    Sold ALL of my junk Chemical Guys polishing stuff and went Rupes. I am sooooo glad I did. These pads and compounds are amazing. One cool thing about these compounds is that residue splashing and pads wash very easily with just plain water. Expensive stuff but if your time is valuable try this stuff.

      Just did the same as well. I went with 3d though. There'd a 3d store literally 1 block from the chemical guys shop in my area. I wad bkein away by the few products I got from 3d. I like to try and keep business local if I can. I'd like to trt rupes stuff as well. Just got thier yellow and white foam pads. I'm super super noob when it comes to polishing but I'm watching a ton of videos.

      @dm9103 so two step would you say a rupes yellow microfiber or wool to cut and a rupes yellow foam to polish? Or one single type of yellow to do both cutting and polishing.

    • @dm9103
      @dm9103 Před měsícem +1

      @@11onejay I like the combination of blue wool and finish with yellow foam. I like to use blue foam pad on rotary nano polisher when you have to do tight areas say the edge close to window seal. Also I do recommend using their color coordinated microfiber towels. They do work better than your standard towels to remove the residue. I would also suggest having some form of way to clean the pads with air. Either a compressor or do what I do get yourself a good carwash air dryer. I cant remember the name of it but mine is like the top of the line $400 unit and it comes in very handy as a tool in the garage. Worth the investment and it cleans polishing pads brilliantly.

    I would love feedback from anyone reading this on the specific topic about PRIMING these pads! My buddy who loves the rupes polishers when i showed him the priming stage of the polishing pads he shook his head and was completely blown away by the process. How does the paint not burn from this priming process doing 20-30 seconds with any pads? I dont believe it burns clearly because if it did you guys wouldnt recommend it but my buddy thinks we will if we follow this process. Is there another way to prime or is priming 100% necessary? Id like some reassurance from anyone about this. Its crazy to me to think about holding a DA polisher for 20-30 seconds with some pressure and say on the blue stage and it doesnt burn through the paint! Love your guy's videos! I cant wait to start using the Rupes Polishing System!

      Ive been using the Rupes system for years and Jason Rose even came to our dealership for some group tips and instructions for my detailing crew. The priming is essential and I have done hundreds upon hundreds of paint corrections over the years using this method. I have never burned paint priming and always had great results with Rupes tools and products. In conclusion prime away!

    Hi.. i watched so many countless videos on youtube about polishing before i do my own car, and so many seem to have contradictions on how to use a rupes polisher. Can you confirm with the Rupes polisher first.. that with polishes that are not the rupes DA polishes... should people be spreading their polishes over the surface before polishing? Also they start slow and then speed up their machines. Should this also be occuring?
    I noted with the Rupes DA polishes (and pads) that you start on 2 and then use speed 4 for your passes. Someone here in the UK who says he is a Rupes instructor states that you only should be doing 2 passes with the DA polishes. Is this true? Im not seeing this on most detailers youtube videos
    The Rupes DA polisher seems to be uniquely designed in use, and that previous rotary methods should now be stopped.
    As a newbie who is beginning to bring in the correction stage to his own detailing of his car, it would appear a lot of well followed detailers are doing it all wrong?! some advise would be great. thanks

      @chrisgomez155 Před 2 lety +1

      Sounds like too much product is being used and maybe not priming the pad correctly. I've have the old and new blue pads and never really had any problems with either. Prime the pad as they have shown on a low speed, after the 20-30 seconds slowly work your section and make a few passes. When you do turn up the speed I wouldn't go past about a 4 as at 5-6 you might have to deal with some sling. I hope this helps and happy correcting!

    The new DA system is garbage. The blue pad needs improvement because it doesn’t keep the product inside the pad but spread it everywhere in your shop instead. The truth is RUPES makes good machine but their compounds are not as good as they say. The yellow pad is excellent tho. If you are looking for a mid range polishing pad the yellow is excellent. The pores in the blue pads are too big and the foam is too hard. Best pads are from LAKE COUNTRY. The best compounds are tough to identify because they all react differently towards the paint issues. Not one compounds are perfectly fit for a problematic paint. Meguiars and RUPES are not the product you will need in a normal shop because they are too limited. When it comes to the 3” inch pads, the blue is the worse I ever use in all sense of the words.
