So The Body took his biggest pay day. And used it to created a Charity organization along with a Scholarship fund for an inner city school. I researched this, it’s true. WHY does no one ever talk about that? That proves without a shadow of a doubt that The Body is an amazing human being who deserves respect.
Because people just want to hate
Sanders/Ventura 2016. What could have been.
Jesse is one of those people who can do anything & do it well. Navy SEAL, Wrestler, announcer, Governor, TV Personality, etc. What a Great Guy.
Don’t forget actor. “I ain’t got time to bleed” from Predator
And a great storyteller! I could listen to him tell stories all day. What a life.
UDT not a seal
Governor was an amazing run
But can he worship Jesus Christ well?
That's the only 1 that REALLY MATTERS and he cannot do it.
God > GREED
Morals > 💰🤑💸💲💶💵💰
Jesse is the sort of guy, you end up bumping into at the pub on the way out, and then 5 hours later your still sitting in the pub drinking and listening to his stories.
I'd love to have that happen!
Jesse don't drink
Jesse was blessed with a great speaking voice, would love to have seen him host a game show like PRICE IS RIGHT.
Ventura did host a game show in the past but idk, man.
I think Jesse's voice fits with broadcasting football or (of course) sports entertainment.
"Hey Jerry COME ON DOWN!!!... AND HURRY UP I AINT GOT TIME TO BLEED"!!
Jesse, Gorilla and Vince announcing matches was classic💪🏼💪🏼
Yes!!!!! Listening to their commentating was a big part of my childhood
IKR
I grew up with Jesse and Gorilla on pay-per-views and Jesse and Vince on SNME.
@@jeffreyriley8742 Yes!! Those were the days!! Remember those classic rubber wrestling action figures? I sold my whole collection for $250 a few years ago. Now I regret it, but at the time I downsized and needed the space
I still remember "it's like watching 2 karp kissing in the Mississippi"... lol
When Jesse was a color commentator along with Vince McMahon wow it was so different and fantastic
They were great together!! 👍🏻
Totally agree with both of you, magic times!!! I liked Jesse and gorilla monsoon together as well, just brilliant !!
Listening to Jesse talk soothes me. The realest commentator EVER!!!
I think he's a legend but those "s" pronunciations kill me everytime they whistle hahaha
Used to work out wioth him at "The Gym' in Plymouth, MN. He talked just as much in the gym!
Jesse has led an interesting life. From being a navy seal, to being a member of a biker gang, to pro wrestler to actor to governor, it’s pretty amazing really, I agree with someone in the comments who said it would make a good biopic, I’d watch it. Love that guy.
Well NBC made a biopic but it wasn't good. Lol
Technically he was Not a Navy SEAL. Jessi was UDT. When he was in the Navy the two
were separate. SEALs had more training and saw more combat.
Almost unbelievable
@@tboman4128 not really true as the UDT was disbanded and became part SEALs so using today’s definition he was a SEAL
@@jax9254 No when he was in the Navy he was a UDT not a Seal. Period.
Jesse and Gorilla were the greatest announcing duo.
Yes, they were my favorite wrestling announcing team, too!
Totally Agree
I think they're second. Gorilla and Heenan are still the greatest. Everyone mocks Gorilla's play by play, but he could literally have the top two spots on greatest wrestling announcer duos ever, so he did something right.
@@maxxxmodelz4061 Ventura > Heenan
Bobby Heenan's mic skills dwarfed Ventura's; Bobby's wit left Jesse in the dust!
"He had to call me Governer" LOL! Love IT!!!
I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Ventura in a bar in Baja México. We were watching a live band on the beach. We talked about his early wrestling days and he said the most pain he had ever been in, the most torture, was down in the “Dungeon”, getting trained by the infamous Stu Hart in Calgary, AB, Canada. He said he had been through a lot in his life, but that place was the worst, but he said it with so much respect for Stu as he learned so much from him. He is such an interesting human. He is what the USA needs right now.
Would love to meet him too. He won’t be coming to Australia soon I don’t think😂
When did he train with Stu Hart or even work in Stampede?
@@curthennig9448 I don't remember the years but I assume it was around the time he was Wrestling in the 80's...... SO I just did a quick google search on Ventura/ Stu Hart/ Dungeon and there it was.... Jesse Ventura was the first to mention the infamous Stu Hart "Dungeon "publicly when he was a broadcaster for WWE. Why is this so hard for you to believe? Why wouldn't he be friends with the Hart family, he literally wrestled with Bret. By the way, I NEVER mentioned Stampede.
