@@ziepex7009 it’s a region in Africa rich in resources that Belgium got or it’s king because the major powers could not decide who would get and the people there got forces to mine for resources and stuff like that and were treated really badly (20 Million Africans died during that time)
You definitely should try winning the 2nd Balkan War as Bulgaria. It is pretty challenging, but if you do it you can form Byzantium down the road. But from firsthand experience, I must warn you it requires impeccable timing or else you won't be able to do it until 1920.

You should try winning the Second Balkan War as Bulgaria! It's quite difficult, but absolutely possible. There is a focus path you can go to form the Byzantine Empire as Bulgaria.

11:30 You can make the second Balkan war as Bulgaria much easier if you give up Dobrudja to the Romanians after the first war as they won't join the war. And you can take the land back after winning ww1 with the central powers anyways
I remember *trying* to play Belgium. I made a fort line behind the Maas and took every defense modifier (excluding focuses) I had available. Once Germany declared I got a modifier with around -70% defense and got pushed, encircled and died in 1 minute.

The one thing I'm not a huge fan of with GWR is that it's a bit too much railroading. Like, there's a lot of really cool stuff to do, but most of it can only be done after the war is over and everything is terrible.

Trying to win the 2nd Balkan war as Bulgaria is definitely doable but it's certainly not easy, at least it was pretty tough for me anyway. Very fun though you should definitely try it.

With the Netherlands making up 50% of the manpower of the Belgian Empire, I would've foreseen Austria-Hungary style linguistic issues during the Great War. Especially considering Belgium annexed Luxembourg and the Netherlands only less than four years ago.
