    It's honestly hard for me to see Izzy losing here, he has gotten so much better since this fight. In my opinion, the Adesanya that fought Rob the first time, gets his ass kicked to the current iteration to Izzy. I also find it difficult to find any paths to victory for Rob, Izzy clearly out strikes him and the only person who was ever able to successfully win by taking him down was 25-30 pounds heavier than him.

      I still feel like Robert has a better style and fight IQ, but lacks the physical gifts Izzy has (long reach and more power). A 7" reach advantage is huge at this level.

He's had about 100 kickboxing fights in his career, that's why it's hard to say there's anyone better than him at striking. He's one of the top strikers in the UFC right now.

      Don't be fooled by the activity. He landed less strikes than Izzy in 1st and got dropped bcs he was mostly rushing in to headed hunt and missing while Izzy made reads and started setting traps for him.
      Round 2 speaks for itself.
      This was an overall awful performance.

      I know robs studied this to death, which is why the rematch is very interesting BC I know if Rob feints the oblique and launches an overhand, that catches Izzy in this moment.
      There's tonnes of little moments like this where Izzy seems to be just one move ahead like a chess player, but that's all it is, one move. Rob is more than capable of catching him if he doesn't bring top game.

      The only reason he didn't fight more is UFC was holding out for the New Zealand card because it's the biggest fight Izzy could do in New Zealand. But he hasn't got a long way to go at all to being considered greater than Anderson. And don't give me the crap about how only title defenses matter because they don't or mighty mouse would be the GOAT of MMA. People need to stop changing there standards.

      @@T33K4Y96 exactly. Rob felt if Gastelum could hurt Izzy on the feet, then he could too. Rob felt he was quicker than Gastelum and hits harder than him as well and didn't stay in that mid range to be hit.
      I feel Rob used Gastelum's gameplan and failed miserably. I feel he's now trying to use Blachowicz gameplan to mix up the striking and wrestling like Jan did
