The thing is that, if the judges weren't so abysmal that night and Cory got the nod, there was no need for him to accept that fight against Yan in the first place, on short notice.

Making all kinds of excuses about not being able to do what he wanted. How he didn't perform well because of the knee. Kept on saying "if it wasn't for my knee" as if it wasn't damaged Cory intended. No different than a guy getting rocked and saying, if they had their wits about them they could have fought better. Cory's damaged affected his fighting. And Cory did more damage in the fight all together and was robbed. The Weasle did a good breakdown. Educate yourself

It’s so weird to me to just see how fickle mma fans are in real time. I mean aljo literally got dogged on for like an entire yearrr straight and the minute he beats yan in the rematch with a super close decision that came down to a first round that basically both guys threw like a combined 10 strikes in, and the rounds aljo did win came from holding a body triangle for 3 minutes, now turn around and like elevate him. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying it should go back to hating the guy or discrediting or underrating him either, but it’s just funny to see all the people riding aljo right now talking about how tj is gonna get ran through because I can literally guarantee most if not all of tj wins will revert right back to the same old bs everyone was saying before. Aljo is dangerous, but tj is a horrible matchup for him, because unlike yan who is basically just a little midget ghengis khan who relentlessly walks forward , tj can wrestle, really well and he can use his wrestling, defensively very well too and on top of that, tj has some of the best footwork in the entire Div even up there with someone like a prime Cruz and so yeah, we will see. Just think it’s funny is all how easily mma fans flip flop around

those steroids really set him back financially...for 2 1/2 years he had no fights. he potentially lost out on 5 to 7 fights depending on how active he wanted to be. he looks beat down and run down he didn't look like that the night he fought henry. hes probably been stressing over all the money he lost. look at the interview he did with cejudo before they fought then compare it to any interview since then. his demeanor is completely different

Ariel is one of the few interviewers that seems genuinely interested in peoples personal lives outside of fighting.
He’s grown to genuinely care but he is the original shitty sports reporter who just wants a story. It feels sometimes he’s grown sympathy just to market himself better. Ik I sound like a hater but go watch Ariel from 2011 or so. Dude was a pure snake. This new era of mma fans who don’t know about the history love him, while longtime fans have grown to only tolerate him.
