  • Despite being an innovative SUV in its own right since its 2003 launch, the two-row crossover has been unable to keep up with more contemporary competitors. However, for the next third generation of the Murano, Nissan appears to be giving it a crisp new appearance. Hidden behind a layer of camouflage, spy photographs reveal crisper style. The vehicle has a swept back roofline and a squeezed rear quarter window, similar to the Genesis GV70, a luxury class crossover. We can see exhaust coming from the back of the Murano in a few pictures, which makes us think it will still be powered by a V-6 engine, even though it was originally supposed to debut as an electric vehicle. We anticipate that the 2025 Murano will maintain its two-row, five-seat layout, and that Nissan's Infiniti premium brand will have a variant, perhaps dubbed QX65, with more refined exterior and interior design cues.Summing up: All of it. An entirely revamped Murano is anticipated to make its manufacturing debut in the first quarter of 2024, with sales beginning the following year for the 2025 model year.Pricing for the 2025 Nissan Murano will likely range from $37,000 to $49,000 (or more, depending on trim level and options). While we wait for Nissan to reveal the 2018 Murano's price and trim levels, we don't think the automaker will stray from its usual S, SV, SL, and Platinum model structure. We will update this item with more data and a recommendation for the best deal as soon as we have more information regarding the 2025 Murano's trims and features. We were hoping the next-gen Murano will have an electric engine when it debuted, but the exhaust vapours in the spy photographs show that the SUV will mostly use internal combustion. Until Nissan makes an official statement, we can only speculate as to whether the new Murano is designed to accommodate a petrol engine or an electric motor. We expect the 2024 Murano to continue using the same tried-and-true 3.5-liter V-6 as its predecessor, but we're crossing our fingers that Nissan has upgraded the 2024 model's CVT with the nine-speed automatic from the larger Pathfinder.
