- This was a very difficult video to make. I had to write and re-write and re-film this thing twenty dozen times until I was happy with it. I'm not even sure I'm happy now!
A lot of you may have noticed that the YT hasn't been uploading. This video explains why.
There will most likely be another video talking about all the good and a few other things after this one - but I wanted to be honest with everyone and summarize my feelings about the entire channel and the year and few months we worked HARD on it.
Sometimes stuff just doesn't work out. Somethings things weren't meant to be. That's okay. Gotta keep going.
Still going to be live on Twitch - and I should be when this comes up - so feel free to come over and ask me anything you want while I'm live at any point.

A number of you think this is me entirely quitting content but it isn't - I'm still always on Twitch (twitch.com/delrith) and working on other projects. Lots of cool things being figured out!

Not gonna lie I actually teared up watching this but in the end I'm smiling. I'm happy your able to move forward into something better for you. Maybe not with content creation but in other way, your words hit home pretty hard. There are certain people you just root for on CZcams, and you are one of them. When you left AJ, I was really pulling for this channel, but I’m sure you’ll figure things out!
I sorta saw this coming. Just based on the outside numbers I figured your analytics weren’t that great. It sucks because I was rooting for you and I came from angry joe to you for that very reason. I hope you figure it out and do whatever makes you all happy.

I know it's not the most helpful but I looked you up after watching Joe's video talking about the ps5's wild price tag. Remembered you made content with them years ago and wanted to see what you were up to. So I guess from this channel this video is my favorite bc its the only one I've watched but it's cool to see that you're still going to be making stuff. Even if it's less frequent!
It's heartbreaking to hear but i'm glad you feel better about what you want to do. Have always loved your vids and streams since the ajs days. Gotta say, my favorite vid is the Maxi/Godfoot argument, not just because of how hilarious it is, but just the pure unfiltered interaction and discussion (if we can call it that) between all of you. I'll keep watching on twitch and keep hoping for the best for all of you.
I didn't even know you had a channel until today. Tried looking it up online, finally find it only to see a goodbye video. I'm crushed and I wish i found this channel sooner.

I've always thought you, Godfoot, & Maxie had good interactions & a good dynamic. I'll continue to look for you guys on Twitch. Game specific I liked the Dead Space but overall I enjoyed the Gaming News series.

It's sad to see such a channel leave but it is understandable. CZcams is a harsh mistress and bills have to be paid. Personally, Ctrl+Alt+Delrith is the second channel I've seen leave in just the last few weeks. They also left for another platform. I wish you the best and want you to know that this channel did not fail in content or quality. CZcams failed in not recognising and promoting Ctrl+Alt+Delrith.
Yeah. We all as a team poured an incredible amount of money, time, and effort into the channel just to see youtube's alg destroy us with shorts ruining long form content. We launched at the WORST possible time and had no way of knowing

Sorry to see you go - hope you get to a better work/life balance! As for favourite video, to me it was the news videos that I enjoyed the most, followed by the Elden Ring review. I enjoyed your content as I felt it was from the perspective of someone who had been there, deep in the weeds and the sidequests, and done it all. Have a great one!
The news videos was my favourite with godfoot and maxii, was sad godfoot stopped doing it but enjoyed the humour maxii added to them

I’m gonna say elex 2 was my favorite because I generally was excited for that game but then I seen your video and you helped me scale back on making some money decisions
Aww man, I'm genuinely sad. Your reviews were always my favourite from AJS, they were concise while also being detailed and you could tell that you actually understood the game you were reviewing and explored it fully. You are super well spoken, and easy to listen to and watch.
I was excited when you started your own channel, I am not really a fan of twitch, so when you finally came over to YT and started dropping bombs I was exstatic. You had a superb team and your content was killer.
I am very sad to see you go, but at the end of the day you have to do what is right for you both mentally and financially, and I think, especially regarding the latter, that is probably the hardest part. I've had passion projects of my own that I've been super proud of, and still am, fail to gain traction in any meaningful way (not necessarily online). And while we don't do it for other peoples validation, who can lie and say that it isn't still appreciated. Especially when it directly affects your overall well being.
Thank you guys very much for your hard work and I wish nothing but the best for you in whatever life gives you. Hard work DOES pay off, but sometimes it takes awhile and sometimes the rewards aren't what we expect.

You gave it your best, that's what matters. I think you set the standards pretty high right from the get-go, and along the way got burned out too quickly. I've been following quite a few not-very-popular creators simply doing 7-10 min daily videos regarding gaming, just thoughts, and lists - those types of stuff. Some of them do it for years before getting to the 100K mark, but I thought because it's not full-blown effort, they manage to keep at it for longer until CZcams caves in. Really sad to hear you're finally throwing in the towel, but I'm happy you've found what would make you happy.

