    Range can be up to 20% more with 15 PSI more if the tire can handle it. Contact traction reduction then run both motors and never ride in the rain. If you have many modes of transportation.

    • @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide
      @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide  Před 3 lety +2

      Pinch flats are the wors, because the air loss is so immediate. Really make sure to inspect the inside surface of the tire. We have seen a couple scooters get chronic flats after a pinch flat, because the tire developed a burr inside that was rubbing on the new tube. -Paul

      Hey there Paul,
      I got a red Emove Cruiser and my friend got too close by the curb within the bike lane and scraped the right edge of the deck. The scratch basically took off paint and you can see the metal inside
      Would be a nice suggestion for a nice touch up

    • @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide
      @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide  Před 3 lety +1

      Ugh! That sucks. I've got two solutions. One of them is weird. Go to your local auto parts store and buy some touch up paint. This can be dicey, trying to find the right color. With red, if it's not coming out bright enough, put down some white first, because red is always a little transparent and needs something bright behind it to make a bright red.
      Here's the weird solution. Take your scooter to Home Depot and get them to make some house paint to match the color, and then brush a little clear coat over it once it's dry. Can use clear nail polish. House paint isn't very durable, but I'm thinking the clear coat would help. I've used this trick to touch up the Sand Beige interior of my Porsche 911 back when I still had it. But that was a flat-ish finish, so I haven't actually tried using clear coat (may not be compatible at all with latex paint!). You could just go for gloss finish latex and call it good. -Paul

    That digital pressure gauge that you showed from Amazon is actually really good quality. I got it for $20 and I have one for Presta and one for Schrader. Yes, I know I could simply switch the heads, but for $20 I like to have one for each and then I don't ever have to mess with it.

    Also if your tyre pressures are too low it can effect your battery life and your range as well. I I've just installed two new batteries tn my scooter and the batteries seemed to be running out of charge way too quickly but I remembered that my tyre pressures affect the batteries if they weren't pumped up to the correct pressure which is 45 PSI. I checked the tyre pressures and they were far too low, pumped them up and the scooter ran better longer.

    • @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide
      @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide  Před 3 lety +3

      They're just smaller volume and the point where they stop opening the valve stem of the scooter is really close to the point where they break the seal with the outside of the stem, so they do a much better job of not losing air. And, I just have a much easier time getting them screwed on/off. -Paul

    I just bought a Mansso Smart Air Pump for me e scooter. It checks and sets tyre pressure and can pump up tyres on bikes, cars, balls etc. I’ve not used it yet as I’ve never used 1 before and I’m bit worried that I might do something wrong and mess up my good tyres. Any1 know if what I bought, is any good for pumping e scooter tyres and check set pressure? It’s costed around £45 . The tyres on my e scooter say psi of 36. Should I set to this or a little higher? Also, I don’t know what valve to use, will there only be 1 that will fit my e scooter tyres? Any advise would be great.

    • @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide
      @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide  Před 3 lety

      I haven't tried that pump yet. Just take your time getting to know it, to make sure it won't over-pressure your tires. If you run a little over it's ok. Just let the air down to the recommended pressure before riding. I really like the metal adapters I use in the video, but depending on what scooter you have, you may not need an adapter at all. Cheers -Paul

    • @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide
      @ESG-ElectricScooterGuide  Před 3 lety

      You can try lower pressure, but I would keep it bewtween 35 psi and 45 psi. Anything lower than 35 psi and you're really risking getting pinch-flats. You also have to keep a close eye on pressures if you're running them lower, because you won't have a lot of pressure to spare if you lose a few psi. They sell some aftermarket shocks for that scooter which may help, but I haven't tested them. Remember to keep your knees bent when riding, and look ahead, so you can be part of the suspension too. -Paul