@@yupitfoyamut5988 Jesse was spotted by Eddie Sharkey at his gym back in 1974 and Eddie went on to train Jesse. Sharkey then called Bob Geigel down in KC and got him booked on some shows back in the spring of 1975. I'm not saying that Ventura never visited Stu's dungeon or got some wrestling pointers from him. I've just never heard that before. Usually if you get trained by the owner of a promotion, you would more than likely wrestle for said owner for a few months before moving on to another territory. Even though you never mentioned Stampede, I'm quite certain Ventura never wrestled for Stu at any point in his career.
Sooo many wrestling guys came out of Minnesota. It's crazy when you add them up.
Total studd, always was.
Seen him several times, the man really shined as a ringside announcer.
I was in stitches with the stuff he came up with off the cuff and most people never caught half of it.
His stuff with Gorilla is legendary and also the way he used to speak down to Vince and probably meant most of it when he commentated with “McMahon”
One the coolest wrestlers ever always enjoyed him
Oh god, he was SO bad lol
@@bustersales6921 But his personality and charisma was awesome. Most wrestlers are boring in the ring anyway.
Gives out a scholarship to a kid from his high school. Every year.👍🏻👍🏻
Let's just all take a moment & marvel at how legit Jessie is. He might flex a bit but he has earned every bit of it.
Definitely, he is proud he always controlled his destiny.
Class act and a true badass. Smart as can be and a true patriot.
Fantastic bloke, brilliant life story. I’d like to see a biopic about it.
Her got a movie about his life bro
His bio epic is Predator. Jesse ain’t got time to bleed.
I can hear how proud he is about the scholarship. He should be.
Jesse the body!!
You don’t realize how great we had it in wrestling in the 80-90s until we look back now.
Couldn’t agree more !
WWE is dead now and has been for ages
Agree!
When he n Ivan Pushki had an arm wrestling match
The pose down was the best!!!!!!😃😃😃😃😄😄😃😄😄😃
I remember Ventura wrestling in the South as a kid spending my summers in Arkansas. I have always enjoyed him.
Even when he's talkin he sounds like he's giving a promo
Crazy how these guys are on the road that much and managed to stay in crazy shape!
Gyms plus 💉 I'd reckon
One of the finest heels of all-time! I always admired the fact that he never turned into a baby face! Perfected the heel announcer role too. Very street smart and charismatic!
The Body Shop segments were pure gold
The scholarship is a beautiful thing done by Jesse.
Always good to here his honesty about how things worked in the business, would like to hear his take on AEW.
i dont think he knows too much or cares about cosplaying.

😎😎😎
Not to mention Blaine in Predator. “I ain’t got time to bleed”
free ?
he is so free minded and happy❤️🙏
Met him in Minnesota. He was right behind me in line waiting to vote. He tapped me on the shoulder,I turned around and my nose was even with his chest🤣🤣
Crazy to think that this guys was the most sane normal voice that a Minnesota potitician has had.
I have loved Jesse from the 1st time I saw him strutting to the ring. Knowing about his charities tells me I'm correct with my hero worship
Jesse is a good story teller!!! If there is a story to be told, Jesse Ventura is gonna tell it
Fantastic broadcaster, he was my favorite announcer when he did Buccaneer pro football games for a while.
I had to look that up, I had no idea he did radio for some games!!
Jesse such a great Guy. Very smart man. Big heart.
Love Jesse just brutal honesty every time.
Thank you for posting this video. Jesse Ventura is Loved by the good people hated by bad parts of the political system .
Jesse ventura, wow what a life. God bless you brother.
Very nice talking Jesse Ventura. Long live 100 yrs.
Jesse is an excellent speaker.
Jesse the body Ventura is one of my heroes
What a badass vet,and an awesome wrestler, just an all around amazing man
Love your interviews with Jesse 👌💯
Ventura is one of the best Heals ever
I got mad respect for jesse... when he was governor, the nfl wanted the state to pay to build a stadium... He said, you have money...build it yourself! Details may be fuzzy, but hats off to him!
I remember seeing Jesse in Boston in the early 80's💪. Awesome guy giving out scholarships. 💯🙏🏾
Great Announcer 👏. One of the best!👍
Love Jesse. Don't always agree with him... but I love him.
