What is ASMR?
ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. It's a non-scientific word that an everyday person came up with to describe the feeling characterized as a pleasurable tingling sensation felt in the head, scalp, back and other regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, and/or cognitive stimuli, such as crinkling bags, hand movements, whispering, personal attention or watching someone perform a task. It's like goosebumps but much more pleasant and without the uncomfortable chills.
ASMR videos are meant to intentionally induce this sensation in the viewer, often referred to as "tingles", but the videos also serve to provide a relaxing, calming and soothing experience for the viewer. Many people who do not experience ASMR still enjoy the videos for their calming and sleepy effect.

Our attire should be casual but include an overcoat/hoodie with a hood (sleeves optional for warmer weather) to mimic a robe, with our emblem on it.
For rules, I like a lot of The Satanic bible rules (do not harm animals unless for food, don't hurt kids, consent is a must).
Mascot should be the jackalope with wings (there is a name but I forget), it's a sweet, welcoming cryptid. Also if we have a mascot costume I would love the job of wearing it for events and such.
Good cult song should be one we create together. Handshake should be similar, I do think it should be along the lines of "pushing your buttons" and "calming hand motions".
I also wouldn't mind assisting with daycare needs.
I like the Cult of Inconspicuous Person's as a name.
Our purpose for our cult could be a mix of spreading ASMR, positively, knowledge about cryptids, and stories.
A slogan could be "Hello, I hope you're doing well."
Activities: video games (tournaments!), board games, card games, arts and crafts of various kinds.
I'm free Saturdays for meetings, online would be good too for quick info. (This was fun)

Big step of a cult, is isolation. Seperating the followers from none believers makes it easier to normalize the actions and beliefs of the cult. Restricting what people can watch, listen to, or read limits triggers that can make people question, or think anything that runs counter to cult agenda.
Another big thing is recruitment. You never start by asking people to join. You start by asking something small, like inviting them for coffee. After they say yes to something, it begins conditioning them to keep saying yes. Introduce people slowly to the idea while getting them to engage in other ideas.
Next, is using simple things that are proven to work. For instance, when overwhelmed, focus on the task one part at a time. Use little every day bits of advice, and lable it as cult teachings. People associate the sucess of such tactics as proof, or validation that everything the cult teaches is true or valid.
I list this not to get people to start a cult, but to recognize manipulation or situations that might be dangerous. Knowledge is power lol
