- Wolverton North Layout Build Part 2 - More detail than is really required goes into the second building for the layout.
In this video we take a brief look at how I constructed my replica of the boiler workshop at Bridgnorth station on the Severn valley Railway.

Just wow !!!!!
Your video squeezes hundred of hours work into just 7 minutes !!!!
Amazing. Thanks very much
I think 7 minutes if my voice is enough for any video... Glad you enjoyed it!
Absolutely outstanding... I've never seen this level of detail on an N gauge layout!
Many thanks
WOW, just WOW!!
Thank you. Mel
Absolutely fantastic!
Many thanks!

Superb model
Great work. Very impressive
Thank you
Congratulations. A superb piece of work. Thank you
Thank you. Mel
Absolutely stunning mate!
Beautiful build. Thanks for sharing. Dave
Glad you liked it
Hi, Great plans and fantastic building, just subscribed to your channel, it’s great to see another N gauge channel on CZcams! Cheers Gary
Thank you very much Gary. Your layout is one of the inspirations that got me building mine.
I have just found your channel and binge watched everything, to start with all I can say is Wow! your level of modelling and attention to detail is just amazing! I love the use of both 3d printing methods and have often thought that this is the way to go for N-Gauge, and you have just proved it. Looking forward to seeing what you produce next on this great channel. All the best Tony.
Thank you so much glad you enjoyed watching the videos.
Superb
Thank you!
Wow. Just wow. I would have stopped at the outer shell... the interior is absolutely stunning!
Thank you. To be honest I probably should have stopped at the other shell too but I got carried away.
Well made video and a great looking building there. Very impressive results, makes me want to get a resin printer
Thank you very much. They can be messy but once you get to know your printer they are great for modelling.
Bloody marvellous I just love the detail. A Hall boiler in OO would look great on my layout to give that sense of realism
Amazing level of details! Wow 🤩👍
Thank you! 👍
Well thought out and looks good but simple in it's construction.
Good work. :)
Thank you very much
Another very impressive build! I'd been thinking years ago that 3D-printing would be very useful for model railways, and more recently been thinking about just how tiny real-life detail is once scaled-down by 148 - you're proving that printing is the way to get that detail in bespoke items. I'm considering getting into 3D printing for N gauge - how long did it take you to do all of the computer model designs for this building?
Thank you very much. 3D printing does open up the possibilities of what detail you can add into a model. I would say there's about 15-20 hours of cad work in this model but I do bits here and there so it's hard to say really.
Amazing craftsmanship again. 👌🏻
But uhm. What kinda 3D printer do you use? If I may ask.
Cause the parts have some great details.
Keep up this amazing work.
Thank you.
All the detailed parts are printed using an Elegoo mars pro. There are printers avilable now capable of even more detail but for now I'm happy with what I can get out of my current machine.
Surely that is nothing short of absolutely freeekin ridiculous.
Thank you very much.
I love it. Great stuff, very inspiring to get that level of detail in N Gauge. What 3D printer are you using? and other drawing programs? Craig
Thank you very much. My Resin printer is an Elegoo Mars pro, I'm using a big old Tevo Black widow for the FDM prints. Fusion 360 is the design program I have been using.
@@thewolvertonworkshop Thanks. I will check them out.
@@CGngauge I would strongly recommend the Elegoo Mars but to be honest I would steer clear of the Tevo Black Widow, its taken a huge amount of work to get the printer running. Take a look at the Ender 3 for FDM prints.
@@thewolvertonworkshop I've just been checking out the Elegoo site. The Saturn 8K looks pretty good for a little more $$. While watching your video's I thought Most of the FDM printing I could simply do scratch building the buildings, but the actual detail is more important. (I don't have that many buildings left to build. for my layout.. but thinking more of future stuff and adding the details.