It always cracked me up when Ventura called Tito Santana "Chico Santana."
You forgot Chump Hogan. Lol
@@mr10tomidnight You're right!
How about Ivan Puduski
Jesse Ventura👍🙋💪
Jesse Ventura is a class act.
Jesse should run for President . He just might WIN
I really enjoy hearing jesse tell wrestling stories.
Great guy ..i always like listening to him
What a legend. I went to that SummerSlam event. I remember there were protesters outside the Target Center who were bothered because, "How dare Jesse try to earn money on the side while working as a public servant!" Back then I thought, "Fuck 'em," and I still feel that way to this day. I was nineteen years old and went with my mom. She paid! XD
The event took place on a sunday, generally speaking governors don't work on sundays anyways. A whole bunch of people get upset over nothing.
@@joemckim1183 Sadly, it's so much worse now than it was back then!
I voted for Jesse.💪💪
MY TWO FAVORITE WRESTLERS BACK THEN , JESSE THE BODY VENTURA AND IVAN POLISH POWER PUTSKI. I WOULD'VE LOVED TO SEE THEM AS TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS
"I ain't got time to bleed."
"You got time to duck??"
Another pro wrestler out of Minneapolis!
One of the few pro wrestlers that excelled in real life also! He definitely is someone that deserves respect for all his accomplishments!
Jesse, we need you to get some color in your match tonight. Nah, i ain't got time to bleed.
You got time to duck
One of the best. Take it like a man and stick it to the man when needed.
You were the best Jesse no one even comes close to you when it comes
If hulk hogan didn’t exist, Jesse Ventura would of been the Hulk Hogan of that era.
always enjoy hearing Jesse speak
Jess Ventura for President.
He still sharp upstairs it’s phenomenal
This guy is constantly shaking his head.
Always liked Jesse Ventura
I have always like hi vibe since I first saw him wrestling. Hands down the best heel announcer of all time. I like the way he takes his feelings out of situations. He never hated Vince he just didn’t agree with him to say the least but still did the ref thing. And I feel like Vince gives back that same energy
The only one to guest ref TWO Summerslams, ‘88 and ‘99
Holy crap, i totally forgot he refereed SS 88!!
Took the proceeds and started a Foundation in the Inner City of Minneapolis and gives a 5K Scholarship to 1 student each year
I salute this man, that is phenomenal!!!
I was never a fan of Jesse as a Wrestler but best believe I am out of that ring.
I loved seeing how proud he was saying that at the very end. You could tell that was a genuine smile he had when thinking about helping young kids at his former high school.
My grandmother taught Jade at a school in Anoka, MN
Jesse for president 2024!!!!!
i wish Vince would suck it up and bring Jesse back. It would be HUGE!!
One of the very few to actually beat Vince
I almost forgot he was a wrestler. Hearing him talk wrestling is strange now. He’s Down in the Baja now
It makes sense that the ref gig was Jesse's biggest payday just because the business had exploded at that point and there was so much money to go around.
Jesse was a great commentator!!
Love this truth teller. Wish he had a voice in our “government.”
Sanders/Ventura 2016. What could have been.
The Governor! Much love to Governor Ventura!!
Jesse keeping it real.
I didn't know he lost his daughter Jade, got to love Jesse the body Ventura
And don't forget when he called Ivan putski, paduskie. Jesse was very good at what he did, very comical
You know your in trouble when Jesse starts rocking back and forth
Love you Jesse. Happy for you.Salute.
For some reason when he said " You ain't got time to worry bout the build up" I was like say it say it!! Oh wait were not doing Predator lines..but i perked up anyway
Love Jessie Great Dude ! ! 💯💯
Gotta love Jesse.
Great man. God bless 🙏
How can u hate this guy
I always loved The Body. Watching him whip Tony Atlas’ ass in the Boston Garden was a highlight in my young wrestling fan days.
That’s when it was awesome sucks now but I still love and watch it
Respect Jesse!
I grew up on the team of Jesse the Body and Gorilla Monsoon. :) Classic AF.
Love this guy.
Just like yesterday I remember how big WWF was. Mr. T, Cyndi Launer having Lou Albany in her video, and so many people would wait for the Sat night manias.
@Sam Pizna seriously, that’s not a joke! And it taught us patience. No instant gratification.
That's Cyndi Lauper and Lou Albano. Learn to spell.
He is cool ... Must be a joy to hang out with
God bless Jesse Ventura
