Thank you, I came here to ask that. So many people don't realize the UK has a bigger gallon and think their cars are magic, because they get much better MPGs!
Tony getting down from the Litreboard before was just for extra character develepemnt. Making him run on kerosine and stuff was the equivalent of training montage.

Tony winning the highway measure while being flatout is hilarious because it's a technicality. If you're full throttle, Tony likely physically cannot get worse gas milage than what you recorded.
the funniest thing is that internal combustion engines are most efficient at high load and constant rpm (which is Tony going flat out down the highway)
Not wasting any power drawing air past the throttle if it's fully open the whole time, and it's the minimum amount of heat lost to the cylinder walls on each cycle.
I know it'd be a bs calculation but i think it'd be funny to do the nissan leaf and hook it to a little generator to charge it up to get its "fuel economy"
That would actually be a really interesting comparison to show EV economy versus ICE! Not entirely accurate since most EVs charge off the grid, whose electricity is generated (presumably) more efficiently in bulk than with a small gas generator, but it would still be really interesting.
I get filled with such an immense feeling of pride seeing Tony take the crown every time, even if he's Italian by design he is made with Polish love and it shows. Godspeed our mały pierdołek.
I am super interested in the next free car video. We see the first test drive, and then the series ended suddenly. We only get little nuggets of info like seeing a glimpse of its interior pulled apart, and now this gas leak. I was pretty invested in the saga and am dying to know just how many new problems emerged, lol.
Tony was listening to 'Eye of the Nugget' during his training. Tony survived nonstandard fuels. He survived alcohols. He survived zip ties and even endured shoe. Tony Kowalski was ready for the Litreboard.
It’s so fun to hear 110 kph is fast to you guys. Here in Germany on the Autobahn you’re supposed to go at least 130 on the parts with no speed limit when possible. And every “normal“ road has a 100kph speed limit😂
We only have one place in Australia which is 130kph in the Northern Territory, that used to be unrestricted but it was reduced recently. I'd say normal highway speed in cities is 80-90kph and outside its 100-110kph. But that varies a lot, there's some motorways which can go as low as 70kph. And you really can't get away with speeding here, there's cameras everywhere (and in some states, you're not warned beforehand). For the first 4 years of driving in NSW, you're on learners/provisional licence, and in that time, if you get done speeding at all (even 10kph over) you will have your licence suspended 3-12 months, depending on severity.
@@ziggybadans I think those kinda speed limits make sense in areas with dense population, but your country is so huge! I imagine it must really suck driving for longer periods at such "slow" speeds
_"on the Autobahn you’re supposed to go at least 130 on the parts with no speed limit when possible"_ Isn't 130 the maximum recommended speed, and everything past 130 a "do at your own risk" speed? It's not "go at least 130", it's "you are allowed to go over 130, but it's not (officially) recommended". From Wikipedia: The advisory speed is not enforceable; however, being involved in an accident driving at higher speeds can lead to the driver being deemed at least partially responsible due to "increased operating danger".
@@VitoFurhonestly there is so many animals out in the country areas that if you go to fast you're likely to end up with a kangaroo or emu crashing through your windscreen and killing you, still the freeway speed could be increased to at least 130 without to much trouble I think

It's so funny that if you had a Tony that magically could never have any mechanical issues etc.. you'd be saving quite a bit in fuel even if driving it made you miserable.
Wade's challenge now is to deliberately look for an ICE vehicle to dethrone Tony. I notice there are no diesels on this list - do they just not work when they're driving upside down or something?

My average city milage is 13.4L per100km travelling from Seven Hills to North Parramatta for work. My best highway milage was 7.3L per100km travelling from Brisbane to sydney but the average milage on long trips is around 8.3L per100km. Combined was around 10L per100km travelling from Caboolture to Eagle farm for work. Granted this is data is split between 2 major cities but that milage is/was consistent and spanned months. Also driving on the M1 through the Kurangai Chase the tacho sits at around 1700rpm at 100kph in overdrive. Sometimes if you dont pay attention on the lead up the car will eventually drop back to third and sit at around 2900rpm but once you get back up to speed it will go back to 1700rpm and stay there.
