I rented a brand new "old body style" 2024 Chevy Equinox recently. The 1.5L sounded awfully buzzy and provided barely-decent output within a tiny little window of opportunity. The 1.5L drivability, quivers, and sounds reminded me of when I rented a brand-new 1992 Ford Tempo 2.3L. Dull power with unpleasant noises. After 60 miles of city errands, merging, and maneuvering, the car was returned to Enterprise for a hard-used Durango. Apples to Oranges, but the Durango's old-school RWD driveline and 8-speed transmission clunkiness felt 1000X more satisfying than the Equinox. Is there a point here? Also the back up camera worked when ever it wanted too. The front facing camera would randomaly go in and out of service. And when I brought it to the dealer multiple times they just kept telling me that they couldn’t find anything wrong. Also the shocks were already creaking and going out after 30k miles. 😂you have been warned. It's not just that the vehicle is underpowered, but this tiny turbo will be overworked and will be less reliable than a V6 or a 4 with decent displacement. Is it also made in Mexico? Another deal-breaker.

So far for the more off-road oriented sibling the Terrain is way better than the current last generation. But the pricing is to be desired than the previous model or the sibling is the Equinox. But overall a great Compact-Medium sized SUV.🙌🏻💯

There are so many things right with this vehicle however the following things that need to be improved: Replace the 1.5 Turbo with a 2.0 Turbo. The Presenter in the video does not realize that the New Terrain looks like a Canyon not a Yukon. The front grill should have mimicked the New Acadia. The Side marker lights should be on the Side View Mirrors.

5:43 the brake lights doubling as the turn signals are unacceptable and need to be illegal already. Brake lights and turn signals are supposed to be separate lights and turn signals are amber, period. How is it 2024 and US car companies are still incapable of designing proper taillights? Come on, let's make US taillights great again.
