with kripke telling them that a tenure position is open each guy does to their gal about it well except raj from season 6 episode 20 The Tenure Turbulence no copyright intended, entertainment reasons only
JonatasMonte I mean yea, in hindsight tho, you should’ve realized that the ‘enlightened’ people walking around are called Doctors and not Masters-but that’s Ofc just hindsight.
Haha that seems weird when you think about it isn't it. 😂 Among the 7 of them, I think Sheldon and Penny are the only ones with a good relationship with their parents. Interesting how the two of them went to the exact opposite ends of the spectrum.
I like how their just eating a plate of lettuce and all just picking out and eating the cherry tomatoes. Either that’s the only edible thing on the plate or they all just love cherry tomatoes
Howard and burnette really grew a lot from being in a couple together. Eventhough its tv its nice to see what a real relationship is suppose to be like. Growth together.
Amy doesn’t do buttering to impress or make Sheldon look superior than all but to make Sheldon convinced and get an attention of him who doesn’t knows how to put social interactions, but she’s doing her part to make this relationship work!
I like how Raj vents about not being allowed to buy seat warmers in a car his parents bought him while I was thinking “Dude you got an expensive car my dad won’t even let me buy a luxury car as my first car.”
Raj was the funniest in this scene :D Sheldon and Amy are so cute, too xD One thing I did notice, however, was that they were all eating the same thing... :P
Tenure requires teaching both undergrads and graduate students. Can anyone imagine Sheldon doing either? How he'd ever even get a tenure track position and keep it long enough to be up for tenure is laughable.
All of SoCal, I lived in Northern California for 10 years, people started layering when it hit the 60’s. In the 40’s and 50’s they wore the winter coats I wore in Ohio when it was below zero lol
@@chickennugget9004 It's the same all around the world. People from the northern hemisphere go to southern hemisphere beaches during winter and if you live in a desert like climate you see things the other way around. Good luck enduring a 40ºC summer if you're used to a temperate climate.
Oddly enough Sheldon once pulled a prank on Kripke that ended up affecting the president and board of directors but oddly enough he wasn't fired, i suspected tenure but that can't be it
The set where Penny and Leonard are eating looks similar to the set where Leonard and Priya ate dinner and Penny eventually came inside to interrupt the date.
Mahadev Bibil Doesn't try hard enough. Wastes his money, quite spoilt. If he didn't nag and complain all the time and actually put some effort in he would. With Sheldon and Leonard they have work to prove it. If I would've picked a person it would be Howard even if he's not in the running. He's been to space so he gains donations due to recognition. In terms of his work he's quite advanced in making stuff. Although he builds robots and did make stupid decisions. He's matured the most and works the hardest and deserves it for his kids.
I always thought I couldn't fault Jim Parsons as an actor. But watching him play with his food, pretending he is about to eat is the most unconvincing thing I've seen yet.
Exactly. It's annoying how Amy clearly is not satisfied with Sheldon, but the writers keep them together for comedic relief. Sometimes it's not even funny at all how Amy yearns for more.
Tenure is a rank in academia were a professor cannot get fired for ideological reasons, such as an unpopular opinion. The only way for a tenured professor to get fired is if they grossly break ethical standards, neglect their duties as a professor or are deemed as grossly imcompetent.
well you cant get fired under tenure but the reasons you can contractually be fired for are much slimmer and more exetreme as long as you show up to work and do nothing horrible then yeah they cant fire you practically
James Joseph Parsons (Houston, Texas, 24 de marzo de 1973), más conocido como Jim Parsons, es un actor de televisión, teatro, cine, y productor estadounidense.
This is how I found out about tenure.
Same
Now I also know that a Masters degree comes before Doctorate.
JonatasMonte I mean yea, in hindsight tho, you should’ve realized that the ‘enlightened’ people walking around are called Doctors and not Masters-but that’s Ofc just hindsight.
Really? My freshmen year of high school had a video teaching us what tenure is
DieselPatches IsHomo different school different teachers that is all it means
The best part about this video is raj venting about his parents😂

How is it that among the four of them, Sheldon has the most healthy relationship with his parents?
He had Jesus.

To be fair, it has more to do with them than with him.
Imagine if Sheldon's mom was Beverly, Sheldon would definitely be a supervillain
'move out,buy house, get married,start a family'
Ooor, the chainsaw!!!
Go with chainsaw,much safer. Lololol
The way Sheldon says Ooor almost sound like You're, meaning be a metaphorical chainsaw.
I like how their just eating a plate of lettuce and all just picking out and eating the cherry tomatoes. Either that’s the only edible thing on the plate or they all just love cherry tomatoes
I think it's rather the ease with which they can talk. Stuffing a lettuce in your mouth wouldn't be so practical
It also looks better on camera. Lettuce is harder to eat gracefully. A tomato is small, brightly colored, and mess-free.
I thought I was the only one noticing. And it quite pisses me off.
0:09- I like how Penny jokes about her own situation
And the episode ended and WE NEVER FOUND OUT WHO GOT TENURE!
Yeah, I know, right?
My thought has been:
1) Not Sheldon
2) Either Leonard or Howard
I don’t remember the timeline exactly but I’d like to think Howard’s trip into space got him tenure
They all lost
@@SuperJoshdave Howard wasn't eligible for tenure.

The most unique part about this sequence is, that they are all actually eating for once.

Who needs a seat warming in Southern California?
Cory Tollman because people in so Cali think 50 is cold

Why not Raj? Most of Leonard's work "is extremely derivative."
