    But when I saw that they backtracked I completely put the game and company of my black list.
    It doesn't matter your excuse, you don't lie to your customer. And they did it twice.
    First when they said it would be uncensored, then, when caught, they said that it was always their vision and that not everything should be sexy to work.

      The unfortunate thing is... you are giving what the deranged minority and ESG/DEI companies exactly what they want. They don't want this game to exist and this is their first major PS Exslusive in many years that went this far in sexy stuff in a time where that deranged minority are fighting tooth and nail to androgynize everything. Of all the dozens of outfits that have been allegedly censored, only no more than 3 (from what I've seen) were affected. As for Gore Idrk because I heard conflicting claims. But there's still a lot of ecchi outfits, there's still a lot of ones that give you pantyshots, and the jiggle physics with the chest and back are still there.
      This is an awkward dilemma where you still need to buy this game if you want more games like this even though it's been backtracked on a few things (allegedly) and voice out your problems with their changes as loud and clear as you can and boycott something else Sony related and make Stellar Blade your reason for the boycott, which from what I'm seeing is actually working. They put out a Tweet today thanking for "passion and feedback" and to "stay tuned for updates." That to me is sounding promising that we may see some sort of revert.

    I think it's important to note that it's not just censored with the day 1 patch. The 1.0 version has censored outfits, and this is easy to see when compared to pre-launch gameplay footage from trailed and whatnot. What people may not fully grasp yet is that Sony has always hated video games. Their foray into the market was only a case of "if you can't beat em, join em". You see, Sony owns a large chunk of Hollywood and the motion picture industry. They have interest in maintaining the long term viability of their asset portfolio in that regard. When the motion picture industry saw video games industry popping up as a booming alternative to watching movies, listening to pop music, it was like when a mafia is running the town and someone is encroaching on their mob turf. The "protection racket" was in providing the CD media, the way they shook down the competition was to say "use our CDs, or we will destroy you" and it almost worked on Nintendo who suffered a massive setback due to this racket. The push from the motion picture industry was to create new types of CD-based video games that are more like an interactive movie. The first place they tried this was on SEGA CD where it had some interesting results but failed miserably. On the Sony Playstation a different type of hybrid game saw more success however, with CG FMV videos finally becoming popular due to their use in Final Fantasy 7. But the direction this would go in was not intended to improve video games, but replace and destroy and handicap the industry. Now you see Sony pushes an entirely movie-based video game lineup. Their biggest video game is Spider-Man which is a game filled with movie cutscenes and movie-style story based game direction. It's obvious they do not like video games, and prefer movies to be the dominant media, and if they can't be they integrate the movie media format into a hybrid of video games and movies.

    There are 2 options.
    1. The "Censored" Version is the intended look for that outfite, based on what Shift Up's CEO said.
    2. He just said it because Sony wanted the changes and he doesn't wants to blame Sony to leave a negative impression with Sony.
    Anyways... I blame Sony, because they are known for censoring Eastern games and I doubt that Shift Up, who makes Nikke, is like "Yeah, lets cover up a bit more skin" and they just came up with that descision after the Game went Gold a few weeks before release.
    Which is dumb to begin with, because there are other outfits that are way more revealing.

      @TheGravityShifter Před měsícem +2

      I'm inclined to believe the 2nd one knowing Sony... But on the other hand the 1st one is equally valid because it was just two outfits as far as I'm aware, and there's several outfits that contradict the idea those outfits were censored. It's been said as well that the gore censor has been debunked but I'm not too sure about that one, and tbh, Idrc if EVE is covered in blood or not.

    • @GZCoo
      @GZCoo Před měsícem

      @@TheGravityShifter I mean, the thing is, if the censorship really isn't based on Sony... they could just patch the old/original version back into the Game and give the people want they want. Hell, if they really want their new design, which they maybe intended, to be in the Game... give people both, no one would complain about that.
      Unless, and I kinda doubt that, they are really headstrong about it and are like "We intended it this way and won't change it no matter what, let the people stay mad"... when otherwise they seemed pretty opend minded to stuff. Like Photo Mode were they said "If enough people want it after release, just tell us and we consider it" etc.
      But if the censorship comes from sony... well obviously they can't patch it back in and if they don't want to be negative towards Sony they just can stand with the statment of "this is how we intended it"

      @@GZCoo Yes and allegedly it's pointing in that direction given the Stellar Blade Account on X's response today. It honestly wouldn't be the first time Sony didn't censor a PS Console exclusive.
      The petition and efforts in the #FreeStellarBlade campaign is being led by Grummz who has been responsible for saving things like WoW Classic. I think we're in good hands because he knows what he's doing. Even going so far as giving Step By Step instructions on how you can be effective in making a change for this game.
      Time will tell, but the more I research on this topic instead of just taking what news reports or others say at face value, I'm more inclined to believe it was a Design Choice like Shift Up said it was, still not ruling out some kind of Sony interference though because contracts would keep them from exposing Sony.
      But I think it being a design choice holds up because there's still a lot of outfits you can get that haven't been altered which very clearly contradicts the notion of there being censorship. Like I literally got an outfit yesterday in the Patched version with NG+ where EVE is wearing this jeans fabric miniskirt and you can very easily just look up it and see her white thong, which is very much exposed when she has to bend over to open a crate. And there's still chest and back jiggle physics.
      The only reason I'm saying it's censored at this point is literally because that's the perception right now, and perception is reality.

I see people in the comments calling you a hypocrite for not returning Compile Heart games, but those people are all wrong. The difference is that the Neptunia games never promised any fan service, people only expect it because of the older games in the series. And if a Nep or any other CH game gets censored, it's usually BEFORE the game comes out. Most games though they're making them with censorship in mind, already knowing that it might get censored. For example they didn't even bother including the blood rubbing minigame in Mary Skelter Finale. The point I'm trying to make is that no you're not a hypocrite because CH games never promised anything and they had your expectations in check before the game comes out, while Stellar Blade went back on its word and released a last minute censorship patch. Sony obviously had nothing to do with the patch changes, and at that the only changes from patch were changes to 2/60+ outfits. Regarding that, it also seems pretty obvious now that the developers themselves had intended for those 2 outfits to look the way they are now, so it isn't really censorship. If it is, then by that classification any change or cut in development is also censorship and lying to fans, which I think we can agree is pretty ridiculous. I like your content, but I would feel pretty bad about making a statement like this towards a game that is trying, and succeeding, to be the content you want.

      It makes no sense for the physical release to be printed with the old outfit designs and more gore if they weren't supposed to be final. The day 1 patch was forced. What we can't be sure is wether or not this was pressure from higher ups at Sony or within the developer team itself.
      History points to Sony, but it still is entirely possible for the devs to have caved down to social media and made the patch themselves to "save some face".
      Either way, it's still false advertisement. The game released a certain way. The devs promised nothing would be changed. And it got an update that changed some things. Those things weren't modified while in development, which would excuse them as early versions and not censored, they were modified AFTER the game released.

    • @Screedawg77
      @Screedawg77 Před 14 dny

      @Hambs23 The gore changes were incorrectly reported, and the outfits weren't changed by the patch, they were finished. This is evidenced by several outfits sharing the same design motifs that were added to the two changed, so they likely just had to ship those outfits unfinished and patch in the correct versions after additional development time. Like others have pointed out, there are outfits more revealing than these two outfits and in the same areas of the body, so claiming it's an effort to censor the game doesn't make any sense.
