    Interesting point, we filmed most of this video using the amazing Chihiros WRGB2 Pro light which we highly recommend to make fish pop, but in this instance we found for the Gold Laser Corydoras it had the opposite effect, so we switched the light for half the filming to a cheap 12w bulb and they showed up so much brighter. Chihiros light and Gold Laser Corydoras is not a good combo IMO based on the footage (hopefully that helps someone someday)
    We hope you enjoy the video :)

    I started my first fishtank a little over a year ago and these were one if the first fish I bought. I'm starting to see the Females get thicker and sometimes they all go crazy around the tank but no breeding thus far. Hopefully they will breed in the near future so I'll have even more of them.

      It def sounds like they are warming up for breeding bud, maybe just need a little longer to mature?!

      You just cant beat a Corydoras and we as hobbyist have SUCH choice nowadays in the hobby so their is def a cory for everyone and every tank should have a couple of cory's to complete it IMO! Appreciate your continued support Mark, hope you and your family are having a happy easter :)

      Thanks bud! yea we are okay, hows you?! Bit disappointed with the footage from this one, we filmed half with the amazing Chihiros WRGB2 Pro light which made the Endlers look amazing but the Corydoras look dull, the other half we filmed with a cheap 12w bulb and they looked much better! Very odd!

    They're so gorgeous but a bit too expensive for me to get a good sized group atm. I just love corys so much, my last group were with me for over 10 years and I still miss them every day. When I get some more aquariums set up if my health gets better it will be wall to wall corys again :)

      The word Gold in the name inflates the price lol! Its strange though as they are a pretty easy Corydoras to breed, hopefully the price comes down when more hobbyists get breeding them!

      Thanks for the comment buddy! While they’re often considered the same in the aquarium trade, there’s still some debate among hobbyists and scientists about whether they’re just color variations or potentially different species. It’s always interesting to see how much variation can exist within what might be the same species. Appreciate you sharing that!

    I have kept gold and green lasers for 10 years or so, and the only part of your video I disagree with is when you say 'up to 10 years'.
    I have not lost one yet far les from old age. As with all catfish they are long lived, I would not be surprised to have at least one ,ten years from now.

    • @Aquadiction
      @Aquadiction  Před 5 měsíci

      Hi John, thank you very much for sharing your experience with the green lasers and their lifespan. You clearly take very good care of your fish, which is to be commended.
      So the reason we say up to 10 years is we are trying to give a good medium and cater for everyone as a kinda average; the lifespan is a very tough one to nail down for most fish because, as I'm sure you know, there are so many variables involved keeper to keeper, happy to take suggestions for future videos though as we 100% appreciate constructive criticism (or any criticism really it helps you improve). Unfortanly, we can't go back and edit this video because CZcams does not allow it, but we can update our website profile as and when we like, so if you could suggest an average lifespan of up to x years, we would be happy to make the edit as it will def help the visitors! We have added a "share your experience" with every fish on our website at the very bottom of each profile; we would love you to share your personal experience with whichever fish you have kept, as it would definitely help the 60k monthly visitors we get, but it is entirely up to you bud! We really and generally appreciate your comment, and your experience is priceless!!

      @@Aquadiction Thank you for your kind response I will have a look at your web site, but for now just two observations 1) give fish more room to hide than be on show and they will re-pay you. 2) we are all guilty of researching your fish after buying them (tut tut) but at least make shore you have similar waters to their natural water or you are ither condemning yourself to a life of complicated water management or your fish to a shortened life.
