People saying just "accept yourself." are not being realistic. Think about it. Imagine always having to wear a shirt when you go swimming. Not being able to change in the gym because people want to kick you out due to "being in the wrong restroom". All the things that seem like little inconveniences to a cis person add up when you're trans and just trying to live your life. His tattoos look great.
Thanks for this. I've just had breast cancer surgery and have had a mastectomy with no reconstruction. It's so hard to find any examples of people who have had nipple tattoos on people who have had mastectomies that have chosen not to have recon (their are loads who choose recon). I'm also non-binary trans masculine. So I'd like nipples! I know Joe hasn't been in my situation but this is one of few examples I could find to learn about a) whether this could be done and b) what to expect. So thank you!

Depending on the person's recovery, it might not be painful at all. I lost a lot of feeling around my nipples afterward. Except for that one time I had phantom nipple pain. They had to cut off my nipples and reattach them during surgery so the pain was on a different nerve ending and it felt incredibly weird.
I thought mutilating your body to fit a standard of beauty was bad…? Remember anorexia, eating disorders, bulimia, plastic surgery addiction, body shaming, etc? How is this not the same thing?
