Yes these are just a bunch of tipically touristic things, while he's pretending to be exclusive, not really achieving his purpouse. Just ridiculous. He probably doesn't know anything about the true trending contemporary jetset in Milan. Not that it is important, but if you're trying to act as a so called fashion or exclusive person, you should know that... Jesus I just feel so sorry for this guy...

@@peter5470 Yes, I live here and the duomo of course is a majestic piece of history and gothic architecture, but my favourite parts of Milan are the rationalistic and littorian architectures, and of course the rarest example of "mediterranean" brutalism wich is the Velasca tower. Newcomers could also love the more contemporarian Gae aulenti square with Unicredit tower and the Bosco Verticale (not very notable according to me), or Citylife also...
What are your recommendations? I am traveling there in October for work.

not at all, from a milanese... Just ridiculously pumped up touristic things, not trendy or jetsetting at all in Milan these days, he probably doesn't know anything of the real city about fashion, art and jetset...

Milan was great, the Milan cathedral was beautiful, the last supper was a must see as well. The food in Milan was great but Florence had better steak and Sicily had better pizza. Still, pasta was great, wine was amazing. Overall Milan is one of the best cities I've been to, there's history, art, culture and unique to Milan is fashion and commerce. All of Italy is awesome and each city has it's draw but Milan was amazing, Venice is a close second then Florence. Yeah I spent a lot of time up north.
You are right about rude staff, it's not just there. Florence has very nice people though. Milan must be too fast paced. Still, awesome city I will visit again

The first time I visited Italy, which was in May 1997, one of the places our tour group visited was Milan. We visited the mall and the opera house that are seen in this video. There is a mall in Naples that looks like the one seen in this video.
That Savini restaurant looks amazing.......my first time in Milano I almost had my first meal at McDonald's then decided to eat local, what a great experience in this beautiful city.

summer bummer Yes! I agree w/ that. When he came into view & intro that he was the founder. I said, “oh wow”. I also though it was a group of people or something like that. As he shared more, & more of his views through the video. I kept saying to myself - I wonder what his background is. As to why he felt motivated to created this specific channel. I am subscribed to a few channels. This by far is my # 1 favorite channels. Ashley in London comes 2nd. He does a Luxury channel.

That's not luxury, just stereotipical bunch of touristic things, he's not pretending so well at being exclusive and fashion, he probably doesn't know anything about the real trending jetset abits and places in Milan...
I think U got the cross colors wrong, but outside of that, I think the video was fine... Not spectacular, but fine.. I would have liked to get more specifics that wasn’t mentioned 🤷🏼♂️.

Hi, a very good video, i'm writing from Milan, and i work in the tourism! That is the first time than i saw a correct travel guide of the city of Milan do by a foreign. Just a detail, there are many other wonderful place in Milan, not only Scala/Duomo/Galleria, but I understand that it was not possible to make a video longer than that
Fortunato Monti I’m sure there are many other hot spots in Milan. But in keeping w/ the nature of this channel. I think that’s why they focused on this specific area.

I really love this Milan video...for a number of reasons.
I love to travel...I've done a bit myself.
The production quality of the audio and video, across the board, is excellent!
It felt very unbiased..."the waiters are usually rude but upon realizing that they were going to be recorded by and posted on ALUX, they replaced the waiters with a manager." (...paraphrasing). That was really funny but refreshingly honest/uncompromising...that made this video so much more authentic.

Interesting... Milan also has the Castello Sforzesco, Da Vinci's horse, Sansiro - the largest soccer stadium in Europe and last, but not least, the Michelangelo's the Last Supper. These should have been included. Becuase they weren't, you get s thumbs down.

Very accurately depicted. I lived in Milan for decades. They're not friendly to foreigners because they judge you by your outfit. If you wear it wrongly on different season and day, you're viewed as someone who doesn't know style... even if for you it's stylish. There's an unspoken set of rules.
