Long time Flyer fan since 1972......Tony 0 & Bernie the best I ever saw. Had the pleasure to see a 1-0 game between the 2 that still remains one of the best games I ever went to..
I remember this series this is when fans started cheering during the national anthem.I also remember radio stations here in Chicago saying that if the Hawks had a chance in the series they would to check and check the Oilers !!! I remember going the Chicago Stadium for Bulls ,Hawks and Sting games as well ice and circus shows .
7:40- i got chills again watching this; i was at this game and we were really going nuts trying to push the Hawks to victory// That place was truly a MadHouse back then!
Tony O, in his last season, still showing his brilliance!
Second to last season. But, last full season, so you're kind of correct.

I miss those days at the old stadium where standing room only also meant sitting in the aisles watching Savard work his magic

What great times, Hawks in the 80's was awesome
When goalies had cat like reflexes unlike today where the goalies wear oversized equipment and are on their knees most of the time
As an oilers fan Andy Moog was the reason I became a goalie
Gotta love the long sloping corners of the boards, unlike today that are more squared corners
Being a kid at this time I never noticed the transition from no ads on the boards to ads. Always thought they were there.
If Dr. Frankenstein could’ve created a Gretzky/Savard hockey monster it would score 300 points a season.
I'm still bitter about this series to this day. Bitter and salty.
