Could you give tips on growing Organically? Pest control? Fertilising?
Business output vs income and what profit was after all costs? Thanks

Please look at the way a small scale potato harvester works.
    Some vibrate
Back and forth, forward and backwards.
Some up and down a fraction of an inch
They ALL have have metal rods that come back and up to lift and separate the soil more with less pulling effort.
    You are using brute force.
At the very least that heavy weight could be replaced with a single cylinder gas engine that gets started after the blade is in the earth.
The engine vibration would help spare the clutch.
It's better to send the wear to the 3 point hitch swivel balls than to have to take the tractor in half to replace the clutch.
If needed attach a (very) slightly out of balance weight to the single cylinder engine, ( an old worn out pulley with 1/3 of the belt groove cut off ?)
You don't need to lift the root crop completely out of the ground so 3"-4" rods about 3/8" diameter should do job.
    This would destratify the soil.
Keep thinking lads I believe your on the right track.

At least put a point on that blade.
LOTS of horse power lost because digging stress is the same full blade width.
Why does a swept wing jet have the same shape as an arrow head ?

Was that the lowest gear for the tractor? Looks like it was going really fast? We usually run ours in first and just slowly creep down the rows at a steady pace

I think that was first. I'll add a second comment if after I ask Nik he says otherwise.

Looks like a Ford built grey Ferguson, and the original Fergusons unfortunately didn't really have a low enough first gear to be useful for a lot of situations. The 35s that succeeded them had a low range gearbox and would pull that under cutter effortlessly with the same engine.