The "Saints row damaged my brain" video was my favourite. I really enjoy watching you play with Maxi and Godfoot. The chemistry between you guys is awesome and the shenanigans hilarious XD I've always enjoyed watching you play games so I'll see you on twitch
Sad to hear it but completely understand. I prefer the streams over the video reviews because they've always felt more...you. The scripted reviews are written well but tend to lack that Del personality that I enjoy.
Your channel is one of my favorite man, do what you gotta do for yourself. Mental health and state of mind is far more important than youtube🤘🏼
Happy for you Delrith! Not everyone has the wherewithal to cut their losses, when you've reached that point when you're just plain miserable and unhappy with your job and you actively dread going to work.
CZcams's policies are trash, they blatantly favor their Chosen Creators over other creators. Rigging the algorithm in their favor, and actively downranking those in "the doghouse". It's pretty much pointless to use this platform anymore, getting view throttled and dinged for the littlest things can be huge setbacks. Theirs hope with Elon Musk and X, providing badly needed competition with CZcams and Twitch. Not to mention the promise of AI doing a lot of the "Grunt Work" and freeing up a Content Creators time to focus more on the creative side of things.
My favorite moments are the early Phasmophobia streams with You, GODFOOT, and Levi. Nothing but good times and good memories. That GODFOOT scream is Iconic, very memorable lol I'm not saying Wilhelm scream, but close lol

My favorite videos of yours are the "state of". Really good catch up videos for games after release, not many other people do it well at all. Or the Del and friends news shows. I think any community member would have the news shows at number two. Those were so hilarious and well done.

You know Del, it happened to me. The feelings of not liking what you do, the constant negative feedback we give ourselves when the night comes, like what I could do, this is not working, I am not getting a real benefit from work, but bad time. I got a lot of anxiety, just because of work, and why not, life. The way we have decided to live it. It didn't take too long to manifest through physical symptoms like dizziness, a bit of panic, general unwell state... I am so happy you have made this decision. Do not wait until you reach more serious problems. People who like you and wish you the best really want you to be good, in good health. That is the most important thing, do not take notice on us when we tell you you are going to be missed for the time being and that an honest reviewer like you is always appreciated in a world full of youtubers praising Madden hahahahaha. Best of luck from a Peruvian friend.

The sad truth behind youtube and twitch, for every winner there are millions of losers. It's an investment that shouldn't be done, period. Unless you're 20 years old and have more time than knowledge and hope to get lucky. Good luck to you all fellas, I've enjoyed my time here.

Followed your work since you were with AJS and i was excited to see the work you would do when you branched off on your own. You didn't disappoint!! Your reveiws were fantastic and you hit on the points that mattered as a consumer looking to purchase there next game. Dont ever feel that this channel "failed". Sad sad day. I loved the news videos, and would watched them all the time. I have noticed over the past few months CZcams keeps tweaking the notification system. Like channels I used to watch every video don't get pushed to me anymore. Booooooo
Been watching your stuff for years...way before you went on your own. I just.....can't with Twitch. I can't. As a viewer, it's gone downhill significantly in the past year or two and I simply never log in anymore. I've stopped watching the platform. I loved your CZcams stuff.

Delrith is definitely the definition of a hardcore gamer that’s passionate about gaming. It seems like he struggled with coming to terms with the negatives that come with chasing your goals. You do need to be selfish and other aspects of yourself will suffer but at the end of the day all you have is you. It’s a common struggle, we want to be with friends instead of staying in isolation grinding on our goals. Achieving your goals will bring new and more opportunities, good luck.

My fave videos would be your news videos. Because you talked about other stuff besides games. You would add positives. Example about the "make a wish" where a kid was able to play, Midnight sons before he pass away. As far as I know. You are they only group or channel that talked about positive things companies did for people. Those were my favorite. Just wish you all would show your faces on the videos.
Honestly Del, I don’t blame you for moving on. Honestly though, the best thing is to not chase algorithms but to be you (like you’re doing now!) and you’ll find people like myself who want to watch your content. I found you via Bob’s videos on Lethal Company and I’m glad I did!

Thank you for sharing this del! I have followed you since before you struck out on your own and will follow you with wherever you go. I think one of my favourite videos on the channel is "A "CIVIL" CYBERPUNK 2077 DISCUSSION" and I think those off the cuff "discussions" are still a good idea for the channel as they are genuinely fun and entertaining and can more naturally be recorded and take some hopefully not too major editing. Either way Del I am not the best community member as I have been struggling alot with my own stuff and have become fairly withdrawn even from the ones I moderate for and I am sorry that this is the case but have no idea how to fix that. Regardless thank you for everything you do and attempt to make and I know I am not alone when I say I am here for the long haul. You are absolutely one of my favourite content creators whether that be streaming or otherwise and I look forward to seeing where it takes you next and being here for the journey.

CZcams isn’t an “easy” platform to get into. And sadly it’s easy to lose yourself in the process, you need to take the time for yourself most importantly, when you say “making content is hard” you are 100% right. Playing games and live-streaming can be a very stressful job to have when people rely on you to produce content for them daily. CZcams isn’t for everyone, it’s certainly not for me lol, I make videos because I wanna build a community and I plan on becoming a video game designer. And I do have those tendencies where I wanna make CZcams a job, but I realized that if I did. Then it would mess me up for life, so Delrith there’s no shame in leaving CZcams.

I went onto twitch and have seen you havent been on in a while. Hopefully you are doing good, and hopefully if you ever decide to comeback the algorithm recommends you to me. I actually think you should come back and hope you see this message. There was certainly potential for you to succeed on your own, look at DarthMicrotransaction for inspiration. He was a quirky D4 YT content creator, and he made it. Your biggest strength is quality commentary on games and industry. I know this might sound crazy, but I really feel as though someone like you can succeed with the right content strategy going forward. If you merge your excellent reviews with ongoing commentary on the right things, especially in this market, I really feel as though there is room for you. I know that it might seem as though your hard work wasn't rewarded, but with all great things, sometimes it just takes time.

I actually preferred your weekly news round ups. You had a similar format to Angry Joe which I normally followed but because you released it on a different day - you often had different news stories to cover.
