    I was able to change the filters on my company truck. The dealership wanted to charge them hundreds of dollars. Your video was very helpful since I was able to do it and I am by no means mechanically inclined. Thank you sir.

    Great video!! Don't skip any of the video, remember to squeeze the sides of the red clip before pulling. Watched another video and they left that part out. Had to order the new red clip after breaking the nipple off. Wished I had watched this one first.

    Great video, thank you. I have a couple of comments to add that might make things go a little more quickly for someone trying this for the first time. When removing the orange clip on the engine-mounted filter, first pull the clip up (as shown in the video) and then squeeze the black plastic between the two orange tabs, not the orange tabs themselves, to allow the clip to be pulled off. To visualize the clipping mechanism, you can rotate the clip 180 degrees while still attached. This allows you to view the clip from the bottom, which makes the nature of the clipping mechanism, and the place you need to squeeze, apparent.
    One other thing. When you buy the Motorcraft filter, there will be a plastic “clam-shell” addition that comes with it. It is to be added to the hose with the orange clip, if it is not already present. Apparently, this was not part of the original equipment on the truck. If this piece is present, it does not have to be removed or replaced during filter replacement. Google Motorcraft® 6.7L Diesel Fuel Collar Installation , for more information.

    Additional Tip..The square filter slides to one side to remove it from the cover. No need twist electrical connector in the cover, it's not holding the filter even though it looks like it. This part was missing from a few videos. Thanks

    Well done. I told you I would check your channel out. I gotta say changing fuel filters is a little easier on my rams though. The oil filter is a pita on the ram though, maybe ford wins there. Lol. I might even give you a like. 👍🏻

    If you have a compressor, you can leave the outlet line loose on the top filter and take a rag and air line and pressurize the fuel tank and get the fuel up top a lot quicker.

    Did my filter change for the first time after watching your video, didnt read the manual but I cycled the key like 6-7 times before start up and the primary was still purging air, do you think this an issue? Morning after it seemed fine on startup just couldn't believe it was still priming air out of the system.

    • @workplaytv

    On my 2017 F-250 every time I do the filters “no joke” I primed it over 20 times and it still won’t start right off the bat. Fucker turns over for a while before it fires up. Always been that way. If my pump fails I won’t be surprised. But no matter what I do it won’t prime the whole system after a fuel filter change. Always has had a hard time starting up after fuel filter changes.

    So, as the rear fuel filter is draining, is it siphoning fuel from the gas tank at that point? Is the rear fuel filter called the primary fuel filter? And, would it hurt to pour the fuel that drains out of the rear fuel filter back into the fuel tank?

    • @workplaytv
      @workplaytv  Před 3 lety

      It’s just cleaning fuel out of the lines. I suppose it’s the primary cause it’s closest to the tank. I would use it. Good chance there could be water in the fuel in the bottom of the filter.

    • @Jethro2022
