración del día de muertos en Michoacán, México. Es un evento tan hermoso que no lo olvidaran y seguramente harán videos hermosos.
Lovely place! I would as well feed those dogs and cats. Can’t wait for next video!
Wow! Can I get an invite to the wedding? I would fly anywhere for such an occasion.
Woo hoo me and the wife hitting bacalar and Cancun in January already booked 👍
Hope you have an amazing time!!
Just discovered this channel. I got some catching up to do
Nice place
💓💓
Wow I have to visit there, I'm always apprehensive about visiting beaches or similar places because they're too touristy and that kinda pisses me off but there it seems so quiet and alone plus that view, thanks for showing us places that we don't know, I never heard of that place before 😉
Aww when you guys said you were getting married 😍
Been there it’s awesome my profile pic was taken there
Wats that first song name
Beautiful videos guys! A question for you... Holbox or Bacalar? I'm planning a solo trip next January/February to do a lot of nothing! I love seeing wildlife, living on cheap tacos and amazing street food, finding good coffee/lattes, and I'll need some wifi. Not really into nightlife or partying; I love peace and quiet. Any thoughts or suggestion for one of these places over the other?
Bacalar is so beautiful. I will say there are some shops, a few restaurants, and not that much else going on. If you are looking for relaxing vibes, this is the place to come. The lake is so amazing. If you are looking for somewhere cheap, safe and clean to stay book The Yak House Hostel on Hostelworld. The wifi worked great there and it was VERY peaceful. They had sunrise and sunset paddle boaring & boat tours. I went in January and the weather was gorgeous! I highly recommend Bacalar.
@@sarahcosca Thank you, that's helpful!
Greetings from Poland Guys 😉
We're moving to MX in 2023 (that's the plan...I want to go sooner but we have to sell our house & both businesses) and plan to live in Puerto Morelos. It's only a couple hours drive to Bacalar and I CANNOT WAIT!
wow! that would be a lot of weddings...does that mean 3x the gifts? haha!
Wedding definitely in Poland , but be prepared for 3 days in a row party and make sure you weeding shoes fits perfectly because it’s going to be a lot of dance.Hope to see you guys somewhere in Poland .
Sounds like a good time!! Hope we'll get to see more of Poland this summer :)

We want to go back there asap too!
Cool video... Building Eco Homes there!

I'm so glad you guys made this video. I'm in Tulum now and although its good (I give it a ehh) I'm not in love with it. I'm going to Bacalar right after and so looking for the authentic yucutan experience.
We're so glad you're giving Bacalar a shot and hope you like it as much as we did! :)

Greetings from Katowice :D
How much was the tour? I’ll be in tulum in 3 weeks and I would like to go on this tour.
fiiirst 111!!
You win!
Hey guys, we are looking for the slow pace for one month living with a child. I was thinking about Bacalar, we would like to meet some locals, kids and buy some food on the local markets? Do you think that place should be for family? We have a small child 3 years old therefore we don't need any loud places , or big tourist places. We are thinking about Chetumal or Bacalar. We have been in Mexico, but not in these places .What is your suggestion?
Hey Viktoria, we really enjoyed Bacalar and I think it would be a good place for the slow pace that you mentioned. I don't know about many activities for young kids specifically but it's quiet, the locals are friendly and the vibe is relaxing. What time of the year are you thinking? During high season, it may be hard to find a month rental for cheap online but maybe phone calls or asking around while you're there will likely get you a better deal. Bacalar is close to Chetumal so you could do a day trip to the city for other activities (or for visits to Walmart, etc). We also have a Chetumal video on this channel in case that helps with your decision but I personally enjoyed Bacalar more and we only got to see a portion of the lagoon while we were there. Hope that helps!
The miskolc man was a bit off in mexiko
Wow this place looks really good for goning on a vacation. Are there any dangerous animals? Spiders, bugs, snakes, jellyfish, sharks whatever?
There are some small fish in the lagoon but not much else since it's freshwater and pretty shallow for the most part. We experienced more mosquitos here than in other parts of the coast but a small price to pay for the beauty! And definitely birds. Lots and lots of unique birds around the lagoon.
I heard this morning US government issued security warning for Playa del Carmen area. Be safe guys.
Do you guys like bacalar or holbox better? Pick one
I know, the dogs worry me too. I was wondering how they get WATER, ya know?
Which cities in Poland are you going to visit in summer?
Still in the planning stages but hopefully a few stops on the seaside and some of the mountains in the south!
Try Szczecin the biggest city in North-West Pomerania region. Than you can also go the seaside to places like: Swinoujscie or Miedzyzdroje. Kolobrzeg is also a good option. To Szczecin you can easly get from Berlin or other cities in Poland.
Whens the next time you going to pv im a canadian 28 years old got a girl that lives in pv im leaving in a week for 3 to 4 months . I got some places id like to show you from nice views and my fav taco stands
Wes, the Spanish were actually the first pirates. Lol.. but serious
Still no place like Texas
How much was the tour???
How long was the tour?
Wedding in Poland?! Please, invite all your Polish subscribers! ;)
Do I need to know spanish to go here
Poland Really..
i don't even like Tulum... when I'm going to Quintana Roo im going always to Isla Holbox and BACALAR !!!!
Ahhhh...... you guys are taking about a wedding, there is no rule that says not to have it in 3 places, Bacalar will pe picture perfect
Deberían relatar las cosas también en español. Como lo hacen Greg y la guera( gringos) o aclaren q estos vídeos son solo para los de habla inglesa.
Pues si el título es en inglés, crees que van a hablar en español? 🙄 Es obvio que no
Why did you drink that water you just said you were in bed sick for 2 days now I see why
0:28 Ate a 'bad taco'? I bet your girlfriend ate the same tacos and didn't get sick.
Get off my land i have a piece of land that my dad gave to me there
So beautiful country but its sad its beeing ruled by drug cartels :(
Stunning beaches, amazing food (i love spiciness ), and PERFECT women that don't need any make-up to look amazing 💜
guapoxti Yea its true, USA is a fake state because power there holds private corporations not the people... mainly Rotchild and Rockeffeller plans every US elections, and you probably know who are those two guys?
Bacalar is really great! But Holbox is Horror! IT's so loud and there is no atmosphere. They say that is a super nice island, but it isn't it! Loud ,noisy and dirty.
It was not fun hearing over and over that your boyfriend had the sh!ts.
